Surprise surprise..

Oh well, drop by mum's place on Friday night and bingo! big surprise..

bro brought his gf home! This is the first time that he brought a girl home and I'm definitely taken aback to another presence of a stranger in the house. The feeling was weird. In a way, I didnt feel too good.

We went out after that and when we came back, she was still at mum's place. When we left the place, she was still there! My guess was that, she stayed over and perhaps she has already stayed over before!!!!! Kaoz....

Hb's exceptionally happy for my bro. I dont know why, but he just kept spiking me about the so call future daughter in law, or the future sister in law or that my parents attention will now switch over to my bro instead of focusing on us liao etc. ARGH!!! He just gets me up and going on my nerves!!!

I'm so jealous. So so jealous that who knows she might just be the future owner of my mum's place. Mentioned before that mum is intending to leave the hse for bro, right?
Sigh...And perhaps that is the reason why they are even thinking of getting a car for him. I hope they have already abandon that idea!!!

So little time...

I've been slacking on updating. Not that I didnt want to, but I didnt have time and my photo editor cock up again!!! It kept prompting me to enter the pdt key. And of course, I didnt know any and the features to reduce the image to lower reso cant work anymore!!! Sigh...
So,here I am, painstakingly reducing every image one by one. I dont know any other method lah.

So anyway, here's some photos taken during a LONG LONG LONG LONG time since both of us met up. I think it was during your 21st birthday party that we met right? Wow, that means, it was 9 years back!! Darn, did I just reveal how old we were??

The girls were so lovely and not afraid of this big auntie, who was hugging them, touching them. muahahahha...They were just so cute! Here's some shots taken.. Jan and myself with the 2 lovely gals...
Me with Joen, right? She's just so pretty!!!

All of us with the kids....That's her eldest boy hiding behind. He refuse to join us...

=======================================================
We picked up bro's maid after the meet up and headed home for lunch before the kids and all of us had a long nap....so dead tired. Bro flew off with family to HK and left the maid with us for 3 days. Supposedly 4 days, but SIL had plans for the maid to clean up the whole hse day before they return, so we are suppose to send her back on Monday night instead of Tuesday night lor.
So tonight is her last night with us. Just as I was begining to feel like a tai tai...sigh....
The good thing was that we are already used to seeing, talking to her, as we met up often at mum's place when all of us head back for dinner. So it wasnt hard to get the kids to get used to her too. Reyes LOVES her to bits leh. And he kept finding her, wanting her to carry him. Sigh..I was so jealous deep down lor. And that just explains and justify my "NO-maid" rule.
With the maid around, I practically "lost" touch with reyes. Out shopping, she is the one carrying him, while I had to entertain rie. Put her in the pram and get maid to push?
That's what I tried! Rie happily sits in the stroller, hb pushed. She protested! Maid pushed, she protested and insisted that only I can push the stroller. So end up reyes has to be carried by Maid. Sigh. Hb happiest lor, he didnt have to do much, at most carry bag.
Back home, maid was very zhi dong too. Started to clean our so dirty mirror, windows when she saw hb hanging the laundry. hee hee. I cant live with the dirty windows one leh, but she was already halfway thru cleaning, so let her be. I would rather her spending time helping me to pack up the cupboards instead. I dont even dare to pack my cupboards, for fear of finding ants nest or cockroaches hiding..yucks.
Hb was so paisay to ask her iron his shirts, that when she asked if there was any ironing needed, he said no! Dumb right??? So when I woke up, I told her to iron his shirts when she is free. She did and she ironed about 2 weeks worth of shirts and hb was so happy he didnt have to wake up early to iron every morning. Just told her to continue the rest, so that at least he can take a 1 month break of ironing. haha.
Sigh..I'm starting to miss her presence. And yeah, thats before she is going back home!!! Mum said that she has thoughts to quit and head back home after her contract ends next June. Did I hear the word QUIT??? I was still hovering hopes that someday I may just change my mind and employ her IF my bro decides to let her go.
So I asked and hinted. She said my bro told her to continue to stay on and work for them. yeah, I bet her would, otherwise, who would help to look after the 3 kids while they are at work? And then I dropped the big hint. " Sir say if you are not working, you come and work for us."
Her eyes opened wide and I think she thought she heard wrongly.. hahah..She gave me a weak grin. Was that a happy or sad answer? hmmm.....She is so used to calling my bro's kids that over at my place, she kept calling reyes as mei mei(she's the youngest in my bro's family) or Jerald. hahaha...And she calls riesia as Jodi who is the eldest in the family when she fights with reyes.
Hb's very pleased with her. We brought her along to MIL's place today after a mini and hot outing at Botanic Gardens. They had renovated the waterplay area. Replaced the water hose thingy with this mini fountain. I didnt like it. All the ang mohs were placing their daughters ONTOP of the mini fountain! Kaoz man. Did it feel nice having water spraying up down there?????eeeee.
And then, there were couple of inconsiderate ang moh kids, who came along and washed their crocs at the fountain, leaving sand residue. And not even looking out if there were small kids at the fountain! Bad bad.
But it was refreshing, to be out in the open again. I certainly look fwd to going there again, but preferably with a cooler weather....updates with pic soon.

