A new entertainment...
Not wanting to miss out the good offer this time, we woke up at 8am and headed out at 845am. It's very rare for us to head out that early in the morning. Thankfully, the sky was cloudy, so we were spared the hot sun. And we were also lucky to grab a lot fast. When we arrived, the Q just started to move in.
I think hb was more anxious to grab hold of the dvd player than the kids. He was walking so fast ahead with rie and then shouted so loudly for me to hurry up when he saw the good deal at $99 only. There were 3 models this time, $99, $139 and $169.
And he decided to get 2, so that both of them will not fight. And actually his deep motive is....he would be able to watch his television programme now, since the kids will be using the DVD players. Ever since rie's first DVD player RIP, the telly is often switched on to the kids' choice. So sometimes we would be missing out our favourite show. So kids are happy with their new gift and so is hb too.
Here's a pix of both of them in the bedroom watching thier movies.===============================================================
On Sat evening, we had an invitation by the RC people. They had organized a floor party meant for our block only. Their aim : For us to mingle & get to know our neighbours. The response was quite poor. We went nonetheless with our neighbour and grabbed the opportunity to feedback to our MP, Mr Heng.
My top wish is for a sheltered walkway to the overhead bridge. A case that I"ve mentioned in my blog previously. Emails ding dong here and there, then no more news. And it seems Mr Heng did receive my email about it, coz he said that they received an email about having the sheltered walkway and to smoothen out the uneven pathway. And they had already sent out to the various agencies for their reply. So, it's still KIV lor.
Then, I told him about the problem about hanging bamboos outside our window ledge. Because there are no holes to secure the bamboos, our bamboos would fly off when there is strong wind. Mr Heng took note of that and I think we may just see some solution pretty soon.
He has a very clear complexion up close leh. And very fair too. Hb said he used to be on crime watch years back? I didnt even know that. hoo hoo...
Then, this RC guy came up and chat with hb. For a moment, hb thought he was just gonna try to sell insurance! Haha, then the guy was merely asking hb if he has given any thoughts on which primary sch he would be sending rie to! Of course, blur hb would never have even thought about it, so he directed the qn to me.
I got to learn that he actually joined RC in hoping to get a recommendation letter to get into Hong Wen. But then you have to be an active member for at least 1 year and he's only 4 months. As such, they opted for St. Margarets' which he got in via Phase 2 for being an Anglician church member. It was kind of a sure get in thing.
If my daughter is able to study at St.Margarets, I would be very happy liao. Oh well, shant think too much about it first.

And despite running a fever, he could still dance and laugh and play. But he knocked out the minute we reached home, dead tired. I hope he will sleep through tonight.
