5 more days to go......

Today had a pleasant surprise from daddy. He bought me lunch from TPY. I guess I can be considered as a daddy's girl. He cares alot for me, but he doesnt say it out, but through his actions, I know he dotes on me alot...aww....

So fast it's the last day of Feb liao and my bb's gonna be a March bb..so happy. She will share the same birthday month as papa...With this, I can tell papa that I want a Sept bb to be the same birthday month as me! hee hee...

I'm making full use of my time the past 3 days. Sunday, managed to get my mattress from TPY at $38 after bargaining. Had wanted to pay only $35, but the uncle say cannot lor. Hmpf. Monday, went to find my pyjamas. Done. Then yesterday, went down to town to meet hubby to spend the $10 Robinson Voucher that is expiring on 9th March. Ended up with a Nuk Tong, 3 months old teats and tollyjoy's wipes. Robinson has renovated their 6th level with all the baby's stuffs and toys. I like the concept, very refreshing and cosy feel. Then hubby went to G2000 to grab some shirts. They are so cheap, going at just $19 each only...He was so happy to spend $57 on 3 shirts as compared to just 1 shirt at $99 from Robinsons. But then, aiyah, I forget to ask him grab another blue one so today I insisted that he go during lunch time to buy the blue shirt. And I was so worried that it would be taken up by someone else. Heng still have stock. Phew. So next on his shopping list is to get a pair of shoe and a belt. He was so excited and asked me to wash his shirt immediately, dry it and iron it so that he can wear to work today. These are 2 of hubby's shirt that he have chosen...Hubby complained that I havent been preparing breakfast for him for the past few days. Opps, so he has noticed my laziness. So this morning, I woke up to make ham and cheese bread for him lor. I was also hungry lah, that's why I wake up so early to eat before going back to bed again. Muahahaha.

As for me, how am I doing? I must say I still got abit of stamina to go out and walk about lah. Although har, sitting in the bus is no fun, unless I get seats which are spacious. Arbo, I have to squeeze myself and my tummy gets really tight in the sitting position and I dont feel comfortable. Today I observe my feet and realise they have swell much more leh. So ugly! When I press on it, it leaves this yellow mark and disappear slowly. Now they look just like elephant's feet. haha. Tummy is so much bigger than the past few months. I'm so surprised that yesterday hubby asked me if I wanna snap a picture. Normally I would pester him at the mark of each month of my pregnancy to snap a picture for memory sake. But this time round, he's asking me to take photos. Grin..told him tonight. hee hee
==============================
This morning hubby told me he dreamt that he divorce me leh. So sad. He said he was very angry with me despite telling me many times to clean up the house, pack neatly etc and yet I dont listen. End up he called his parents and my parents down at 8pm to our house and settle things out. Haiz...so scary right.

I'm 39 weeks...1 more day to March

One of the task that parents to be have to do is to crack their head for their child's name. And this is one big task that we are facing. Hubby keep insisting to have a word that means intelligence in bb's name. I'l just let him be then. I really really am so tired to keep arguing with him.

Today is the 2nd last day of Feb and 1 more day before it's March. Keeping finger crossed that my water bag will not burst till March arrives....

7 more days to go, 2 more days to March

Oh boy, today is a brand new week again and is Monday. I cant imagine next Monday is my EDD and if I should deliver on my EDD, is another 7 more days to go only! Excited, scared and nervous as I really dont know what to expect seriously.

Since Chinese New Year, every night and morning, I would feel my fingers being so so numbed and swollen. My toes started to feel numb last night. I have difficulties in using my fingers to do simple task like grabbing my blanket, or my bolster. Just imagine crashing a piece of paper. I cant do it without much complaining of the tingling pain.

My gums swell yesterday and started bleeding when I brushed my teeth too. Gums were well throughout leh, only the last week then bleed. So not so bad afterall. I'm having terrible backaches and pelvis pain also. Feets are still swollen and red....I'm glad I got my birkenstock man. That's the only sandal I can wear now.

Tonight I have arrange for dinner with my gf, but am hesistating if I can make it to PS to meet up with them...Hubby offered to wait for me at TPY after work and then head back to Dhoby Ghaut to meet my gfs....Still deciding....
==========================
Hey, just got news that my gf is preggie again! So happy for her..She's gonna deliver in London this Aug with her 2nd child.....ang moh baby leh...
==========================
Yippy, I've finally got my pyjamas liao from TPY. Ended up buying those cartoon type of Pjs..hee hee. bought 3 that cost me $21.90. So that's the end of my shopping! I'm done.

8 more days to go....

Wah, today my colleague strike 4d leh. She is a very very heng heng girl. In a year, she can strike 4d many many times. Just in Jan, she told me that every year, her date of birth will sure open and indeed, just few weeks of waiting, it has rewarded her...the lucky number 0123. And she strike 2 numbers, 4611 as Ibet $200.

Been betting on my number for weeks since last year, but there is always 1 number that runs. Just like today's 2nd prize, the number is 3505. I bought 3507. haiz....HAIZ!!!!!! When will we strike big again....
===========================
I had another huge arguement with hubby yet again today over bb's Chinese name. I feel that as a dad, although he wants the best for his child, he doesnt seem to have a strong mind and decision to decide for his child. He loves to go around seeking people's opinion and end up listening to them. Why must we allow a 3rd party to name our child? Why? They are not our child's parents right? I always believe and think that as parents, we should name our child ourselves.

Just like today, he called up his friend who is a Chinese teacher to ask about which Chinese character to use. After talking talking, his friend came up with several other names which eventually hubby wanted to use! Why let his friend name our child??? Why? Then hubby's colleague also wrote some names on a piece of paper and hubby wanted to shortlist those names too. Argh! I dont understand lor. Why cant a name be as unique and why have a common chinese name?

I got really REALLY upset because I am seriously disappointed with him. I know I promise him that I will not interfere in him naming the Chinese name as I'm in charge of the English name. But somehow, cant we compromise? We had supposedly settled on the Chinese name, but now it seems after listening to his friend saying that the Chinese name we have chosen, doesnt have a meaning, he wants to change the name. Argh!!!! I hate it so much. I told myself, if I allow him to name our bb the way he insist, I will NOT call my bb by the Chinese name. I'm that stubborn.

