Havoc

Received a sudden sms last night from sil that they are gg to send the maid back, all because of MIL.

It's a chaotic situation when the maid didnt do anything wrong, but she has to be sent back because of internal affairs among the family.

MIl just dont see how serious the consequenses is when the maid is being sent back.
Who's gonna wash handwash the clothes again? FIL.
Who will remind FIL to take his medicine?
Who will cook for FIL for his lunch?
Who will tidy up the house and do spring cleaning?

What is going to happen if FIL falls down and nobody knows at home?

She is just tooooo much for everyone to take it.
I'm so affected. haiz.

Should I?

Been checking out the courses at community center after rie expressed interest in taking up ballet. Wah, not easy to find ballet courses meant for 3 yrs to 4 leh, because majority only teach 4 and above...

Then I chanced upon this hair cutting course, thinking if I should go attend then I can cut the kids's hair and if I'm good enuff, can trim for hb too. Provided I overcome the fear of using the shaver lor..hoo hoo.

What a thursday....

This morning the sky didnt look too well, and I had to rush rie to school before the heavy downpour. But unfortunately, we only made it to the busstop and the dark clouds came and rained..sigh....

We were stuck at the bus stop outside her school. So near, yet so far. Then, we chanced upon her classmate and her mum gladly shared her brolly with rie and her daughter, so I can concentrate on reyes. BUt on the other hand, I fear for rie too, coz she is so clumsy and I was so worried she would fall...tsk tsk.

The rain stopped by the time I sent rie in. See lah. Haiz...Reyes holding the brolly walking home....And the drain on the side, that's where he always stops to see if there is any water in there.
On the recommendation from blur, I purchased the leapfrog DVDs and started playing for the kids. Initially, I was complaining to blur that my money seem to have went down the drain, coz R&R didnt even want to look at the screen! BUt thankfully, they kind of took an interest when I sat down with them and had to make it some really fun to watch the DVD.

And surprisingly, rie, being the older kid, picked up very fast. Yesterday, I heard her singing the Word factory song where you put a " C" and you add it to "AT", put it all together and you get "CAT", something along like that.

And I also missed out showing her the leapfrog singalong readalong books that I've kept high up above my cabinet for fear they would tear it. And I started reading to her the " KISS" booklet and she is able to remember after reading it twice. This morning, she sat on the mat and read the booklet on her own....

This is one point that I think I have did a great job. When she was young, I would read to her everynight, and I suppose this has developed her interest in books. Reyes is so opposite. He would only pick his vehicles and cars book, or on pets. Sigh...

But a good point to note is.....tah-dah! Reyes knows a teeny wee phonics now! that is also after watching the leapfrog...and his favourite is " Ber ber ber" for B! hoo hoo hoo...
I am happiest when he says " Watch frog, watch frog", ie he wanna watch this leapfrog dvd.
At least my money is well spent...

Sidetrack...reyes is such a fuss that I want to grumble about him. He would always say " Change change underwear" whenever he goes to the toilet bowl to pee! Initially I thought maybe drip onto the underwear, so I changed. But then soon after I realise it's actually dry and he still insists to change! So each time he goes toilet, I have to change a new underwear and it's very frustrating sometimes lor. Grr.....

but he's such a clean freak like his sister..Cleans his hands when wet and doesnt like any water droplets on him and when some pee got onto his thighs accidentally, he takes the towel to cleans it off.

Look whom we bump into today!

I didnt even realise that there was a fliming ongoing when I walked home with reyes in tow.

I only spotted this guy in checked shirt, standing alone with a map infront of his face, I only manage to glance his sideview and after passing by, then I realise that the crew people are actually infront waiting to film him.

Thankfully, reyes was in my arms drinking his water, otherwise on normal days, he would take his own sweet time to stroll home and stop to look at the drain for any water etc.

So the crew had to wait for me and some other passer by to quickly walk out of their view before they shout : Action.

I thought it was just some small film shots, there wasnt any sight of the mediacorp bus or van and no other actor or actress were around either. SO being KPO, I stayed on to watch lor, wanting to see who that checked shirt guy was...

And as he walked towards the crew and when the director shouted " CUT", OMG, it's him lor. The handsome hunk - Elvin Ng. I only remember their names in English. And he's so tall and handsome leh!!!
He actually smiled and then walked towards me and reyes and held reyes's hand and spoke to him, although reyes have no idea who he is lah. Hoo hoo...I was so dumb to actually say " Elvin right? You look so different on the television." Darn!

