Wonderful Friday

Just yesterday, we had our studio photoshoot. I was praying hard that it would be a sunny Friday for us, but in the wee morning,5:36am to be exact, I heard thunder and strong winds howling against our window panel. Soon after, you can hear raindrops...

Hubby got up to close the kitchen window and I was awoken by the thunder as well. A great sense of disppointment emerged within. What we can do it to pray the rain would stop when we head down to our studio.

Unfortunately, it was still drizzling as we made our way to Tras Street. I had mixed feelings and nearly wanted to postpone my photoshoot as the grounds would be wet when we take our outdoor shoots...So I left the decision to hubby and he said to go ahead. Who knows, Mr Sun would be out in the afternoon by the time we finished our indoor shoot.

Just when we were dressing up to start our photoshoot, wah liao, hubby discovered that he had forgot to pack and bring his white wing-tip collar shirt! *Fury*.....and so, I told him to rush back home while we waited for him to return.

Time past very fast and before I was starting to enjoy myself, we had to head out for our outdoor shoot. Mr Sun was out bright and sunny. I was so happy. We headed to Club Street, Singapore Art Museum and Botanic Garden. We spent about 20 mins for each location except for Botanic Gardens where we spent nearly an hour as we had to walk around.

At the end of the day, I was reflecting the shots and poses we took. It then dawn upon that I had wanted very natural, happy going type of shots, but looks like ours were quite posey leh..how how how. I really hope it will turn out nice and not so chee-na man. And wah liao, dont think any shot was taken for a backview pose leh!ARGH!!!!

Our designer was so sweet. He took a day leave to head down the nursery to personally pick my blue flowers for me.....He got my my favourite hydrangeas and 2 bouquets!
We had initally wanted to bring along our little Junior for photoshoot, but then who's gonna help us look after him when we are out? Besides, we had to carry so many things to and fro, it was just tiring for us....

Yesterday, I took half day off and went to Shaw Towers for my manicure/pedicure. I swear this is my last time there. The young lady who helped me remove my dead skins at my heels was so sweet and nice and very reassuring. But not the lady boss man. She wasn't gentle and when removing my cuticles, she accidentally trim off wee bit much and caused my cuticles area to bleed. 2 fingers to be exact. She didnt apologize, neither did she tell me about it, until I felt a stinging feeling when she applied the alcohol on them. hmpf. Then, she went on to do the white strip for my toes. I hate the way she made the white strips so thick and fat! Look at it.Once done, I sat there and waited for it to dry. Then she came by later, OFF the dryer first before telling me, if you are in a hurry, you can go off first, is alright. Pissed, I made my way out and told myself never to step in there again.
On Tuesday, we decided to have Udon for dinner. It was nice. We added in 3 packet and realised later that it was too much for us both to finish up...kekekke

Busy busy weekend

Oh boy was the last weekend busy for us yet again. Had our colleagues drop by to our new place for dinner. Party for the day was Sakae Sushi with Satay. It was delicious, but then Sakae Sushi had limited dishes to choose for their delivery services. I miss my Chawamushi....

Then on Sat, we attended hubby's good friend's youngest sister wedding. It was a very simple wedding and trust me, it was. We were escorted to our table and before we had even warmed our seats, we had to change table due to the overwhelming guests that turned up unexpectedly. (Told myself RSVP is a MUST)

We waited for nearly 20 mins before a reversed table was set up for us. After a really long wait, we were shown their childhood slides, using the laptop. Everything was fine until, the slides stopped abruptly at the proposal slide! So there was a wait for about 5 mins while the guy tried to savage the slides. At last, the slides worked and the proposal slides lasted only a mere 7 secs.

The first march in finally started and dinner served for all hungry guests. Food was nice until the 6th dish where we had deep fried prawns with crispy vegs. One of our friend discovered a fried caterpillar hidden within the vegetables~yucks! And when hubby told the lady captain, she picked up the caterpillar, examined it and then smashed it and claimed that it was the vegetable stem! Hubby was fuming. If it was their fault, then the lady captain should apologize. It was very clear that she was denying the whole fact and by smashing up the evidence, there was nothing more for us to say. To think I had even took few mouth of the crispy vegs and it was my first time eating vegs and this happened. Yucks.

I left feeling hungry at 1045pm.....

Last night, we decided to cook our dinner. We had yong tao hu soup, leftover satays and sushi, fried egg with minced meat, scallops and 1 honey baked ham.

I did not like the egg with minced meat, the pork smell was too much for me to take it.

The soup was bland, but tasted okay lah, after I added in some light soya sauce... It was a good attempt to cook, but definitely more rooms for improvement....
Hubby's gonna cook fish soup with prawns for me tonight...