I got fedup and decided to just head to my parents place instead of TPY to buy PJ. As I walked back, I couldnt help feeling angry and started to sob all the way home. I thought I would stop by the time I reached home, but no. The moment I heard hubby telling me he will go with daddy to buy the mattress at TPY, I shouted back, saying I dont want and started to cry again. Mum came in, spoke to me. Dad came in as well and pat me on the shoulder, telling me that as husband and wife, we have to sit down and talk. I cannot always insist that I am right blah blah and that we have 14 days to think about the name. And why not wait till bb is out, check out the timing and then choose a good name. You know, on and on and on.

After sobbing for another hour in the room, I decided to go and get my mattress once and for all. So we headed down to Toyogo but they ran out of stock. Then head down to TPY to buy. The mattress there is slight more ex, we paid $38 for one and the bedsheet cost us $7. Not cheap leh...
=========================
Last night, I shocked hubby in the middle of the night. I also dont know what's got into me. I just got woke up suddenly burping and feeling as if I want to vomit and naturally, I tapped on hubby's chest and said I want to vomit. He jumped out of the bed, very wide awake, on the toilet light and faster ran over to my side. I never saw him so frantic before! I wonder how he will react if my waterbag burst. Aiyo. I felt so bad shocking him, I apologize....

9 more days to go..or so?

Today can be considered as an eventful and uneventful day for me.

Woke up early happily for my check up at 1030am. Dr Chong is to examine my cervix today and I totally forgot all about it. I have heard many horrible stories about checking the cervix and just yesterday, my manicurist, was telling me, she was cursing all the midwives who came by to check her cervix dilation every hour when she was in labour. She is very young, 26 and has 2 kids already. She got married at age 17 and was a mother of two at age 19. She's a Malay and they marry at an early age. Her hubby is trying to persuade her to have a 3rd child...

Okay, back to checking. Okay, so I got undressed and then waited...I was expecting the feeling like being fingered, but it was worst than that, 110% times!!!! It went in and up and deep in and oh man!!! I couldnt stand it and tears started to roll down!!!!! Hubby was asked to wait outside while Dr Chong checked on me. I'm 2 cm dilated and it was over in few seconds, but that few seconds is like hours to me okay. Even after he was done, I still felt this stinging pain inside and it wasnt a pleasant feeling and I just cannot control but to really cry leh. Aiyo....Hubby see me also got upset and kept asking "very pain har". Kao man.

Dr Chong adviced me to take epidural, since with such examination, I cannot even take the pain. This is my first time leh, how I know it would be like this right? I dont have any prior experience mah. So anyhow, after I got dress up, he brought up the topic on pain relief lor. He say he really thinks I should take epidural then the whole process I wont have to suffer so painfully. Haiz...I dont know, but I'm so afraid of the big needle leh, after I saw how epidural is being adminster. It's really a HUGE one hor, then imagine it sticking into your spine. aiyo!!!!
Dr Chong added on that baby has engaged and that he is predicting I would be delivering next week, anytime from now. I'm starting to feel scared and frightened. I'm starting to think, how did my gfs made it through without epidural and enduring the midwives coming by every hour, sticking their 2 fingers up into them to check their cervix opening? How how how???

Then after that, I headed down to Bugis in search of my PJ and nursing bra. I didnt find any nice PJ, but at least I got the cheap nursing bra at just $9.90 each. We spotted a smilar one at Pretty that costs $19.90. Hubby was insisting that I buy on the spot, but I told him, I want to go Seiyu to take a look and I'm glad I stood my point. I paid just $20 for 2 pair, and if I were to buy at Pretty, it would have cost me $40 okay.

Then I went to have my hair cut. Sigh. I went in, determined not to layer my hair too much, but ended up, nana layered way too much I feel. And it made my hair very pom and she still dare to tell me my hair's gonna be pom. Argh!!!!!! See lah. Now I have to endure with this stupid hairstyle for the next 3 months and wait for it to grow out. Damn. I have never had such short hair since my JC days. How short is short? Okay, I cannot grab a bunch of hair and smell it, that's how short it is, to me. Sigh....kept consoling myself that my hair will grow back fast. I'm just gonna miss my beautiful locks after I deliver. Because once I deliver, my hormones are gonna go back to norm and I'm gonna start dropping hair...For the past 9 months, I had really nice rich hair texture and hardly drop any hair. That made hubby very happy when he is vaccuming the house. But then not for long....

We then headed home and waited for my parents to come fetch us to Pariss for dinner to celebrate daddy's 60th birthday. It was suppose to be a small affair, but ended up my elder bro and family came down as well. I felt sad that daddy has to treat all of us, 10 adults and 1 child. It cost him abt $500. Tomorrow hubby and myself will bao an angbao to him, $400. It's his birthday, why should he be treating us? I find it so funny. The food wasnt that fantastic and is comparable to Sakura and half the price somemore. Told hubby that we wont go there to eat again....

I'm tired by the time I reach home. Hubby is worried for me every second now as he keep thinking that I'm gonna deliver ANYTIME. I told him I want a March MARCH baby! I'm telling girl girl is another 4 more days....pls hang on there....

stay tune....

10 more days to go

It's so fast that this week is coming to an end real soon. Today is Friday and I'l be going for my 6th check up tomorrow.

Yesterday, MIL and SIL came over for dinner at our place. MIL cooked lots of fish and chicken wings. Somehow, I seem to have a lower tolerance of the fishy smell now. The dishes were cold by the time they were here, so I sms hubby to tell him I insist on making the dishes hot before I eat. I love to eat hot things, even if like for soup, if it's just mild warm, no way. I want it pipping hot type. I made this straight to hubby before, so he's my triumph card infront of MIL. Hee hee. He always tell her to just let me be. So I got my way to warm the dishes up before I eat.

I was hoping deep down that there wont be anything said to upset me. Hubby brought MIL and SIL to see the baby cot, comment comment. Then they brought up the discussion about where to place the baby cot etc etc. I wish I can turn up the telly's volume and turn to a deaf ears to what they are talking about. Deep down, I was thinking, bb is ours, bb will sleep with us, where bb sleeps is our business right? But well, it seems not when they are trying to poke into every business.