I had wanted to whip out my hp to take a pic, but I was so stoned and paisay to ask. Wanted to get his autograph too, but I dont have any pen or paper with me either!!! Bang head. And I didnt want to appear like some old crazy auntie fan either. But now I regret lah, nv take pix. But isnt it weird to say like, can I take a pic of you?

Normally is take together, but I carry so many rubbish thing with me, and whose gonna help me take pic too? Ah well...

So after awhile, he had to go and he did a friend kiss goodbye to reyes..awwwwwwwww

I hang around for few more minutes as reyes wanted to wander around. So I manage to see some filming ongoing....I smsed hb & he called me immediately asking why nv take photo? Aiyah.

There was a chance when I could walk to him and ask if I can take a pix, but I didnt have the courage to do so. If it's AK, it would be totally different man!!! I'l run to him!
**The above 2 pic were zoomed from where I watched the filiming and is the closest pix I can get lor...boo hoo.

What a brave girl

So last night, we were actually in high anticipation on how rie will behave at the dental clinic. Would she refuse to go in? Would she cry? Would she even agree to sit on the chair?

It was drizzling and it helped that the rain made all of us feeling cool. Rie thought we were heading to the barney show and kept asking me where we were going.

I didnt know what to say. As much as I wanted to tell her we were going somewhere, I had to tell her the truth. She didnt flick when I told her she was going to see Dr Lim, the dentist.

It helped that the mini dora books that I bought for her had 1 titled " Dora goes to the dentist" where dora learns all about the instruments that the dentist uses etc and even got to choose a sticker at the end of the session.

And also we watched a Mr bean's episode where he visits the dentist too.

It's a simple dental clinic. We went in, rie was okay, curious about everything. And it helped that there was a large LCD screen which Dr Lim showed Thomas the Train to keep R&R quiet while he spoke to hb and myself, a little intro on what's with the milk teeth etc.

Then he proceeded to use this torchlight thingy to see rie's mouth. He was telling her to open her mouth wide and I had to repeat after him. LIttle that I know it was actually a mini camera which snaps pix of her teeth! So there were screenshots of her teeth and he noted one of her molar has many ridges and maybe prone to cavity next time.

He told us for kids this young, it is impt for them to maintain proper care of their molars, because they are often the most neglected and the last to fall off and erupt new molars. He went on and on lots more and then finally said, he will try his best to patch up the cavity on rie's front tooth. But first he had to scrape off the duno what thing that surrounds the cavity.

On adults, they use drilling. Of course with kids that young, drilling's out. So we moved back, use scrapping. But because rie's tooth dentin is already showing, it maybe sensitive to scrape the surface. So we moved back, to use air spray or water spray something like that. If still cant, then gotta use cotton wool and dab with duno what lah.

So I was instructed to bring reyes out of the room leaving hb with rie. I am also very anxious to know what's happening, but I cant go in.

So after 5 mins, I went in to wait and rie was out! "So fast??" was my reaction and she was actually smiling!!!! And she had a flower balloon that Dr LIm had scupltured for her. And he managed to fill up the cavity for her using the scraping method and she didnt cringe! What a brave girl!

So asking hb is macham asking an accused what's happening. So I turned to rie and asked her what went on and she can actually recall step by step what happened etc and she said she is like Dora now, nice set of teeth. Except the sticker, I told her Dr LIm didnt have time to go and buy stickers, so I will remind him next time.

I was so gan cheong that I didnt snap any pix....boo hoo, maybe next time round.

Say "AH"

Tonight, we are bringing rie to the dentist.....
I'm glad to be able to find a dentist who is good with kids so nearby our family doctor.

I sure hope she will be co-operative tonight. Gotta bring some stickers to reward her after that man.

What a weekend....

Friday night, it was a nice cool evening, rained through the night.
Took a drive out to the Sheng Shiong near my bro's place, great disappointment.
It stink like hell because of all the live fishes and what you have that they place inside the squeezy shop.

Rie nearly threw up on smelling...thank goodness she didnt.

Maybe we should have stuck to our initial plan to visit some 24 hrs NTUC. darn.

Sat...Sometimes as parents we are just plain selfish to make the kids skip their nap! hoo hoo. Hb's been bugging me for days to go to the Robinsons sale at Expo. It's so unlike him to cheong for such sale, especially all the way to expo? The last time I pester him to bring me there, he was like what???