This friday's is our studio photoshoot. Am getting anxious. I've yet to get my evening gowns shoes and earrings! Darn. Made a wasted trip down to Allure Charix on Sat. They had such limited range of shoes! Gonna collect our gowns on Wed and send them down to our studio. This leaves us only today, tomorrow and Thursday to get my shoe, earrings and hubby's shirt! stressed.....

Thursday

Last night I headed back home to pick up my Kua shoes that mum has got her business partner to purchase from Philippines. It is in a very nice dark red colour with the beadings. Think it's gonna match well with my kua.

On Wednesday, hubby had a pleasant surprise for me. He had actually prepared dinner. Even though it was just a simple meal consisting of egg, hotdogs, scallops, meat with porridge, I am contented.

Alas, he made the whole floor so oily as he did not cover the frying pan! Grrrr......

A Rainy Day

Yesterday in the afternoon, my Charles & Keith sandal gave way. *darn* Had to secure the strip with a huge staple to last me till I meet up with hubby at City Hall to buy another sandal...

I had to walk REAl slow, cannot run after bus or MRT. Stepped into the Charles & Keith at Citylink and just bought 1 pair for the time being. Alas, they dont have my old design in their shop. I've been wearing this design since 2year back and bought 2 pairs at a go each time the remaining 2 are nearly worn out...

We met up with a videographer in the evening. Was expecting a Chinese guy since his surname is Chinese. Turn out he is a hindu, and had adopted the Chinese name as a shortform for his long name! This is indeed tricky, because not many Chinese may want to meet up should they know the videographer is a hindu. Good move.

His work is okay, and can satisfy what I want. But then, he's giving me a week to think over it. A week. I've been dragging on deciding which videographer to be engaging since early this year..whahahah...We feel comfortable with him, but then, although he says he understands Hokkein and Mandarin, I'm unsure if he really understands or he claims to understand.

to be continued...

Dreadful Monday Blues

This morning, as soon as I start my PC, aiyo, so many issues, making me so mad at work. Just cannot understand why do some team members just like to tai-chi their work and simply say "I dont know how to do" and that's it?? Argh! Dont they know learning is part of their process? *blood boiling*

The weekend was wonderful, but as usual tiring. Had my trial makeup and 3rd fitting of gowns on Friday. The evening gown is nearly done up except for the back. Recommended me to go get a girdle, but then where to find low back girdle? My evening gown is quite low at the back??? And I've yet to get glitter shoes for my evening gown too! Hubby looks very smart in his suit and he is very satisfied.

On Sat, we met up with our studio photographer to discuss which outdoor location do we want to have our photos done. Was very disappointed when he mentioned only 2 outdoor location. At the point when we signed up with them, was told it's unlimited location provided there is sufficient time. I will try to squeeze in 3 locations, dont care. We are targetting botanic garden, Arts Museum and one more location....Hubby said No to Sentosa, No to Labrador Park. He had wanted fullerton for night scene, but I said No. Did consider heading to Orchard for night scenes since now they have the Christmas lightings done up. Nimlight suggested a nice place for me! Little Bali. Have drop them an email and shall see if they allow us to do our shots there!

On Sun, I had my hair done. Snipped off my locks, gave them a mahogany colour and voila. Shall update a photo when I have time. I miss my long locks, but then.....it'l grow.

TGIF

Oh boy, this is the day that all of us are waiting for, Friday!

Had a very very sinful dinner yesterday at Raffles Town Club with mummy and daddy to celebrate her birthday. It wasnt crowded and was drizzling when we headed down. The buffet spread was Thai and Vietnam dishes. I did not like the dishes.

There was a trio band that played really nice songs and it made the whole atmosphere really soothing and cosy, just like the x'mas season...It makes me think of wanting to engage a band on my wedding day too!

This afternoon am going for my final trial makeup and fitting of the gowns. Mixed feelings. Really dont know how it will turn out to be....Hubby yet to get his pink shirt, I've yet to get any accessories, my evening gown shoes, my kua shoes. Terrible me.

Gonna meet our studio photographer tomorrow to discuss on the venues of our photoshoot...which is coming up on 25th Nov, in 2 weeks time.
Time to make appointment for my hairdresser and manicurist!

Mummy's birthday

10th of Nov: Today is mummy's birthday and we are heading home tonight, although we arent sure if there's dinner or not.

Am gonna arrange a post-celebration birthday dinner for mum tomorrow, since Bro can only make it tomorrow night....

Yesterday was my 5th day at new place. At least I am getting much better, no more teary eyes when I go to bed. But am still trying to cope with the emptiness with just hubby and myself.
Dinner was just plain porridge with peanuts and salted fish.