SIL saw the Avent steriliser on the table and asked whats that for, so hubby told her is to sterilise the milk bottles and breast pumps etc. I was keeping my finger crossed and hoping not to hear her say things like "Why need steriliser? just use a big pot to sterlise lah. Or why must sterilise the milk bottle for? " You know, just some of such %^&$* comments. But thank god, none were spurt out.

Then hubby is very enthusiatic at times that he wanna share things with his family. So he showed them the baby bouncer that my parents brought back for us. We have 3 sets~1 at my parents place;1 at our place and the last one to be brought back to MIL place. SIL told hubby since they are taking cab, she can bring it home. I told hubby, are we going to go your mother's place within the next 3 months? Then why bring there so early for what? Let it collect dust? So I came up with a stupid excuse to say I have yet to wash the cloth for the bouncer. Lame.

Seriously speaking, I really dont look forward to bringing bb to my PIL place. If I wanna wash up bb, it's gonna be damn difficult, coz the toilet is so small and squeezy and is so dark. There's no light in the toilet okay. We have to use the kitchen light as the toilet light. And then, they dont use the seat cover. I dont know what's the reasoning, but I dont even dare to use the seat cover. Then next time girl girl will have to use her potty there. So what happens when she is a big girl? I'm gonna insist to have the seat cover changed. Even right now, when I'm carrying a big tummy, I have to stride a horse-stand position to pee! Argh.

Then MIl always raise her voice very loudly. Yesterday, hubby told her off, to keep her volume low, that's this is our house and not her house. She told him she dont care, she say next time her grand daughter will talk loud too, so as not to lose out to people. Wah liao. I have to swallow that okay. I feel upset, very upset when MIL raise her voice to talk, even if you are just beside her. Is their family culture. But by talking loud, wont it affect your ear drums? As a result, you tend to shout instead of talking and you switch on the tv at full volume because you cannot hear. Bb's ears are so sensitive. And if since young they are gonna be exposed to such loud high pitch voice, what would happen when they grow up? And plus, whenever hubby talks to MIL about some things that will upset her, she will start rumbling off all the vulgarities. I suppose to hokkeins is a norm. But not to a child leh. I keep telling hubby about my colleague's son as an example. But he doesnt seem to take it seriously.

I just wish we dont go over often.

==================
Just back from my mani/pedi. Quite satisfied with the outcome. This would be my last mani/pedi before I deliver and my last session with Good Earth Nail Spa too. To pamper myself, I did a Grapeseed oil treatment for my hand at $15. Not worth it at all leh, they simply use this handcream to rub on my fingers and arms, then wrap it with plastic sheet and then to this heating pack for 10 mins. Given a choice, I would very much prefer paraffin instead! But they dont have this service. Oh well...Will consider trying out other nail spa when I have the time...

Today is the first time that I step out of the house ever since Chinese New Year. It is rather scary, because I realise I can no longer walk the same speed as I did few weeks back! I have to walk slowly and if I do speed up, I start to have tightening of my uterus and is not very comfortable. Each time this happens, I have to take in deep breathe in, out slowly to relax the muscle. I brought along a pad just in case *touch wood* my water bag burst. hee hee...

Well, as expected, there wasnt any empty seats on the train, so I had to stand all the way to Dhoby Ghaut. It's tiring for me now to stand say just even for a 15mins ride. But glad I made it in one piece. Muahahaha. Luckily hubby came to fetch me after work. I feel safe once again when hubby's with me.

Last week I caught Junior feeling so sad one night. He seem to start the habit of resting like this...with his chin on the floor, like a dog. Aiyo, when I see him like this, I feel like sayang him....

11 more days...

Oh boy....

this is my 2nd day working from home and I'm enjoying every moment of it. I dont have to get up early and hubby would have to come to the bedroom to kiss me goodbye instead of kissing me while I'm taking my shower in the morning halfway. muahaha. This morning I am so lazy that I didnt get up to prepare breakfast for hubby. Opps...

Was just reading up on the internet about baby being engaged and chanced upon this article on Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD), in simpler terms is

ROM Anniversary

Today is our ROM 1 year 9 months anniversary. Was telling hubby last night today is our anniversary, then he said, why so many anniversary one. hahahahahah

I feel sad that the long holiday has come to an end, and is gonna be another month of waiting before the next public holiday comes along. And yes lah, although I get 3 months of rest from work, but then, without any help, I'm gonna cope all by myself alone. I sure hope I wont suffer from post natal blues..

Stretch marks are starting to appear on my tummy by the sides. Red, streaks....seems like I cannot prevent it..boo hoo....I'm having lots of difficulties falling asleep also. I try to sleep on my left hand side more, but after hours, I get stiff neck and backache, so once awhile, I have to turn to my right side. But then I feel this tension on my back like a big vein being pressed down and so I had to turn again. Sigh..this goes on for hours and when I finally get to sleep, hb's up for work.

I'm 38 weeks...

Today's the 3rd day of the Lunar Chinese New Year, and I'm into my 38th week. How fast right? Hubby took out the steriliser, breast pump, food warmer, wet wipes, breast pads out from the storeroom today. Gotta find time to start washing up the bottles already. We are still anticipating when bb will engage herself....

Last night I didnt manage to sleep well. Hubby insisted that we switch on the fan to sleep and at 3am, I was woken up by itch on my left hand! There was a big fat mosquito targetting at me! I got up, switched on the lights and waited to see where was this mosquito to kill it. I saw it, but didnt manage to kill it in time and so I waited and waited till I fell asleep with the lights on till 430am. By then, I was too tired to do anything and slept through till morning.

Only then did hubby help me to take revenge in the afternoon when he was packing the room. Hee hee...finally killed that big fat thing.