So well, we were found at Expo after the kid's lunch and wah..so much to see, so much I wanna buy, but I cant when we have 2 restless kids... So I told hb, I carry reyes and you deal with rie and we go separate ways.

Reyes was very tired and he kept on calling out for papa, but I was shopping shopping..The DVDs and VCDs were going really cheap. 3 VCDs at $10 and 2 DVDs at $20. I would have bought more if hb wasnt holding out his black face. So bought only 2 dvds, a fox long cardi at $9 for rie and a belt at just $6. Cheap cheap. Didnt manage to find anything for reyes though.

And I also bought a bra for myself at just $15, hb a shirt at $25 and lots and lots of tibits!!! End up the total bill was $100 and hb just couldnt believe his eyes and double checked TWICE after making the payment. Argh, I hate that lor. Why cant you just keep your eyes open and watch when the cashier beeps your item? We had to ransack twice the plastic bag to see what we bought. So well well...went off happily to mum's place for dinner.

Made a fast dinner and then head back East again to NTUC downtown. Hb's colleague jio him for BBQ and he was so paisay to fly kite, so dropped by awhile to show face. Wah..so happening leh. I think I've passed way long long the age group liao. Really miss those time of booking chalets and having BBQ. Must must organize one for the family someday.

I'm surprised so much have changed and they even have NTUC there! So not to fear of forgetting to bring anything. But I'm not sure if they are opened 24 hrs or not. Think likely not. They also have the bowling alley, new york new york and so many restaurants around. Pity we didnt have much time to shop, coz rie was really very tired and it's a long drive back home.

Didnt take any photos, simply no mood, dead tired......but I love how we manage to head out of house at 230pm and only returned at 1030pm. It's rare, so rare.

Tired night

It's been 2 days in a row, reyes waking up every 2 hrs and making noise, leaving hb, rie and myself waking up.

I'm a very light sleeper and I take 45-an hour to fall into deep sleep.

And if I should say just nap 30mins and got woken up, I need to "restart" my sleeping mood again, which ends up sleeping only in abt 1 hr later. So yawn...

It was that bad on Thursday that I self declared myself a day off from school and so rie skipped sch. Thank god today it's raining, and dad sent rie to school, so that I can rest alittle at home.

My backache is getting worst and I cant sleep on my back for long and it's so aching and irritating. I want to seek a dr to see what's wrong with me or is it just my simmon getting old. Sigh.

A peaceful only me and you moment in the afternoon...

I was just counting the calender months and jiggles are all coming back again. It's 4 more months to go before reyes starts attending school in Jan. We have just made the deposit today to secure a place for him. The debate to send him to school or not has ended.

It's all coming back to me now, the worries, the anxiousness abt reyes being alone, since he has never been separated from me, or attend any playgroup unlike riesia. And...the toilet training part. I still dont have the courage to diaper free him while out shopping, unless it's just a short trip between parents/ PIL place and mine.

Some times at night, reyes refuse to pee in his diapers and scream " shh shhh, toilet". At least for now, he knows when it's time he wanna poo, but that leaves me with just that few crucial second to grab him and rush to the toilet before the volcano erupts. Thankfully most of the time I'm on time..hee hee, so save the mess. I dont know if the teachers would understand what he is saying, and worry that he being one of the youngest in class would get bullied by the older ones, or tripping over since he's so clumsy with his shoes, and if he would be tall enough to reach his pee pee over the toilet bowl...worries non stop.

But at least he's very familiar with the school environment and routine and I really hope he looks forward to attending school.

Yesterday I was surprised that he is able to recognize flags of other countries, other than the Singapore flag that he keeps shouting "singa-por" and pointing to the HDB blocks on the way to school. So far his favourites are Japan, Hongkong, China, USA, Malaysia, Vietnam and India.

It's amazing how kids remember so fast. I get all confused looking at all the flags especially when there are a couple of them which is just a "Plus" with different colour difference. Feel so inferior not knowing other countries of the flags. So I learn together with them mah.

I'm still trying to correct rie on saying fifteen instead of fiveteen. Help!!!
It's so pressurizing for kids these days in primary one. I tried to find out more by asking the kids at the center I'm working at. They told me in P1, you learn +, -, X up to at least x5.
Then in P2, you learn the remaining multiplication and proceed to division and end of year start fraction.

Scary isnt it? So many of the kids in the center are aged 5 and above (K1 and above) and for those K2 kids whom I'm in charge, they are to master all the addition plus subtraction. And if you are one of the better student, you can start on multiplication.