How sad..

Just this afternoon was reading the news on yahoo abt a missing 6 year old boy near my mum's place. It's has been a week.

Then woke up from nap and read the latest update.
Singapore: The body of a child has been found in a canal along Bendemeer Road.
Police say they are unable to confirm if the child is the boy who had earlier been reported missing.
Officials also said a man has been arrested.
On Tuesday, police issued an appeal for information on 6—year—old Muhammad Nor Rashidy Rahmat.
The boy who was about 1.20m tall with fair complexion and black hair, was last seen at Block 65 Kallang Bahru on 18 November 2009 at about 6pm.

How sad. This reminds me yet again to always have rie by my sight no matter where I go.

Finally received the photos. All are low reso, unedited yet...

Poor thing.

We brought reyes for his Pnemoccocal jab last Wed. It was a long break for him since his last jab when he was still a baby not knowing what's he's in for.

Sigh..this time round, I think the relief doctor also abit blur. She forgot to change the needle to the thinner, shorter version and I only noticed it after the jab was done and saw the needle on the desk. And well well, reyes' thigh had this red round dot after that lor.

If she had used the other needle, you wont even see any dot at all! But I was okay abt it, as it was only a 0.5ml jab and it was done in split seconds! And it was very expensive at $165 man. He's due for the 2nd dose in 2 mths time.

He's now due for his rounds of jabs monthly. But the clinic's closed next mth due to Xmas and in Feb, due to CNY. So he gets to go for jabs alternate mths.

Not a good sign in my opinion. Because the older he is when he goes for jab, the more he knows what's he's in for and will resists and start to struggle with me. Oh well...

Now abt rie. I just need to blog abt this to remind myself to be more caution. I was so close to losing rie. Till now, the guilt is still there. Sigh. I regret, and I know I should not have trusted her.

We were out for a swim at Delta swimming pool and after the swim, I had to go and change. So hb carried reyes and he instructed me to bring rie in. She was already dressed up. And because the changing cubicle was wet and small, I instructed her to sit just next to the cubicle, look after the plastic bag and wait for me. I took less than 2 mins to change and when I came out, there was no sight of her! I paniced, I looked around thinking she might have went to the other cubicles, but no riesia!

This lady looked at me, and she could tell I was worried. I rushed outside to see if rie was with hb, but no rie! I didnt dare to tell hb and went back in, shouting for her. I approached the lady and asked if she saw a little girl sitting there. She said she did, but then said she went out.

I went out, by this time, hb saw me and I told him, rie's lost! Both panic and I really got very very very scared and my heart was pumping so fast. The area is so huge and it's my first time there and I'm not familar with it.

I was hoping she will be at the shop outlet, but then I was also afraid she might have wandered into the pool or even went out! BUt I was glad within 5mins, I spotted rie from afar. The bench where we left our things and changed her earlier on. It was AT LEAST a great distance away from the toilet! I think she walked there thinking her father would be there. BUt since he wasnt there, she walked back.

I was SOOO thankful I found her. I was so close to tears, but yet I raised my voice at her to cover my fear. I told myself I will not do that anymore. No more next time.