Hubby was suppose to do some visiting with his mother today, but FIL told him not to go out and to keep me company. I'm so touched that FIL is so concern about me. He is a man with little words, but his gestures tells alot that he cares for the family and is as excited to see his grand-daughter too. And so, we rot at home till evening before heading to my mother's place for dinner. Got to eat all the yummy food again. I've gotta eat while I can before I start my confinement and mummy will have to restrict my meals...
===========================
Was just asking my gf, what's the damage to her bank account for this Chinese New Year. She just got married on 30th Dec and this would be her first year to give out ang baos...I'm just so glad that our damage isnt that bad, coz this year is an exceptionally quiet year for us. Granny's in hospital on eve after she fell at home. So only my big auncle and 3rd uncle came to mummy's place for dinner. 2nd uncle didnt turn up...Then daddy's side, relatives also didnt come this year...Good also lah, we didnt have to give much ang baos too. wahahahahaah

Happy Anniversary.....

Today is my 1st year wedding anniversary, 19th of Feb 2007. It's also the 2nd day of the Lunar Chinese New Year of the Pig. It's suppose to be a happy day for me, a 2 person's world day, just me and hubby. But it always always happens that hubby would rather spend such a once a year day with others. He's inviting his Indian friend to drop by our house today for lunch. And so I compromised and told him, then let's have the night to ourselves. And yet this morning, he told me that his father may drop by to our place later. AND then, he called home and asked his parents and sis if they wanna drop by our place today! I was like %^&*(.

I told him off, I said, he doesnt seem to care about this day at all. I guess all guys are like that. They feel that there's nothing to celebrate about. I really really wish I can give hubby a doubt about it. Today is never the same as yesterday or tomorrow. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that we would head out somewhere tonight.

Yesterday, the 18th of Feb, is a day that I would never forget. The day that I had to undergo D&C after I had miscarriage at home on 17th Feb. How time flies and it's been a year. At least 14 days from now, I'm counting down to seeing my darling babe soon. Papa is missing her too and want to meet her. For the past few days, hubby has been playing and practicing his carrying skill on my little niece Jadyne. She's such a chubby babe and is so fun to play with now. Just yesterday, she had wanted to have a taste of the red ang bao, and we had to take it away from her. She was so pissed with us, she just closed her eyes and frown. haha, it was such a sight to see from her throwing her temper, at just 10 months old.

My other elder niece, Jodi, stared at my big tummy and said : "Gu-gu, your tummy is so big."
I had a little chat with her and it was so hilarious to me. I showed her my tummy and there was this dark linea nigera line that runs in the center of my belly.
Jodi : Gu-gu, why is there a line on your tummy.
Me: Because of hormone changes. Next time when you have a baby, you will also have a line on your tummy.
Jodi : Har, I dont want to have baby...
Me : Why?
Jodi : Because it is very painful.
(At this point in time, I just cant help but to laugh at her..)
Me : Who told you that?
Jodi : Mummy.

Then the other day, I asked her what is her ambition. She said
Jodi : I want to be a diamond scientist
Me : Why? You like diamonds ah?
Jodi : Yes, they are so sparkling and shiny
Then as the conversation carried on, I realise that if any object that is in crystal white shines brightly and sparkles, to her, is a diamond! How did I find out? That's when she told me that her Grandpa hangs this "diamond" in his car and when the sun shines on it, it reflects and cast a rainbow of ray onto her. So, I showed her hubby's ring and said there is a small diamond on his ring and then my new watch, which has 2 rows of diamonds too. hee hee...

And just the other day, my nephew came and asked : "Gu-gu, where is your baby?" So I pointed to my tummy and said :"Inside here."
=================================
Last night, papa was so nice to send me back to office to pick up the CPU and laptop, so that I can work from home till end of this month. I realy wont want to head back to office to work. I feel tired real easily now....and I can sleep and sleep!
=================================
Went for my check up on Sat and wah, all other gynae's clinics were not operating except mine! And it was rather crowded too, even though he is only opened for half a day...There were hardly any vehicles around at the hospital too and no traffic. hee hee. Baby is about 3 kg and hubby caught a glimpse of her little finger today on the screen. He was so excited. Alas, my gynae didnt give me any printouts that day. Sigh....

Damn suay leh

Yesterday hubby dropped by my office to help me carry back my CPU. And who knows when I brought home to set up, the CPU cannot start! It keeps saying there is disk error message. Damn! I was suppose to start working from home today until 28th. So suay right?

I didnt want to go back office, I'm so upset the whole night yesterday. Then hubby gave in to me seeing that I was sobbing liao. He helped me bring the cpu back to office at 11pm and we reached office at 1130pm. Set up my PC and it does show the error message also..Haiz..no choice, I left with a heavy heart.

So today, I have to throw leave lah. xian lor. Then now gotta ask my colleague to quickly set up her new CPU so that I can use her old cpu and work from home. But it never beats having my own CPU leh..boo hoo...why oh why must u die on me this time>? Am I really destine to work in office????

My other colleague was so nice to help me log a call to IT, but god knows when that stupid IT will come and fix up my cpu!!! I need it urgently man. I really dont want to clear my leave for nothing...

Hubby looked so tired this morning. I think he wasnt in a good mood also due to being so tired. dad sms me to ask us go home for dinner tonight. So IF I have to chance, would borow dad's car to office to pick up the CPU if the CPU is working fine...hopefully.

Post Valentine's

So what happen last night?

Well, after work, I meet up with hubby at Dhoby Ghaut. Had wanted to go to Ichiban for some Japanese food but hubby suggested Indian food, so we headed down to Race Course Road, Gayatri for dinner.

We had curry fish head, lady's fingers, mutton masala, Stuffed chicken toufu and butter nan. It was delicious, yummy and there wasnt much crowd too. We chat over dinner, talked about work, talked about hubby's interview etc. Had wanted to ask mum and dad to join us but my niece and nephew are going over, so is just the 2 of us.

Hubby's thoughts are far away during dinner. He's thinking about the interview that he's going today. Hubby said he didnt think much when it came to relationship. Just like when we started out, he used his gut feeling. His mother and sister were rather shocked and worried that I would cheat him. Haha. Because we only pak tor for less than 6 months and marriage was on our mind already. And then, when hubby stayed over my place during our pak tor time, he didnt think much also and just stayed.