But kids being kids, they have little concentration stamina, I myself have problem enforcing rie to do her work. Sigh....parents woes

R&R

Last weekend at mum's place, mum was saying that rie makes mama angry everyday.
Because now, I have to step in to discipline her when she misbehave at my mum's place.
And I"m glad my parents will not try to put their nose in when I discipline her liao, but of course, the grandpa, aka my dad will always say "dont scold her, she is a very good girl" or "when she is alone with me, she is very good." blah blah.

There are things that I do in hoping I dont give problem to my dad, but end up I made him upset.
There was a horrible week to start.
Rie's has terrible mood swings. One moment, she can be such an angel and the next moment if you just piss her off, she becomes a devil. And when she is in really bad mood, she starts to scold my dad and piss him off. And she will scold non stop despite my dad trying to sayang her etc.

And with that, rie hurt my dad's feeling and mum would call me the next day telling me dad cant go to bed last night, or dad told her why rie dont like him, or dad would ask mum when will this passing stage (ie. rie disliking a person) goes by?

Because when rie was younger, she didnt want my mum. Everything must be my dad. Even changing of pampers etc. I think dad was the happiest during that period, coz rie only wanted him. Now is the total opposite.

And so, that weekend when we came home, I received a sms fr dad to call him when the kids are sleeping. And boy oh boy that conversation was "hot". To cut long story short, he suggested us to bring rie to temple to pray and "seek" whats wrong with her. Because that day at my mum's place, she kept on scolding dad and when mum told her to stop poking the screen with the pencil, she turned and wanted to poke my mum's eye! Of course, I tried all means to tell him rie skip her afternoon nap, so maybe she's tired, etc. At home she is like normal etc.

And then he said rie dont want go to school, maybe something happen that's why she didnt want to go etc. Haiz...end up, I avoided going to my mum place the other weekend and mum sensed something not right when I smsed her that we are not going over for dinner.

Now that I"m married with kids, I find myself sharing with mum more things. Abt dad, abt hb, abt the kids. Maybe because I hardly have anyone close to understand and to say things that the other person understands too. Sometimes mum calls me in the afternoon to chat or vice versa. And that's when I got to know what's happening at mum's place about dad lor! hoo hoo hoo.
So at this point, I appreciate to have a daughter. At least she can listen to my sorrows next time. For now, she helps defend me or rescue me when hb "attacks" with his pinching claws....

And then, there was once, it was raining. When it rains, dad would sms to say he will help fetch rie home. So that day, I didnt want him to get upset, fearing rie would scold him in the car mah, so I smsed him that I want to let rie take school bus home to our void deck and judge what time she will arrive. Of course he replied okay.

But then he complain BIG time to mum! Said dont know what I'm thinking about, dont want him to fetch rie blah blah blah. Some times when it's not raining and he wants to fetch, I ask him why? and he say when he's free, he fetch lor. What can I say? I told mum, I pay $80 for school bus monthly. If dad fetch her every other day, that $80 how? Oh well...mum being caught in between also so cham at times.

So if I can reject, I will reject dad and end up mum's ears would suffer fr his complains..hee hee.

Anyway, it's been 4 days in a row since I tried letting rie fall asleep on her own!!! Most of the time I have to pretend to sleep in order for the kids to sleep then wake up and do my things when they are sound asleep. Now, I can walk out of the room to do my things when reyes is sleeping and leaving rie alone in the bbcot. Hoo hoo....

As for reyes, sigh....he's very very sticky to me. Maybe because I'm the only woman that he's closes to and that I have been the sole caretaker. But sometimes the stickiness really gets on my nerve, especially when I"m doing something or when I'm busy with rie and rie needs my full attention.

Things like bringing him to the toilet to pee, he also wants me to bring him and not his dad. Showering for him, cleaning him up with his bath towel, carrying him when hb and myself are out shopping, insisting to hold my hands only, insisting that I feed him only, and I have to be the one holding him and letting him hold me when he sits on the toilet bowl to do his business (and smell his "aroma"), purposedly put his legs under the bed or tv console and then yell for me to rescue him. If hb helps him out, he does this stunt again until I go and get him out.

Or going into the room, close the door and sob and yell for me until I get him out.

and many more...sitting down next to him to watch his Thomas Train and other DVDs and since 2 nights back, he wants to share sleeping on my head pillow together just to be close to me!!! I say "go to your bed", he says " Sleep mama bed".

