Hubby overslept and woke up only when my handphone alarm went off at 7:00am. He had to rushed off soon after, poor hubby. Hope he's doing fine at work today on a Monday.
Stepped into office and notice the empty seat(yet again). As usual, she's on urgent leave. Argh. Why does this always happen during the closing period? And especially on Mondays. She's been absent for countless mondays through the years. How can a team work when one often falls back and leaves behind the pile of work to clear up? argh. pissed.
Just attended a close friend's wedding on Sat. It's all the way to the other end of the island, at Jurong....we took nearly 1 hour 15mins to reach the interchange and by then, hubby was grumbling and hence, we took a cab down to the restaurant. It was a relatively simple and cosy wedding. Surprise surprise, when we arrived, our names werent on the guestlist and I was like so damn paisay about it. I was a little turned off when the girl asked "so are you XX's army friend, NTU friend, Secondary school friend etc." None of the above. And later when she wasnt able to locate our names, she posted the same stupid question again. I had to then tell her that I am the groom's music friend and it's not stated on any of the group on the list. Oh man. Then luckily my godbrother told the girl that we are seated at Table 14, and so she made a note on the list. Turned out that Table 14 was the helper's table and that's why it's not listed on the guestlist lah. dude.
Ended up only hubby and I were seated at the table 85% of the time as the helpers had to be the videographer, slide player, flower petals thrower, bubble blowers etc. And the table ang-bao was just under the table. Hubby and I were being assigned to be the "help look after our things" helper. Grrr.....I am fine with it as well, since we get to eat most of the food too. Although I must say it's not to my liking...
My friend's emcees were good and because all the helpers are close friends, they can click and part up together very well throughout the night. How envy! I'm having headache about my emcees now, as hubby got his army friend to lead in the Mandarin speech and I am intending to get my sis-in-law to lead in the English speech. How to have "moi-qi" like that? Cham. That's when it got hubby to think twice about getting his army friend as emcee. (Phew)
They had games to play in guessing how long have the couple known each other todate and Ang Bao of $88 was given out to those who guessed correctly.
It ended around 1045pm and we reached home at 12midnight.
I am so excited now!!!! Studio has just called and said our photos are ready for selection and we are heading down this Wednesday after work! Wish I can head down today!
Part of me is filled with excitement, the other part of me is filled with worries. What if the photos turned out very awful? What if one look at the photos and we dislike it? ARGH......how, this is killing me. Wednesday, which means it's another 2 and a half day more to go, how am I gonna survive???