And when it comes to work and jobs, he would keep thinking and thinking. Last night after we got home, he logged onto the net to research more on the job and the company. He was disappointed to know the job scope is similar to what he's doing in HP for 6 years. He didnt want to go back into this line, as there's really no market value for him should he decides to look elsewhere. He even had thoughts to cancel the interview and I chide him. Told him he should just go for it and see what happens. I would have qualify for the position as well and would apply if not for my pregnancy. They are willing to pay high, probably because is at Changi and is a permanent job offer as well.

I didnt sleep well last night and I think hb didnt sleep well either. He woke up early today, showered and left the home, forgetting to kiss me goodbye. Sigh....
========================
I received an sms from my colleague and she asked if I received any flowers from hb. I told her dont have and her reply disturbed me.

She said if I did not receive any flowers, then expect the rest of my life to be the same. Men are all like that. My hubby is not like that. My hubby cares for me and loves me with or without flowers. Just because she's isnt on good terms with her hubby and her hubby doesnt put in much effort to care about her and the family, doesnt mean all men are like that mah. So I defended back and said, flowers or not, it doesnt matter to me. Hb got me a gift that I treasure.
Anyone else need not understand my hubby, but I have to understand. Everyone thinks hb is a miser, but I know he's not. I asked him why was he willing to spend so much on the watch for me, given that he normally thinks twice before buying something so expensive.
He said : "I'm willing to spend on others, but not on myself."

I peeped into his diary yesterday and read that he really forgot about valentine's day if I had not reminded him. The watch wasnt meant to be a surprise to me, he just wanted me to be happy. I'm touched that he just has a simple thought~for me, his wife to be happy. And he did made me happy.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

I am so happy....not exactly over the moon, but then happy happy lor. Thats because hubby got me a Sovil Titus watch as a Valentine's Day gift which surprised me. I was bugging and bugging him to get me something for Valentine's Day OR our first year wedding anniversary....He was having 2 days training course at Tiong Bahru and it ended early yesterday, so he went to shop around...

Then he came to pick me up at Harbourfront MRT. I spotted a City Chain paper bag and didnt comment much. Then later, I asked, what's that, then he cook up a story to say his mum's neighbour gave us some kueh lapis, just a small box. I peep in the paper bag and saw a white box that looks like those bakery shop box and didnt bother much. Was slightly disappointed, but okay. Then I asked him why he took the kueh lapis when I have bought a big box at home already...He carried on his acting and said that he forgot to bring some for mum. And then said his mum dug out the City Chain paper bag from who knows where. So I jokingly asked, why not get her to dig out a Lee Hwa paper bag and make me happy. hee hee...

As we got into the train, I totally forgot all about it. Then hubby looked at me and said : "You are really so stupid." I was like "Har"? Then he said :" Look inside lah"

hahaha.....So happy leh...I looked inside and it wasnt the kueh lapis lah! It was a watch lor. And here's how it looked like, with pink strap.

Though I would prefer metal strap, coz with leather, I fear with my chor-lor-ness, I would ruin it in no time. But hubby said he thinks the leather one looks nicer. I love whatever hubby choose for me. I asked why didnt he get a swatch watch instead and he said there wasnt any shop that sells swatch watch...And so, he got this instead. I'm so touched lor, never expect him to get a gift for me...No roses, no bouquets, but I'm equally happy. Thank you hubby!!!!

The casio watch that I am wearing is dated back since my Poly days when I got it as a pair with my ex then. Been wanting to change my watch, was eyeing this pink strap Swatch watch, but so ex I abit heartpain to buy....So each time my casio watch battery dies on me, I would just change the battery and it comes alive again. It's been 10 years this watch has accompanied me...and now I can wear a watch that my husband bought for me.

Hubby asked me not to get him any gift, and I feel bad that I didnt prepare anything. I'm always with him 24-7, how to get things for him secretly? I had thoughts to wake up early and decorate our mirror with hearts and my declaration of love for him, but he wakes up earlier than me and I cant do it secretly to surprise him either. Aiyah...So I sent him an sms to say his V-day pressie would be our little babe....hee hee...

===========================

Last night I was carrying Junior and discover that he seem to have some wetness around his nose. That got me worried, because snuffles not a joke. I tried to clean up his nose with tissue..I recall past few days, I accidentally touched his nose and felt it was alittle wet too. I really hope he wont get snuffles. Bowie is down with snuffles for months and cannot be cured. I worry for him. He hasnt been eating vegetables or hay and only rush for pellets. It's due to his molar teeth that he cannot chew much. Haiz...heartpain.

Maybe I will call up Dr Ling to make an appointment to bring Junior to see her. Just worried that during confinement, Junior's sickness might take a turn.

I'm 37 weeks

I still cannot get over the news that I received yesterday....haiz...

One gf ended her relationship after 6 long years. The guy is such a complete jerk, only to tell her that he is not ready to commit now when they have already booked the 40 storey TPY flat and there were talks abt having a simple ROM. It's been more than a month since the relationship ended. How sad right.

Then another news is one of my sec sch friend is 7 weeks preggie and the guy, does not want to take up responsibility! He's determined to kill her child. And guess what, he is a doctor somemore.. How ironic. This friend of mine is very strong-willed. She is going to keep her child and is very determined. It's not going to be easy to be a single mother, seriously. If this happens to me, I doubt I would have the strength to carry on. So I really peifu her.

Then there's another news from my other gf who seems to think her marriage is falling apart due to differences with her hb. Both are my sec sch friend as well. And I'm sad to see when they arent working out. I mean as a friend of theirs, I really wish they can work things out. I told her, there must be something that he have attracted her to him, for her to fall in love with him, for her to commit her life with him and to declare to the world that they love each other. That's how I tell myself whenever hubby quarrels with me. I would think back why we got married in the first place, the happier times we had, our first date blah blah and it would just soften my heart once again.

Her son is coming to a year this month. I can tell she is very depressed and tired with all the quarrels every weekend. Furthermore, with her child, she is staying on for his sake. I agree totally that the child is innocent and would suffer the most when parents fall out. Haiz....I sure hope that things would work out between them.