Its' really heart warming when he is so close to me and wants me to be just next to him face to face and watch him sleep. Few weeks back, I had to sleep next to his Mini cooper car and his toy trucks in between us!!! when I push them aside and sleep next to him, he says " excuse me", and then attempt to lay them nicely back next to him, and I have to give them a place on the bed. WT......

So for now, we share. The same blanket, the same head pillow and I've gotta tolerate the hard plastic trucks and cars when he hugs them to sleep, on top of his precious cat and carebear one on each side of his neck. Sometimes in the middle of the night, he will cry for his cars and I have to give it to him. And I"m still hoping and thinking when will he learn to sleep through the night?????? Argh!!!! It's driving me nuts.

I had better enjoy his childhood with me, because I will end up sharing his love with another woman when he grows up.

Wonderful buffet luncheon

I had a great afternoon today with hb and son.

After hearing me "fa lao sao" for months, hb finally agreed to go for a weekday buffet lunch. It was so last min trying to find which hotels were having 1 for 1 buffet and we cant go too far as well, as we need to be home in time when rie is back.

So we ended up at Park Royal, Kitchener Road, just opposite the newly opened City Square. We've been there countless time for buffet dinner, but never lunch. And they are also reasonably priced too! At least anything which starts with $2x ++ is cheap to me lah. Anything that starts with $3x is expensive to hb.

Their buffet lunch is only $27++ and if you are a UOB cardholder, you get 20% off. So hua right! I called up Triple Three, Mandarin Orchard as they are offering 1 for 1 Mon-Sat. It is priced at $62++. Was rejected by hb. I went there for dinner once before, think it was for my birthday celebration, but I cant recall. The food there was fantastic and they even had a violist to come by table to table to play music for you. Too bad I'm not one who appreciate such entertainment.

So anyway, we faster send rie off to sch and then head down to the hotel just in time when they start their buffet. We were the first and boy oh boy, hb was so happy to eat to his fill with no one disturbing him! He kept repeating : 我吃得很开心,没有人烦我
Well, thats because when we are out for buffet, he often have to gobble down his food fast to bbsit rie or reyes once they are done with their dinner, fed by me. Today, he simply just took whatever food he like (he said all are his favourite) and sat there and eat and eat while I had to feed reyes and coax him.

They have a good spread of food. We had hokkein fried mee(the wet style, my fav), fried oyster omelette, Japanese food range(I had only like 8 pieces of salmon, which were sliced too thick to my liking. couldnt finish the 16 pieces in all. Now thinking back, what a waste, I should finish it, but I was really too full), fish, chicken rice, mee siam and porridge with pig intestine.

Their dessert I didnt really like. Only had their oreo cheesecake(1 piece nia), their cocktail, fruits, and my fav bo bo hitam, which I was craving for during the weekend..hoo hoo. damn satisfying to eat the bo bo hitam.

Thinking back, I still didnt manage to try many other dishes, so will definitely go back there again and I sure hope it's the same dishes.

Reyes was presented with 2 balloons from one of the staff. He's very happy to eat his watermelon and fruit cocktail. I'm glad my kids love fruit. Because my nephew and niece dont take fruits, but they take lots of veg....

Hb said, we are so bad to abandon rie for good food again. hahaha. And he added on, in another 4 more months when R&R starts school, I will have a good 3-4 hours own time and can relax and go shopping. Well well, maybe! And maybe both of us can go for buffet lunch when he is on leave too! Hoo hoo!!!!

All set to go??

Alright, so we finally have the courage to decide that we should deserve a holiday break and we are heading to Mysia via coach.

before I continue, I need to vent out my frustration with this Fivestars travel agency.
We rushed down yesterday, ie Friday at 730pm, went back to the same lady who served us that afternoon and made our booking with her, dates 13-17th, a 5d4n trip. and everything probably was settled by 845pm, ie printing of invoice, receipt, deposit made etc etc.

Okay, so fine. Then when we reached home at 930pm, hb was saying rie's gonna miss 5 days of school and I thought, maybe we change the departure dates from 13th to 14th, so rie will attend MOnday and at least when she is in school, that leaves us for few hrs to do our own stuffs.

Okay, so next morning, ie today, I was expecting hb to make the phonecall down at 9am. Who knows I received the phonecall from him during my working hours, which I am so tied up that I cant answer my phone at all. So after work, I called and he said, there will be a $30 admendment fee to be paid PER PERSON if we change the date. I was like WTF lor! It's less than 24 hrs notice given to fivestars and furthermore, only one location is confirm and not the other, as we are heading to 2 places - Colmar and Times Square, KL.