Kept myself busy cleaning up bunnies' cage and packing up my stuffs. Bunny is such a darling now. She has actually made herself real comfortable at home, despite being a new environment. I am so jealous! It seems that she recognizes hubby only and FOLLOWS him practically everywhere he goes! Except the toilet. When he steps in, she would jam break and wait for him at the toilet door step. Cute har.

Well, that's because hubby is always giving her treats and food, so she thinks by pestering him up and down, he would give in to her! wahahah. Smart girl. I will upload her photo sometime soon.

There's no internet up yet at my place, neither have we shifted our computer yet. I hardly have time to surf net when I am home too. By the time we reach home, cook dinner, watch TV till 8pm, then it's time for me to start packing my stuffs and by then, it's 10pm, bedtime.

June just called me up, checking on my preparation, if I've decided on the cards, to get ready my food tasting menu. As for my wedding theme, there's new upcoming themes that should be launched in Feb, so hopefully by then, I can get to see new themes. *yippy*

.....

So many things happened during the weekend that just passed.

We finally shifted to our new place on Sat. Hubby got 2 of his buddies to help us shift and boy did we shift alot of things. Unfortunately, a misharp happened to my dad and he got his pinky hurt very badly with blood flowing non-stop. Hence, I had to rush him to the nearby clinic for bandage. He was in great pain as the Dr applied Iodine on his split flesh. You bet it was damn painful. Dad had to receive 2 jabs and was not allowed to get his bandage wet. Was required to redress this Thursday which is mummy's birthday as well.

So back to shifting house. I never look forward to shifting to my new place since renovation was completed. Somehow I miss my old bed, my room, miss the great view, miss the spacious living space and most importantly, I miss my parents' presence.

For the first night sleeping on our bed, I started to ponder and think. If I were late for work, mum wont be around to come knocking on my door asking : "Do you have work today"; Mum wont be around to prepare breakfast for me when I am rushing; I wont be seeing any hot Lipton tea ready for me to drink prepared by mum when I come home; I wont have delicious hot meals ready for me when I am hungry; I wont have freshly pressed ironed clothes for me hanging in my bedroom.... I really miss mum's presence alot and I broke down in bed. For all the things that she does for me, never have she ever complain a wee bit. I definitely miss alot of things about her, like waking up in the morning to see her watching her EPL in the wee morning, or seeing her sleeping on the coach in the living room, having to listen to the sound of her bedroom slippers walking along the floor.

Hubby told me that when he went back to pick up some other stuffs, mum asked if we are no longer coming home to sleep. We can sense that she does not want us to shift out so fast. And when we went back to pick up my clothes on Sunday night, mum asked us to stay on weekdays and weekends at new place. I wish to as well, but someone gotta feed my bunnies for their breakfast.

When I came home on Sunday night, it was so quiet. Mum said Dad was very bored. The whole house feel so empty withonly Mum, Dad and Bro who is always hiding in his room. Now that hubby and myself have shifted, I think you can even hear the mosquitos buzz around in my house. Hubby said that mum told him dad was having thoughts to shift house. To a smaller house. My heart cracked. I love my old house so much that I expected them to stay there till their old age, so that I can always go back! I chose to live nearby my old place so that as and when I can, I can always walk home. And now they want to shift??? I really hope it's isnt true at all!

Hubby calls his mum everyday to chat with her. He told me I ought to. I would love to, but I dont have the habit to chat with my parents since young. Although I feel distance from them and I love them alot, I cannot seem to turn my love into action. I know the day will come when I regret that I did not cherish my parents when they are alive. Perhaps I need time.

My 2nd night was much better. I went to sleep but wasn't a soundly sleep. I am so tired even till now. Morning was a nightmare, halfway through my shower, there was no more hot water. Argh! I had to feed my bunnies, prepare my breakfast, hurry here and there and rush off to catch my bus.

Tonight, gonna head home to pick up my clothes.

Thank God It's Friday!

I did not sleep well last night. Woke up to the sound of heavy downpour and as I was plain lazy, I nudge hubby up to close the kitchen window. *poor hubby, always bullied by me*

Then woke up again when he woke up to get ready to go to work. Haiz....I'm such a light sleeper..

I drove to work today, real slow, partly due to the heavy downpour still going on and also the traffic was quite heavy. I thought today is a Friday, bet many would be taking leave to take advantage of the long weekend? Then why are there still so many cars on the road har har???

Think my parking skills sucks big time man. Rusty. While parking, met my boss at the carpark. Chic car, though I did not dare to look at her. whahaha..She must be thinking "Park a car, take so long" Nah, dont think she is like that...kekekeke

Last night, little Junior made hubby SO hopping mad with him. Hubby was at home, and allowed Junior to run about our house. Little did he know that Junior had created his latest teeth mark creation on our house telephone line! And plus had patches of pee stain marked all over the house with his feet. It was only in the evening when I got home and saw the creation.