Do men really change after marriage? I'l say perhaps 50-50. Hubby did change and so did I. Last night while I was watching Channel 8, hubby started cleaning up bunnies cages and preparing their dinner for them the minute we came home. I looked at him from the living room and thought to myself. This is a good husband. I'm glad I made my choice. How many husband would help do housework, would help me clean up my bunnies cage? Before I got preggie, I was the one cleaning up and he would run far far away....coz he couldnt stand the smell. But now, because of his child, he has to sacrifice. hee hee. He's counting down too. To the day that I would be taking back my duties and he would be carrying his daughter. haha.

I'm counting down this week..Today's Tuesday and I'm 37 weeks liao... I'm thinking of taking the day off this Friday, just want to laze around or perhaps drop by Chapter 2 for a hair cut. But then, I want hubby to accompany me...He said he dont want to waste his leave. argh....so god knows when I'm going for my haircut lor..sob sob.Probably next week lah. Keep delaying...
============================
Tomorrow's Valentine's day...but I'm not expecting anything from hubby. Haiz...Although I really do wish he may come up with some surprises like a bouquet of flowers or gift u know, but I know deep down it wont happen. HUbby's a very practical person. And moreover, I would also feel heartpain to know he has to spend $ to get flowers on V day when they mark up the price. I would love to have flowers on our 1st year anniversary though. 19th Feb...the 2nd day of the Chinese New Year.....Let's wait and see...

Monday again....

I'm counting down...This week will be my last week in office, then will be working from home after Chinese New Year..Yippy!!!! Dont have to worry having difficulties in getting up the bus and alighting, dont have to worry about not getting a seat on the train. But I'm worried about my lunch at home...haiz..Dont know what to eat and cook.

Last Sat went for my 36th week checkup. Baby is doing fine, and estimated to weigh 2.8kg now. Hee hee. But then, duno how accurate is the weight lah, but I sure hope to have a 3kg bb at least.. Anyhow, most important, she must be healthy.

Told gynae that I'm having serious finger numbness man. And my hand seem to keep swelling. On Sat, mum observed my feet and said my ankle seem swollen. I didnt really believe her, until I tried to wear my old sandals and gosh, I cannot fit them. Even my wedding shoes, I cannot buckle them up my ankle! It look like an elephant feet. Boo hoo. Thank god I've got my birkenstock which I can only wear for now. I'm thinking dont know if I can still go for my mani/pedi next Friday not leh...hmmm.....

Past few days, I'm having more discharge than usual as well...Gf said is a sign that I'm delivering real soon and I've gotta keep track of any bloody mucus....Anxious anxious. Hubby reminded me last night to not be the last to alight from the bus, in case the bus driver does not observe and drive off while I'm still trying to get down the bus. Scary thoughts. We locked our pinky as a promise to him that I will not be the last to alight. Hee hee. I feel so unsafe without hubby around nowadays...

I'm starting to have more frequent braxton hicks contraction too Like this morning, I had them thrice and last night at mum's place, a couple of times. I have to start practicing my deep breathing technique to ease the tightness around my tummy. Inhale, exhale...Getting down the bed require more skill now as my tummy gets in the way. And whenever I get up, bb starts to move and I have to wait for her to move to a comfortable position before I get down the bed. Hee hee. Sounds weird, but that's just the way it works for me lor. muahahah. Yesterday was dazing on bed with hubby. Then he said he had no space on bed and wanna push me down the bed. So I shove to him my tummy and asked him to push lah. Then I told bb, " see see, papa want to push you down the bed" and immediately, there was a big obvious bulge out from my tummy! hahahah. I told hb, "see see, she is angry liao!!!" and he faster yang my tummy to coax her. hahahahaha...It's so funny to think about it.

Hubby's having 2 days course at Tiong Bahru and get to sleep till 815am. How envy. I would have to get up at 7am. I act pitiful and told him, no one's gonna on the heater for me in the morning...so he got up today to on the heater before going back to bed. muahahah. Love you hubby....

I was reading an article yesterady in the papers. About tubby hubby and the wife celebrating thier wedding anniversary and the wife got news of her friend who is getting a divorce. She ended the article saying that the sweetest thing her hubby ever done for her was to marry her and that tells the whole world hw much he really love and chrish her. It made me tot of hubby too, that we got married, coz we loved each other so much and wanted to spend the rest of our life together. Just yesterday afternoon, hubby stood at the baby cot and said to me that he is very very happy that our creation of life is coming soon. When I heard this, I feel so happy deep down, knowing that bb is both hubby and my creation. Is the fruit of our love, and we are looking forward to meeting her soon.
===============================
Just got to know another sec sch fren of ours is 7 weeks preggie now..but she's not married yet...So happy. Seems like our friends are all becoming mothers and fathers...
===============================
Then I got a piece of bad news...a close close gf of mine broke up with her bf last month. They even booked the TPY 40 storey flat and were planning to ROM this year! I was so looking foward to their ROM.....so sad...

Tada.....our baby cot finally arrived yesterday afternoon, after waiting and waiting for the deliveryman to come. Hubby had to leave house early for his IPPT at Maju camp, so I had no choice but to ask my parents to swing by. Otherwise, I will be alone at home.

Here's how the cot looks like after the complete setup....and on the bed is the beach bear comforter set that I have chosen for bb. The cot looks pretty huge in the room and time being we are having it in the 2nd bedroom. When bb arrives, then we would have to shift it to our master bedroom. Need some gongfu to shift the cot, because the doorway fits the baby cot just nice and due to the angle of our master bedroom door, we would have to tilt the whole cot up before we can shift it in. Not an easy task I believe....

Nonetheless, hubby is very pleased and he is very confident it would be of good usage. As long as he is happy, I'm happy.

Friday baby...

Last evening after work, met up with hubby at Queenstown MRT to head to Ikea to check out the children's wardrobe.

It wasnt crowded, in fact, it was rather empty. I love to shop when there's not much people around. You can take your time to see things, walk slowly and not have people get into your way. We shop around for an hour and walked off with a table mat, a bowl and a cloth hanger. So once we reached home, hubby set up the cloth hanger in the room. It looks so much neater now. hee hee..

Pending on our list is still the cupboard and a mattress needed for my massage. Gonna get a cheap mattress from Toyogo at just $30. I sure hope it is okay to be used...