I was so pissed off that I kept grumbling when I reached home. I called up the head office only to be asked to call back the branch we made the booking. The lady was engaged with a customer and I asked another lady. She said the same thing that the $30 fee applies and I reasoned with her that it's less than 24 hrs we are making changes. Furthermore, that stupid non local lady said it would probably take 3 working days. Working days = no sats right???? Then who knows this stupid times square people are so damn efficient to confirm the booking of the hotel dates?

And so what, only 1 place is confirm and we are to be penalised with the $30 fee? This is so ridiculous. I left hb's hp number with that lady and was expecting that non local lady to call back, but of course she never call back.

And then I asked her about this credit card promotion with OCBC, she claim the promotion no more. But it's stated on their website a 5% off! and valid till 31 dec 2010.

I am so going to complain about it.

Essential Damage Care Nuance Airy Intensive Hair Mask

Last night, it was a secret rendezvous with.....myself! Hoo hoo. I sneaked out to TPY and left the 2 kids home alone with their father.

I was actually thinking whole afternoon how I should spend my night out. Thought of heading to a sushi restaurant and pig out on Jap.food. But hb had already bought my dinner, so I am found wandering alone at TPY, since I've only 2 hrs to spare.

Had wanted to head down to City Hall to meet up with sis, but then I've gotta rush home at 930pm, so dropped the idea. 2 hours is just too short for both of us to catch up!!!

So I first head to the outlets selling cheap toiletries, needa get some travel size shampoo, but didnt found the one that I was looking for. Then I went to Watson to look see look see.

Here's a product that I would recommend if you have spare $ for the month. It's on offer now at just $8.50, usual $9.90. I didnt buy this yesterday night, but on Sunday at NTUC finest where it's going at $8.50 too. I think it's a promo islandwise. They have 2 hair mask - Nuance Airy and Rich Premier.

I bought the Nuance Airy instead. I have heard lots of rave online and on many blogs when Essential invited them for a try on their hair products. I love the sweet fragrance of the hair mask. The pinkish packaging is a plus too, so girly and sweet. I've been holding back to get this for some time, coz I've still a tub of hairmask yet to finish. But since it's on offer, might as well try right?

I did as per instructed, to squeeze the excess water out of my shampooed hair and then apply the cream on the last 15cm. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sweet smell. All you need is just to leave it on for 5 mins and rinse.

My hair so so so smooth and my comb just glides down when I comb through my hair. It doesnt feel so "pomp pomp" when I tie up in a ponytail. I hate fat ponytails. The smell lasted through the night till next morning. I kept smelling it..hoo hoo and rie started asking me why am I smelling my hair and she also copy cat and started to smell hers! Check out their website

So back to Watsons...I'm really amazed how well stocked they are now with so many imported korean and japanese skincare range. There's this mascara, which is a brown masacra tinted with fine pink powder that I wanted to buy, but it's OOS, the whole box of tray is empty, can you imagine!

And I bought the Hada Labo Makeup remover. $17.90I was hesistating between this and another brand called the Mandom Cleansing Express Lotion which is a water based makeup remover cum cleanser. I never like oil based make up remover and hated that oily feeling on my face. So this was really a good product that I would get. I actually tried the skin79 bb cream on my hand and then used the tester of this cleansing express lotion and it removed it without a trace. No oily feeling too. Pix from here

It is a plain looking white bottle and I was trying to figure out how many ml is it, but it's not stated anywhere on the bottle. The amazing thing abt this lotion is, you dont have to cleanse your face with your usual cleanser. So basically is, you use this lotion, remove your makeup and voila. Actually you dont even have to rinse, but I'm not one who would not rinse my face after using this pdt.

In the end, I managed to find the 50ml sample size bottle going at $3.95 and bought 1 home.

My verdict after using the Hada Labo makeupremover :

I think it's a water based makeup remover, coz it stated free of mineral oil. My makeup was totally removed and I simply rinse off with water. There was a slight film on my face, but it was okay once you pat dry it. I normally like the feel of squicky clean feeling of my face, which is very bad I know, coz it dries up your skin. My skin didnt feel tight after the wash.

Yet to start using the other makeup remover, but I'm sure it works just as well.

Then I went to grab the movie BOLT for the kids. Now that the originals are so cheap, I hardly see any pirated ones these days. Bought myself a cup of Koi too. I fell in love with Koi, but always dread the long Q at the TPY branch. The Q over at AMK Hub is even worst...gosh man.

