Merry Christmas...

I was looking forward to the christmas eve dinner with my parents. Was expecting my niece and nephew to come along as well, but they had other programs.

We went to the garden hotel for buffet. It was the cheapest buffet for Christmas eve and mum had to make the booking 2 weeks in advance. Alas, I didnt take any photo of myself with the kids. Totally forgot all about it...

Do you notice riesia's hair has this black thing on it? Thats the fringe pad that I bought in the spree. It is really very very useful. It works like velcro that sticks onto yourhair. It will surely come in handy when I go and do my rebond....I've ordered another 2 pairs for mum too.

Received my wrap///

I've finally received my Obuba nursing wrap liao. Took the chance and sneak out of the hse to open the letterbox while the little one was sound asleep.

It is slightly heavier as compared to the busybaby, but is also longer, so it really provide more coverage. Sometimes when I nurse and shop around, I feel the cloth infront covering me is not sufficient and was scare that my tummy would show. BUt with this Obuba, I think it sld be okay.

Material wise, both feels the same, though I still prefer the busybaby material, like softer and lighter lor. Nonetheless, both are really nice...Cant wait to use it..

At times, she will go : "Didi, play play" and today she attempted to push the babyalive doll right to his face and asked him to play. haha..

Yesterday, she "cooked" up a storm at her kitchen playset and then "fed" Reyes some of the food that she cooked. I think she cant wait for reyes to grow up and play with her. She will hold his hand and try to pull him up to walk, so funny.

Unfortunately, she didnt notice reyes lying on the playmat yesterday and stomped over him! Aiyo....hb and me were so afraid and worried, luckily, reyes was fine. No more lying on the playmat.

Darn, my house is full of graffitti (isthis how you spell?) THanks to riesia lor. And she ruin my bumper playmat also...so upset!!!

Here's the old navy sleepsuit that I've got for reyes...this is one of the 4 designs. The 3-6 month fits him JUST NICE! I think they've got small cutting... And this is the kitchen playset that hubby bought for rie...

Updates....

Last Friday, dad dropped by to pick rie up and I was left alone with reyes. Took the opportunity to run errands and head out after lunch to TPY.

First stop to pick up my old navy stuffs which have arrived. Was abit disappointed with the quality of the material. Was expecting a softer version like what I have got for riesia. Nonetheless, just make do with it.

Then to OCBC to open the CDA account for reyes. The guy who served me very quiet and he is really tall and huge. didnt seem to have much personal touch of service also leh. Didnt feel very comfortable. I wanted to deposit the cash and so I passed him my cash, then he passed back to me saying he cannot touch my cash. haha. Then he offer to carry my haversack lor. So paisay.

By then reyes has woken up and I was trying and praying hard that he wont scream for milk or make noise. Then after that, I head to NTUC walk walk and bought the Anlene milk for mum, then to Popular to get some stuffs before I headed home.

Reyes fell asleep on the way home...Suggested to hubby to eat xiao long bao for dinner. I didnt get the chance to eat the delicious xiao long bao last Friday.

So we headed down to Qun Zhong Eating House at Neil Road. You must go there and try. Go early. And I finally get to eat the xiao long bao. Sorry ah, by the time the food came, I was so famished, I eat them all up before I remembered to take pix. So here's the only pix of the red bean pancake, which is superb to my liking.

We had the Zha Jiang Mian, Hot and Sour noodle, 2 long of xiao long bao, 1 plate of guo tie, and a bowl of rose flavoured tang yuan which is a MUST MUST try! This is my first time trying, despite this being my 4th visit. The soup is soooo sweet and the taste of the rose is sooooo nice. You just have to try it. It's $3 for 5 tang yuan, hand made too. Now as I blog, I wish I have a bowl infront of me to slurp...Then we headed down to City Hall as hubby wanted to get a casio watch. So took some night scene photos on the way from City Hall to Bugis.

4 of us woke up REALLY late on Sat, and I mean really late at 12 noon. Muahaha, all of us were so dead tired. Reyes slept a solid 6 hrs and I woke up for feeding at 650am only thru the night.

We headed out to Suntec after lunch, gotta repair my stupid darn Nokia handphone for the 3rd time. We flagged for a taxi just downstairs our house.

The taxi driver's window was wind down and I was thinking to myself "aircon break down is it", then I notice him quickly putting back his either unlighted OR lighted cigarette into the box. Then I told hubby, "he smoking leh", then hubby said "never mind". Fine, I opened the door and just before I got in, a strong stinko "aroma" literally flew of the car door and I closed the door and told the uncle, "I'm not taking your taxi" and we left!!!!