Thursday

Will today be a beautiful Thursday for me? Hubby told MIl last night that we will not be going back for dinner today. Hee hee. So happy. He thought of not going back until CNY eve, but then next week he is having training at Tiong Bahru on Tuesday and Wednesday I think. And so, he is thinking of going back on Tuesday for dinner. But I wish we didnt have to, because I get so tired easily now.

Like yesterday, after tabao, we walked home and I have to walk very slowly and it took us more than 15mins to get home. I was close to breathless by the time we arrived at our void deck. Lousy me.

Bb seem to have overslept this morning. She hasnt been moving much since this morning leh. Normally she is quite active..gee...still taking her afternoon nap perhaps...haha, just disturbed her and saw her moving liao..

Yet another colleague commented that my nose has swell. Boo Hoo...And also my cheeks. Yuck, so ugly leh..Every part of me is swelling...And heng is only this month it started to swell. Phew...I'm hoping my legs and ankle will not swell so much like an elephant! I am starting to miss the glow I had during my first and second trimester. Felt so pretty then, but now, aiyo...

I'm going for my next appointment this Sat and then it will be a weekly visit until I deliver. So fast right, how time flies....
===================================
Just booked my last appointment for my mani and pedi. Aiyo, wanted next Monday and Tuesday yet it is already fully booked. So cham leh. xian half. So no choice, I book for 23rd Feb, Friday. I sure hope that I would not deliver so early...But then, xian half lor, I have to travel to Dhob Ghaut from home, as I would be working from home...haiz...

My secret rendezvous

Okay, so finally I've got the photos up.....
Oriental Hotel....our getaway for our wedding anniversary.....This is how the room looks like. We got a complimentary upgrade to Harbour View Room. Look at the super king size bed. I wish our simmon bed comes in this size. It is so spacious that hubby said he can turn and toss without even touching me! haha.This is the bathroom which has a separate shower and a bathtub. The bathtub is pretty small as compared to Ritz Carlton and there's no nice view in the bathroom too..sigh... This is the vanity top....which I wish mine was like this at home...This is the complimentary red wine we received and the beautiful bouquet of red red roses. The roses doesnt seem to be like those sold in market. They are much bigger, thicker and redder too. It's really a pleasant surprise for me. Look at the gorgeous view we had from our room....This was taken during the day....And this taken in the night...beautiful to wake up to such a sight....The photo below is taken at Melt cafe. I was so tired, I didnt sleep well at the hotel because the bed was tooo soft for me...And I insisted to hubby to wake up early so that we can spend 2 hrs for our breakfast. So I dragged myself up at 8am.....Then we had a walk around the swimming pool after our good spread of breakfast at Melt Cafe.
=====================================
wah, this morning our thread is up on the forum and then the competitor got aggressive and started to do posting in her own thread to state clearly that their pregnancy test strips are 2 times more sensitive than other commercial brands etc etc. oh KNS lah. So desperate for customers like that. And then this competitor also sent pm to many others in the forum. Can get ban okay, I wish someone can just complain.

mmm..My colleague just commented that my nose seem to have swell. Got meh? I didnt notice leh..aiyo. To me only my fingers swell and probably my ankle nia. But face?? oh god. gonna ask hubby later. It's another 7 more days before I can rest!!!!

I'm 36 weeks!!!!!

Oh boy oh boy....I'm 9 months liao and counting down real soon!!! I'm quite sad that my pregnancy is coming to an end when I hardly barely started to enjoy..hee hee.
It's only now that I'm suffering from water retention and my fingers are so fat and plump and painful when I carry things. It's so weird to see my hand become so fat leh..Yesterday I was examining my feet and wah, think my ankle also start to swollen but then is not painful leh. Heng.

I'm counting down 9 more days before Chinese new year is around the corner and I would get to work from home till end of this month before I am on leave officially on 1st March. Hee hee. cant wait. In fact, I really wonder and anticipate when my girl girl will arrive...I keep telling her that I want her to be a March baby just like her daddy. So they can celebrate birthday together. Hubby's been sick also and so am I. I refuse to take any medication until last night, I couldnt take the coughing. Sip a tablespoon of cough syrup and I slept so soundly last night! Hubby asked if I knew he was coughing away after I came back to sleep. I told him I didnt know, I was already in deep sleep. He said he cough for 30 mins and woke up to take the cough mixture too and slept through the night. Poor us. I felt bad disturbing hubby also and he kept waking up to check on me and if I can breathe properly, sleep properly, need warm water etc. So I try my very best not to disturb him...

Sure hope tonight will be a good night for us both.

Secret Rendezvous...

Today's Monday and I thought it would be a fine day but it appears not so.

I didnt sleep well last night and disturbed hubby. Felt so bad about it. I was coughing and feeling breathless sleeping and had to toss around for a good position. It didnt help that I was having blocked nose and I had to breath through my mouth and that drys up my throat. argh. Tried sleeping with the fan on for an hour and I was sweating away. So hubby woke up gave me hot water and turned on the aircondition. I doze off not long but woke up with my throat really dry, so I off the aircon and switched on the fan again. Sigh...Then the alarm rang. It felt as if I had only 2 hours of sleep. : ( Woke up with my fingers all feeling numb and painful. Is it the effect of water retention? So now I have fat fingers and I cannot wear my wedding band anymore.

Right after I stepped into office, colleagues swam over and asked me about the issue that happend on Friday. Haiz...It seems as if without me, everything cannot work. Why so? They have been too reliant on me liao and expect that I would clear everything. So now they are panicking liao, coz I would be going on my maternity leave real soon. So who's fault is it to blame? Then another colleague came over and told me that the new temp girl seem to be very very stress at work. Stress with what? Am I a bad teacher or is she a poor learner? She takes down notes diligently, but she re-copied them neatly into her own notebook during office hours and it seems to take up time. End up I heard she stayed late last Friday and nearly burst into tears for a problem that she cannot resolve. First it was checking a document that is dated 2005, then a wrong company code. Blur.

I'm trying my very very best to be patient with her. This is the first time I'm nearly losing my head coaching someone. Normally I wont and I take time to teach till you understand, but then not this time round. Maybe my hormones are playing around with me. I'm really running out of time. I have another 10 more days to go before it's Chinese New Year and I would be working from home soon. I'm having difficulties in standing for too long while on the MRT. But thank god for the NEL, the time from Boon Keng MRT to Harbourfront is just a mere 15 mins.