So poor hubby was upset and mad at him at the same time. He stood infront of Junior's cage and started rantling off "Look at me, har. Why are you so naughty? Look at what you have done"

"Come on, it's not as if it's his fault? He dont even understand what you are saying"

So early this morning, hubby called up Singtel to drop by and change the telephone line before my parents return tomorrow night. He's gonna take urgent half day leave. (how envy)

Hari Raya Puasa

Oh boy, I did not wanted to get up from my cosy bed this morning at all! The weather was so nice and cuddling under my comforter was so warm and nice....furthermore, I had the whole queen size bed to myself! *tsk tsk*

That's because last night when I went to bed, hubby came in and was so distrubing. Tossing and turning, it just reminded me of the simmon advertisement whereby the wife took a frying pan and hit her husband. Wahahahha...To show that simmons "Do not disturb" mattresses is a good investment. I sure can't wait to sleep on our simmons king size mattress.

So back to hubby, and so I said I wanted to sleep and asked him to stop disturbing me. And I had merely suggested him going over to my parents' room to sleep and he really took the advice and went over. Once my bedroom door was closed, I simply cannot recall what happened thereafter as I was on the way to slumberland...

This morning when I dragged myself to work, I pop by to take a look at hubby darling, who was fast asleep with the fan on??? I did not expect him to sleep with the fan on, instead of having the airconditioner on...

So after dilly-dally, I went off to work as hubby sent me off to take a cab...and poor him gotta stay at home and be a househusband, washing clothes, hanging them up, ironing, and accompanying my bunnies. *wink*

What an awful Wed

I swear I did hear my handphone alarm going off and telling myself, just another 2 mins.

But who knows when I woke up it was already 840am! I'm late! Dude.

Sms hubby telling him I woke up late and wonder if I should turn up for work. Should I drive or should I not? The carpark charges is so expensive at $2 per hour and I wonder if it would jam as well.

So eventually took the cab to work and my god, there's hardly any jam. I suppose many employees are taking off today to take advantage of the super long weekend. How envy. I would too, if it's not because of the month end close...Then I should have drove lah. Aiyah. The cab fare came up to $15, if compared to parking 8 hours at $2 = $16, it's quite about the same right? argh.

So I've decided to drive this Friday!

First November

Today is Deepavali Day and it is a public holiday, but make a guess where am I....

Yes, I'm back at work, dude. Due to the month-end close I've gotta come back to work, and that includes this upcoming Thursday Hari Raya Puasa as well. *sigh*

If it's not because of the 1 day in lieu given to us for coming back to work, I wouldnt want to come back either. I've gotta save aside my leaves for the upcoming fitting of gowns, wedding, honeymoon and rest days...

Last night had went down to Silhouette to take a 2nd look at my gowns. It's alright lor. I dont know if I feel happy or disappointed either. But it seems like the halter portion doesnt appeal to me at all. And looking at my flabby arms, cham lor.

Somehow part of me just want to get over with it. Not sure why either. Perhaps it was a wrong choice to make a halter gown? Perhaps I should have chose a bustier instead? I dont know. Or perhaps it's just me??? If I lost more weight, perhaps it may look better? argh! stupid stupid.

And I've yet to get my evening gown shoes!!! Designer kept on recommending Allure Charix and I want to go and see. He mentioned a purple shoe with a big flower at Takashimaya. I need to go and see, but hubby is grumbling. I hate it. Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Hubby's suit is all ready and he look so suave in it. He was posing here, posing there, aiyo, even the designer was saying perhaps he might end up having more photos than I do! and alas, they were fussing over my gowns that hubby changed out of his suit before I could take some photos for him. Till then the 3rd fitting lor, no choice....

The little ticker makes me very stressed....Today is 3 months 18 days to our wedding!!!!
Let's see my checklists :
*Actual Day Photographer : Done
*Actual Day Videographer : Not Done
*Wedding Invites : Not Done
*Gueslist : Not completed
*Evening Gown Shoes : Not found yet!!!!
*Food Tasting : Date not set yet
*Bridal Car : Dude, all the rental companies asked me to call them up 1 month before only!!!!
*Jie-Meis & Brothers Attire : Not decided yet
*Honeymoon : Argh, dont even know when!
*Facial : Been procastinating, dont even know when I will go...

Dad & Mum flew off today to the Philippines to meet their business clients. Seems like they've been travelling alot this year. Just in Sept, they flew to Vietnam, then Oct to KL and now to Philippines. I'm glad that they are taking time off to travel and also enjoy themselves. This just shows that they are at ease that their own kids know how to take care of themselves when daddy & mummy arent around.

And also when they are away, I get to use their car..kekekekekeke....