And then I head home after shopping at NTUC and acted like normal. hoo hoo hoo.

Barcook Bakery

If you havent heard of Barcook Bakery, oh man, you are missing out on some great buns they create!!!

I first had a taste of their famous Raisin Cream Cheese when SIl bought like 10 back home. Wah, ever since then, I've been craving for it and finally managed to persuade hb to drive down to Clarke Quay to hunt for it.

I was lucky in a way that I only needed to wait 13mins for their next batch of freshly baked raisin cream cheese and there was no Q! So I ordered 10, and added on the Ham & Cheese and Mash Potatos Nachos. It was just so delicious, the bread is very soft and fluffy together with the cheese...Oomphs x 1000000000

Check out their website here

I also found out via the website that different outlet serve different types of bread which are exclusively to that particular outlet only. Not sure how true it is, but SIL warned me of heading to the Hong Lim Complex branch, as its well known for the snake of Q.

Friday Night's Out

I miss those time when we have meet up with hb's pals without any kids. And then I tried to bring only reyes along and tong pang rie at mum's place. Then I have to start bringing 2 kids along after I sense mum being very tired after work and rie misbehaving at their place. Sigh...

What's the best baby sitter for the kids? I feel very bad. DVD players. So I start to restrict the kids from watching at certain time of the day and when I have no choice outside during dinner, then I will let them watch.

Reyes will be glued to the DVD, but rie sometimes, she gets really bored watching the same DVD over and over and starts to create nonsenses... And so, to ease her boredom, I let her be the photographer for the night...Here are some of the clearer pix she took for that night at Coffee Beans, Ion

I took this for her and she wanted to add a party hat..
Thank goodness they behaved very well at Din Tai Fung, Wisma. I didnt expect such a huge crowd and Q outside Din Tai Fung. I dont think I will head there to eat anymore, the place is just so warm and crowded, the kids were perspiring under the hot lightbulbs and I started to get hot too. I rather head back to my usual spot at Paragon.....

Happy Birthday Junior

My one and only surviving bunny ~ Junior turns 9 years old on 7th Aug 2010.

It's been a long way back since he was borned into our family. If only his mother and siblings were still around.....I miss them much.

What a hot hot day....

I'm starting to love Sundays. That's because I no longer have to wake up at 730am, drag rie out of bed then head to Shichida and rush home for lunch and her nap.

We have been spending wonderful time on Sundays. I love such quality time. So for this Sunday, we headed out of the house at 11am to Triple One at Somerset, after hb kept bugging that he wanna bring us makan at Applebees. PLS PLS PLS dont go there to eat, the prices are on the high side and the food serving is so miserable. I was too tight up to snap pix of the food.

I ordered the fettucine with Salmon, nice, but very small portion to my liking. Hb ordered some pasta and dont know what and for the kids, we ordered 2 kids burger with fries, which the burger is sooooo miserably small and the patty meat kept falling apart when I tried to cut it. End up, it looks just like minced meat. The meaty taste was quite strong too. So the kids didnt eat full for lunch that morning.

The best thing about that place is....NTUC finest. These days, NTUC has become our shopping haunt, for us and for the kids. And if you are holding on a Maybank CC, you get 5% rebate off your purchase and you can get to redeem free parking too for the 1st 3 hrs on Sundays. Other days, you get free parking unlimited hours after 6pm I think. And they are opened till 11pm. I love the spacious walking area and the wide variety of food. They sell imported fruits from Japan too and they are really not cheap.

Thereafter we decided to hop down to Botanic Garden and abandon the idea to head up to Labrador Park. Alas, the sun was really hot and the kids were getting very sweaty and tired after 45mins only. So we left the place within an hour home.

It's been a long time since I snap some decent pix of the kids and I'm rather disappointed this time. Sigh....I still cannot capture my subject sharp and clear with blur background...Kept switching between TV and AV despite having no idea about the aperture and the dont know what. argh....
Reyes's cheeks were getting very rosy...I like it.

This expression I captured it slightly late. It happened after he supposdly attempt to copycat his sister to "dance" and then kneel down on 1 knee and he ended on his bum instead.
And then he showed his temper with his signature crossed arms...
Attempting some flower taking.

Rie had no problem posing for me on the grass! Reyes still need some training to get the peace sign going....