This morning as usual, a guy emptied his seat and the lady infront of him sat down promptly, and I'm very very sure she spotted me just right infront of her. She couldnt have missed me. But well then, that's the daily incident I meet. I just wonder next time when they are preggie, dont even wish that people would offer them seats automatically. Period.
================================
My secret rendezvous with hubby at Oriental Hotel was nearly a spoiler. I was disappointed, but then I sure hope my hubby understands. On the first day of check in, I was so looking forward to spending some quiet time with hubby. He called his mum and offered to invite her over to our room, given that she has never had the chance to come up to Oriental before you see. I wasnt pleased of course, because this is OUR time and I dont wish any 3rd party to be around. Hubby's thinking is very different from me. He perceive that he would share around with his family or close friends the good things and so he pretended to ask me for permission and I gave him a black face and he told his mum I agreed! Right after he hung up, I tried to reason out with him. And he dare to say he was just testing water. I told him off and it ruined my day.

I took an hour nap before I was woken up by the phone. It was the reception and they had a bouquet of flowers for me. Surprise har! And there was a bottle of red wine complimentary as well for us! Hee hee. That sure did cheer me up alittle lah.

The next day, we had a complimentary bottle of champagne from the person that I liase with at HP. I told him that I'm spending my wedding anniversary 3 weeks in advance as I really dont know when I would be due. I guess he made the arrangements for us for the red wine and flowers and now offering the champagne to us on the house. Good service!

Overall, Ritz Carlton is still the best so far that I have stayed. But for service wise, Oriental won me over. Will upload the photos when I have time tonight....
=================================
My gf are asking me what else do I need for bb. *crack head leh* I've got tons of hand me down from my SIL, just got from her the My breast friend pillow and bouncer from mum. Thought of asking them to sponsor the MIM sarong sling, but then another gf of mine was so nice to offer to get me that instead...So now I've got to think of another item. We are still hunting for the right wardrobe for bb. Hubby was thinking of getting those plastic drawer type of cupboard and will need to go and hunt for that soon. I guess last resort is ang bao lor hor...

Virus...virus...

I've fallen sick.

Dont know whether hubby spread the flu bug to me or what. He's not been feeling well for the past few days. Started with flu and sore throat and now his cough is developing. Hasnt got any better. We've been sleeping with the fan on for the past 1 week. And now that I'm having flu as well, I cant stand sleeping in the aircondition on as well. Hard to breathe.

Last night I didnt sleep well. Had very dry throat and I wanted a glass of water, but was very tired to go to the kitchen. Hubby woke up at 4am to pee and I requested to have a cup of warm water..hee hee...

My back aches also and I kept tossing left and right. Bb kept moving about so I sway my body while lying on bed to rock her to sleep. ahaha. Sounds so funny, but it does work at times leh. Hubby was examining my fingers on the train yesterday and said my fingers are fat. The sign of water retention!!!!! I also realise my ankle are sort of swollen, they arent as slim as they were the last time. Was chatting with my 2 other pregnant supervisors and they are also experiencing water retention. I told them there was a night when my left hand had this tingling feeling like numbness through the night. And when I clench my fist, it has this very suan feeling. I guess now is the period to suffer till I deliver soon....

Cant wait for 12noon to arrive, to meet hubby for our secret rendezvous at Oriental Hotel...Hee hee...

Another Thursday

Today's Thursday. This week pass by so fast...and today is already 1st of Feb. and another 4 more weeks to go before I'm due...Counting down, getting anxious, excited, having jitters...

This morning, I had to stand till Chinatown before I get to sit. Was very disappointed with the lady who was standing beside me. The guy got up at Little India station and the lady knowing that I'm with a big tummy, sat down without blinking an eyelid! And there was this red sticker that says to give up seats to those who need. And then??? Bang. Buay Paisay one leh, some people. Okay, maybe she is sick, maybe she not well, tired blah blah. But then????

At least yesterday, this guy offered his seat to me when he saw me. Normally I dont stand in the center of the MRT, coz I myself also paisay when people give up seats for me. God bless them. So I normally stand at the side, near to the door area until I see an empty seat. Like yesterday, at Dhoby Ghaut station, many people alighted and as usual, there were 2 ladies who stood beside me, they immediately sat down when there were 2 seats lor. That's when the guy saw me and offered me his seat. I was grumbling to hubby lor, that they are ladies too, they will also one day be pregnant mah. Even their own daughters too right? haiz....

I'm starting to feel tired very easily. Last night we walked home from Boon Keng MRT. I have to walk slow and then stop after certain distance to rest for awhile. My contractions are increasing and most of the time in the morning and late afternoon. It comes and go very fast, but it is rather uncomfortable lor. And then my pelvis area har, aiyo, I feel the worst when I'm sitting down and then stand up to walk around. It feels like muscle ache and super duper pain. And I always grumble to hubby lor and he ask me got so pain meh?

Tell him off lah, I told him, during the 1st 6 months have he ever hear me complain not? No right, then only now I complain he cannot ren and be understanding meh? har har har? haahahahah.

He's also counting down to the day when he can finally take a break from washing my bunnies cage! Haha. I told him lah, he would carry bb while I wash lor...*wink*

I bought some vegetarian food yesterday during lunch to cook for dinner, but in the midst of rushing off to catch my bus, I forgot to bring home. Then tonight gotta bring to MIL's place and though hubby said she offered to make hot for me, I bet she will grumble about eating such stuffs. I dread to hear....
==========================
Forgot to update that I went to Chinatown on Tuesday night and it was already so packed with people! I managed to buy my kueh bangkit and the peanut cookies. The Kueh Bangkit didnt have much taste though, but okay lah. Hubby and myself love to eat this...

I also bought the sofy 35cm long pad that costs just $2.20 each(8pcs) 2 packets, 1 packet (10pcs) of Kotex adhesive pad that costs $5.30. Dont know enough not..Should be enough lah hor, since I still have many Whisper pads at home yet to be used....hee hee