When we were out shopping last time, I would normally leave rie within my sight while I look at my things. Of course, hb was nearby and I often relied on him to keep an eye on her. But then he also presume I should keep an eye on her. So, sometimes, we do lose sight of her, but she would still always be within our parameters. But the last incident really scared me out of my wits.

My dad is always reminding us to hold her hands everywhere we go. Never lose sight of her. I often listen one ear in, one ear out. But now I know and I understand how important it is and why my dad is always reminding us.

Till today, I still have that fear within, that guilt. It will always be there.

Terrible backache, terrible shoulder ache

Few weeks back, I woke up with terrible shoulder ache that was SOOO painful and it hurts even when I swallowed my saliva, tilt my head left/right/up/down. My only thoughts were that the last night marking contributed to it.

Thank god, the pain went away after 3 days of continuous applying of the good old yoko yoko.

But then, few days back, terrible backaches came. It was so bad that I cannot even bend forward without feeling the pain, cannot squat fast, cannot get up fast from squatting position, cannot carry the kids!

It lasted till today and while shopping at Robinsons, I had to carry rie & reyes when they just cannot keep still. And then, the terrible shoulder aches came back!!! And the symptoms are the same as before..So pain!!!!!! boo hoo.

Lazy...tired...

Been trying to find time to download some photos...From hb's handphone.

Taken at Park Royal @ City Hall on mum's birthday. It's been a LONG time since my parents jio me out for buffet liao. It was a disaster at the last buffet dinner. Last recall, it was at the Holiday Inn Parkview where hb lost his temper on rie..tsk tsk..I guess that was the last straw to bring the kids out makan with my parents.

And here's some pix after a tiring and rush day after the photoshoot.

At some Chinese restaurant near our place. Father & Son.

Reyes blinking his eyes. He will do these IF :

1. You ask him "how do you make your eyes blink?"

2. When he is trying to be cheeky with you, or showing that he is angry with you and yet still can grin.
Mother & Daughter...

I hardly can get a nice photoshoot with Rie. Doesnt help that hb's photo taking skills so "lan". So I have to self take lor.

Open: 10.30am to 7pm, Mondays to Saturdays, closed on SundaysRating: ****

This shop is opened by hb's uncle's wife. The banana pie is very delicious. It contains sinful of coconut and banana together. Best to eat it warm. I think 1 pie which has 10 pieces costs $16. Not sure if the price has increased.

They are selling chocolate tarts too, mini bite size and the chocolate just oozes into your mouth...Yummy, but not cheap. $0.70 per tart. Used to be $0.50 only...

Mad Rush..

We had a mad rush for our mini photoshoot last Sat.
It was meant to be a 30mins shot and I had wanted to upgrade to an hour, coz 30mins is simply too rush for me. But alas, we were back to square one for a 30mins, as the photographer had to rush off to another place urgently.

And so, we left the hse at 430pm, wrong move to take the roads to the place instead of the expressway. Sigh...and we cant find the place and got lost as well! End up was really late for 25mins man. When we arrived the place, the carpark was full! Argh. And so we just heong and parked along the roadside and made a mad rush up.

It was rush rush and had to keep getting the kids attention to look at the camera. Rie was most co-operative infront of the camera! Reyes? He's the huge problem. Towards the end, it was difficult to even get a sibling shot and a family shot. Sigh..I sure hope it will turn out nice. What a day man.

It's time to get GPRS for us.

Want to share this site with all of you who have kids. Ever wanting to bring them to the movies but afraid of being Sshhhh off by others?

Something funny but...

It's funny, but then I dont know to laugh or to cry.

Hb spotted this new blueblack last night. I kept my mouth shut when he started to question me what happen. Hahahah..

I just merely said it happened 2 days back liao lor.
Well well, only rie and my mum knew what happened.

Reyes was happily disturbing Junior, the bunny in his cage. Okay fine, so I went to wash up the bottles and was about to put the bottles into the steriliser when I heard a thud and reyes cried...Walked to the kitchen, thinking probably Junior had overturn his veg bowl...only to discover............

Reyes had fallen INTO the cage! And I meant the whole body side the cage. ahahahahah. If only I had a camera on hand, I would have taken that shot. BUt then, aiyah, I cannot laugh lor, so hurriedly carried him out of the cage, with fur all over his face, hands and legs. hahahaha..Poor Junior was hiding in 1 corner, bet he must be terrified to see a giant falling into his house. tsk tsk.