Hubby was dumb found by my action. muahahah, and I was also shocked how come I so daring to tell the uncle we are not taking his taxi wor. But I"m very proud of myself lah, coz I'm not one who normally know how to turn down lor. But I guess since I became a mother, I am more "bah" liao and will "fight" for their safety. Plus I dont want to expose them to 2nd hand smoke and reyes is still so young! Plus, if we took the smokey cab, I am sure to scold hubby upside down and come out of the cab smelling of cigarette smell when we arrive at suntec. So I made the right choice. A pat on my shoulder.

Here's a pix of rie in the ergo carrier with hubby...I managed to persuade hubby to get a xmas present for riesia. We got her a "Just Like Home" kitchen playset that is bigger and it costs $79.95 leh. That was what I wanted to get for rie, but then I couldnt carry it home, so I bought the $49.95 one lor. Waste money. Will take pix of it when we set up tomorrow...

Surprise...

I took out the ergo carrier that I bought months back from the store to just test and see if Reyes is ready to sit in it. Alas, he is still too small and I being kiam siam, did not get the infant insert you see.

BUT, riesia saw it and was so eager to let me put her in! Surprise! That's coz when we first got it, she refused to sit in it and kept pulling the MIM sarong to me instead. So I took this opportunity and let her sit in. Wah, fits just nice and she was very happy in it too!

So last night, I used it and brought her out to TPY pasar malam. It was a breeze man as compared to using the MIM sling. But then she cant face the crowd lor sitting infront of me. So poor thing. The ergo can be used onthe hips, but I have yet to try.

ON the way home, I decided to switched her to the back. It was much comfortable for me, like carrying a big heavy bag. And for her, she was happy too, coz this time she can see the front.

Hubby took her out to NTUC using the carrier too. He said many people were looking at him, guess they were not used to seeing someone using a carrier among our estate lor, coz many use pram here. will snap and photo and upload soon.

Wow!!!

I just read news that Ivy Lee is preggie with her 4th child and Evelyn Lim is also preggie with her 3rd child too!

Just early this year, when we attended the babytalk held by mediacorp, she was commenting that she hopes to have another kid and now news is out that she is 6 weeks preggie liao..They are hoping for twins, coz twins run in their family.

I thought the United square is quite ulu and nobody would go, but I was wrong! It was jam packed with parents and kids! I think this place is gonna be one of the most frequent place for me as well, since it is so near my house..

WOW!!!!

I had a plesant surprise this morning! When I opened my eyes, it was already 745am and I didnt wake up in the middle of the night for feeding at all! Reyes was so soundly asleep that he woke up only at 930am after sleeping at probably 130am! Wow wee! I had 6 solid good night sleep and I woke up very happy and alert...

Rushed to pump, wash laundry, boil water, did many many things before Reyes cried for milk. Then he went back to sleep again...I think he must be very exhausted. hee hee.How I wish every night is like that!

I'm also glad that riesia is able to fall asleep on her own liao. Sometimes she will still request to "pat pat" her back to sleep. BUt most of the time she just falls asleep herself, coz I will be craddling reyes. I gotta settle reyes to bed before can kao dim riesia lor.

Dad collected his new car last night! Wah, so excited to sit his new car leh and it is damn spacious as compared to the old Rav4! Wow wee, I totally enjoyed the ride and so did riesia! She kept saying "new car" and sat very quietly behind with me. Dad is still trying to get use to his new car, can tell. Haha..

At times the wipers would come on, at times he signal wrongly. Hee hee...Then last night, so funny, he couldnt start the car! Hahahahaha...we told him, spoilt liao ah? No battery? No oil? He also laughed, coz cannot start lor. It took a few times before the engine got up and running.

Actually hb and myself were so looking forward to a 7 seater car. But then mum said dad often goes to Mysia for golf and hence this car would be suffificent for him. Plus, we dont get to head out often already. BUT they never think IF we get maid next time, when riesia and reyes are older, how to squeeze all behind? Sigh....I hope by then hb and myself can afford a small car lor....wait till we strike 4D or Toto.

You know the bad thing about eshopping is hor, I cannot go out shopping, I shop online and keep spending money!!!! And just this morning, I"ve placed order for the Obuba Nursing Wrap liao. The girl is opening BP#5 and although hor my heart already died last week when she said she no longer organizing, my hands started to itch again!!!! And this time, I ordered the Sky Blue Paisley design..