HADA LABO SUPER HYALURONIC ACID HYDRATING LOTION

Remember I mentioned about fr3b.com,, which is now known as Thesamplestore.sg few posts back?
Tah-dah! I've received my first sample from them :

HADA LABO SUPER HYALURONIC ACID HYDRATING LOTION

Actually I have no complete idea what this lotion was about, with all the unknown wordings on the bottle (pix) as shown and sample pack. And there is so much rave about this lotion on the internet.

So okay, I tried it. After cleansing, rinse off, then I opened a sachet and opps I poured out too much. So anyway, what you basically do is to start tapping the lotion, which is clear in colour like water droplets and tap, tap tap onto your face until it is fully absorbed.

It feels sticky on first touch, and I have this thinking "How long must I take for it to dry up by tapping?" Just a few minutes of tapping and when the lotion is fully absorbed, you hardly feel like you've applied anything on your face.

The next morning, I looked into the mirror, the area around my nose seem to appear smoother and I dont have this sticky feel on my face at all. Still smooth and nice.

It's been 2 days of using and so far, I'm liking this product as it gives lots of moisture to my skin, since it's been badly abused by the hot afternoon sun daily. So, go try it too.

Another rainy and cooling day!!!

Rie's 41 months old as of today~1st Aug 2010.

She has a fiery temper like me and is short tempered like hb. Which sometimes leaves us so frustrated at times.

On days when she is in good mood, she loves to pose and ask me snap pix of her. Her new pose is to make a peace sign, put the other hand on the waist and then you've gotta bend your feet. She made me pose like that and is so hard to bend my feet to her standard when my feet are already so dumb and stiff. haha.I was woken up last night at 545am by the howling wind outside and made an effort to close the kitchen window as hb needed to wake up early, so let him sleep longer.

Sat was a badly planned day. We only manage to head out after 8pm and coincidentally met my parents at Lai Huat and rie insisted to follow them, so hb, myself and reyes made our way to City Square to shop shop. It is SOOOOO much easier coping with just reyes alone! He didnt make a din and was more than happy to hold hb on one hand and me on the other hand, just walking along.

So sunday, hb decides that we should make this day fruitful and suggested to head to Hortpark. Then I suggested to Labrador Park instead. But it's been drizzling since morning and is still drizzling as we made our way there. It ended us staying in the car, at the Labrador Park for about 45mins I think. The air was really really cool, and the kids were kept entertained on the DVD. We were hoping the drizzle would stop, but it didnt. Hence we made our way to Ikea, Plan B.

Wah kao lor, there was a LONG Q to get into the carpark! Why is ikea always so crowded??? It wasnt easy for us to cope with 2 tired and restless kids who miss their nap and with the big sister around, reyes is no longer the "I'm-a-good-boy" boy anymore. He throws tantrums when we had to leave a section, rie throws tantrum too, it was just so chaotic, I didnt dare to look at anyone in the eyes, it was just plain embarassing.

Then, a very funny incident happen. Reyes is such a great pretender sometimes. He would pretend to cry with his eyes closed and pout his mouth and create the crying tone. And so, today, he did just that and I think he was for real lah, but I just bo chap him, coz I can see his teary eyes.

And I was checking out some metal shelves mah, so I left him standing just slightly further from me and hb just behind him. He was throwing his tantrums after I dragged him away from this play station. So he stood there among the crowd, and sob big time. Not wailing, but the sobbing type, crying "woooo wooooo" like that, like a child who got lost from his parents.

And guess what! It did brought to some others notice! I overheard this mother and daughter talking just behind me.
"Aiyo, why this boy crying."
"Lost is it? Where is his mother?"
"His mother there lah."(I suppose she points to me)
"Then why is he crying?"
"I think he is scare, maybe."

Then I turned to look at reyes and saw this grandpa approaching him, asking
"Boy boy, why are you crying?"
Hahaha..so funny lor. and hb was just behind him.
"Mummy where?"
Then hb said, "his mother over there"
And the grandpa didnt hear hb, but the wife did.
So she told him and they left after patting reyes.

hahaahhaha, by then, reyes looked at me with teary eyes and aiyo...so I just had to carry him lor. Maybe I should record it down someday of how he cries, damn funny one. Not like riesia who wails and yells and scream and cry like nobody's business.

Of course after awhile, he was back to his notti self again. We left with rie very happy today, coz she bought a flower lamp to put near her babycot.

It's an early sleep night for the kids and I'm enjoying it. It's so nice having to surf late in the night and not past midnight...hb's out with for some chit-chat and I have some peace at home. Awesome.