Not long, a bump appeared on his forehead lor. So that's how he got it. tsk tsk...

It's been close to 2.5 weeks since the kids had flu and they are still NOT recovering!!!! Sigh.

Regrets...

Well, I'm starting to regret installing the Alumix wardrobe...why?

A picture would have said it all.

The kids are treating it as their latest playground! Hiding inside!
It's so dangerous, countless times their tiny fingers were slammed by the doors.
Sigh..regrets regrets.

The second time.

I lost my cool yesterday again. Rie started to doodle on the little tikes tables with markers and I hit her with the balloon stick. 2 red angry lines.

Darn. Felt so upset. Now I understand how my parents felt when they caned me last time. Sigh.

What a weekend...

Now that the kids are older, they are really not easy for me & hb to control them in public. Sigh..

This afternoon, I dragged the family to City Square at Farrer Park. Had wanted to book the open bus top night light up cruise at Metro, but it's already fully redeemed. How disappointed.

So we ended up shopping around. Well....rie nearly ruined our plan.
#1. She wanted to pee, so I brought her to the ladies.
Came back and I continued to shop. Scarly she told me her jeans is wet! Ah..she wet herself! and it was just within 15mins!

Darn. Changed to new panty and stripped reyes off his jeans and let rie wore them.

#2. She peed again within 2omins! How frustrating! Now she has totally nothing to wear, except diapers! So she just wore a top and diapers and reyes as well.Sigh...So ma lu lor, faster strapped her to the stroller and told hb to head home.

BUt instead, he wanted to go makan! I know he must be hungry, coz despite me trying to head back home, he kept giving excuses. So we we ended up at the food court for makan. I have to be sitted in between R & R. Feeding each 1 mouth after the other. Not easy, when both kids kept imitating the other's action!

First, the bowls. Reyes started knocking the bowls on the table and rie wanted to do that too.
Then reyes started yelling and stood on the high chair and rie followed suit! Kaoz man, so frustrated and sooooo paisay. Heng the foodcourt not crowded.

I see other kids, guai guai sit down eat, why my kids not like them. Is it my fault in not instilling discipline during mealtimes? Sigh, I guess so. But it's all too late.

Anyway, rushed through our meals as aways and headed to NTUC.

Thought can relax abit liao, since rie is happy sitting in the trolley. Then reyes wanted to join in too, and rie refuse to take the backseat, so bo bian, reyes was dumped behind. And he refused to sit down.

He is really getting out of hands these days leh. I hold his arms, he pushed them away, didnt want me to hold him. So I had to keep reminding him to hold on tight, pretending that he's on a Choo choo train.
Then, aiyah, he poo-ed lor.So we had to quickly change him behind the Philips counter.muahahahh..Anymore poos and he will have to go diaperless liao, coz I've ran out!

Left for a quick carwash before we headed home to call it a day. The kids are tired and so am I! But I'm still here at 318am in the morning..going to head to bed soon...

Some late photos...from hb's handphone.
Taken on reyes's birthday. IT's rare to have all the cousins together.

It's not easy to self take a nice shot with the kids not moving. and my hands not shaking.Haha, I dont know why, whenver we do the "smile, cheese. Chi-Cha" reyes will lift up his hands to his ears! He seems to take after his sister, love taking photographs. And here's the cheeky boy at the playground. He's afraid of the sand, same as the fussy sister.

We were at mum's place on Sat and I managed to sneak out 45mins with hb and reyes. Was glad rie didnt cry, but at the moment when I shut the gate and saw rie standing at the living room looking at us, I felt so guilty and upset that I dont intend to bring her along. Somehow, it's been a LONG LONG time since I went rie-less. So it really feels weird.

But it was nice, having myself all to reyes. Some private moment and I carried him all the way on our stroll to the mall. I think he misses me carrying him too. As hb does the carrying most of the time when he was young and I attended to Rie.

So anyway, reyes is crazy over balloons now. Over at Macs, he insisted on getting the balloon he saw! His eyes are really sharp! And he kept pestering and pestering hb until the counter auntie gave him one. hahaha.

Back home, he is really a climber man! I dont know where he learnt from, but he actually climbed up this rocking giraffe that Cindy bought for rie's 1st yr bday. Stood both legs up and then stepped onto the handle and climbed up the tv console! He wanted to sit on the tv console to watch the lobster in the tank!

Then on Sat, hb told me that he climbed up the sofa, happily cruised to the side, crossed over to the little tikes tables and stood on it. Then he gleamed. Sense of victory. Tsktsk.

That explains why he has so many ba lu gu on his head lor. I seriously dont recall rie being that naughty when she was a year old leh. Oh man.

And he can complain too! ahahahah, he smacks his own palm or thigh to tell me that hb had smacked him blah blah.

I tell myself, cherish this boy as much as I can now. When he grows up, he will belong to his gf, his wife, his kids liao. I'm hoping he will call me when he needs my attention to do something. For now, he will call out "mama" when he cries for me only. Other than that, he doesnt call me.And now he has just learnt how to call papa. Hb is over joyed. muahahhaha..And yes, he knows how to call jie jie too.

Alrighty, gotta go to bed. yawn.

So close to throwing in the towel

Been so frustrated with the kids these days, especially now that reyes is older, can shout, can yell, can protest and even pak kar with his sister to create havoc in the house.

2 days back, while I was at work, I came home with a shock. Hubby said calmly : You dont get angry ah.

I was like what? Then I got a horror. Yet to have time to take a photoshoot of the disaster.
Rie had happily used markers to draw on our sofa. It was horrible! I just lost my cool.

I cant believe that hb can remain so calm and still tell me not to scold her, or she will lose her creativity.

But come on lor, do it on paper etc mah! I had even a mahjong paper pasted up on the mirror for the kids to doodle. I bet if I am home, rie will not even dare to draw anywhere else except paper.

And then yesterday, honest rie pointed to me 2 spots on reyes baby cot where she used black markers to doodle again. Sigh. So fed up.

My walls are already done up with crayons and colour pencils when she was young. And now....I cant imagine when reyes starts doodling.

2 more mths to go before I have some peaceful quiet time home alone with reyes only for 3+hrs. That is when rie goes to nursery.

I'm feeling tired once again. And now, the kids are up just over 1 hr + naptime only. Havoc AGAIN!!!! Someone pls provide me a SOS number

....

I've been rattling that reyes has been waking up me nightly and wailing.
I think I've found out the reason. He's falling sick.

Friday-Sat night was the worst for me. As I'm off on Sat, we were planning to head out somewhere early in the morning, say to Telok Blangah Park or Macritchie reservoir, you know, a morning walk. BUt the night before, it was pouring heavily. I thought to myself, the floors and grasses will be wet in the morning...

Crawled to bed at 2am. Yawn. Was trying to sleep, but reyes started his wailing from 230am all the way till wee morning. He was having a very very bad blocked nose and couldnt breathe properly in the air conditioned room. Sigh...Refused to drink milk, or water, coz he just couldnt breathe.

So there goes our Sat family outing. We headed to United Sq to see Dr Ong. Then we had a quick breakfast at this Hong Kong Cafe next door. The french toast was so delicious..I am still drooling about it man. It comes like a huge cube with honey and butter. yummy...

The kids were very tired by then, both woke up at 7am. Poor rie lor, been disturbed by reyes nearly every night too. So I was trying to control my temper as much as I can and to finish up and head back home...

Surprise...

Well, did I mention about the missing lobster from our tank?

Hubby finally found where it was on Sunday, nearly 1 week after it went missing.
It was found in our second bedroom under the playpen...alas, it was dead.

But incredibly, it could crawl really far! And silly me was still searching around the tv console for it. (we had placed the tank on our tv console)

And the distance from the tv console in our living rm to the bedroom is quite far for a small creature.

So that solved mystery 1.

This morning, I woke up and took a peek at the tank. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, to see this white lobster, that was lying on its side. DEAD?? Oh gosh! I turned the tank to take a closer look and spotted another lobster hidding behind. TWO?

Ah...the surviving lobster has just moult and changed to a new shell! It certainly looks bigger now than before, but is still so timid...Photos are in my handphone and I dont know how to upload to my PC.sigh..