My neighbour has ordered the Gerber Red Daisy. I like the red colour too, BUT it is another dark colour and I've already gotten myself a Chocolate wrap from Busybaby. Hence thinking of getting a light colour, so blue. I sure hope I wont regret my decision.

Well, having used for a couple of times, a dark colour nursing wrap is indeed very good.

1. When I'm bf, I makan, drink, I dont have to worry of any stains appearing.
2. Nobody seem to give a damn when you are in darker colour, as compared to really bright and striking colour. So you can bf in peace and walk around shopping still.
3. I cover the pram with the nursing wrap and my babies can sleep in "darkness"
4. No need to worry about milk stains too when bf.

But hor, dark colour means har, inside dark dark lor when u are bf. So hor, when I opened up the neckline to peep reyes, his eyes open wide wide and see coz got light. Hahaha. He's getting more and more fun and cutie to play with now. I love to "bully" him, ie, kiss him hard hard on his cheeks, tickle him and see him smile. He loves me to kiss his cheeks and then he will give me a grin. He would now turn and follow us around the house when we walk past him and coo back when we play. Aww....I wonder how did those moments pass by for riesia time.

Rompers size 3-6 are nearly too tight for him liao leh. I think the cutting of the clothings are really small. And size 6-12 are too big for him. Sigh...Reyes will be going for his first jab next Thursday. Pray.

Family day out.

Hubby is on leave today. So I'm glad to have him around for his help to feed reyes, to cook lunch for us all.

THis time, he asked to go out shopping! Muahahah, he say he's sick of staying at home for 2 days and wants to go out. But just before we leave the house, it started to pour heavily..aiyo..so we had to wait for like 15mins for the rain to stop. Rie was quite upset when we had to wait. She kept saying "gai gai". So when we finally left the hse, she was very happy about it. Was telling hb to take a bus down, but phew luckily we didnt! It started to pour very heavily again at United square.

I wanted to go united sq to purchase another 2 sleepsuit for reyes. Fox was having this 15% discount and I think is really worth purchasing the sleepsuit lor. So now he has 3 in all. Smiley. Wonder why we didnt let rie wear those the last time. Will snap a pix of reyes someday in the sleepsuit..

THen we went to meet mum for dinner at Royal Plaza at City Hall. They are in the midst of renovating. The place looks much brighter now with all the new cutlery. BUt of course, their buffet is now pricier liao lor. Today is $50 per person for the month of Dec. But with NTUC income card, you get 30% off. Food was okay. Aircon was really cold. Reyes had a good sleep there. Guess of the cold cold environment.

Okay, gotta go to bed, am tired....

Barney Live at PS

I brought rie out noon time to Plaza Singapura to watch the Barney Live Show. No regrets. It was really entertaining and although it lasted only 25mins, it was worth traveling down.

I find that it is really stupid of PS to actually rent out areas just infront of the stage! There was so little space for the public to stand around to watch the show. Left side they had this body shop promoting their items, the right side was this Ogawa. So rie and I were left squeezed just behind the Ogawa area lor. Heng our view not bad. I was smart enough this time to bring along my sarong to carry rie. That time carry her watch the seasame street ah, arms nearly break.

After the show ended, she cried and refuse to leave. Had to bluff her lor..tsk tsk..Thereafter went to carrefour grab some items and tried my luck to go trim my eyebrows. was hoping rie would be guai guai.

She was initially, UNTIL the lady who was carrying rie asked her to put her down then rie started to burst out crying and I had a hard time to coax her. End up I sat on the mini sofa with rie on my lap for my brows to be done. Sigh...Then we headed home and rie fell straight asleep once home...

Riesia is starting to speak in short sentences liao. At least now she can express herself more. She can say sentences like " didi cry", "open please". I'm trying to teach her some mandarin words like 头. But instead, she points to her toe thinking I've said "toe". Hee hee...

I was really looking forward to this afternoon as my gfs were coming to my place and I'm getting to meet KC's 2 cutie kids once a year.

This is handsome Rory with Junior. He was so fasinated by Junior and kept going to the kitchen. He's so cute, he kept saying : "rabbit's poo poo", "rabbit's drinking water", "rabbit's eating food". He was really gentle with Junior, bet he will be a very caring person next time. Girls, watch out! Here's little gabby, 16 months old with mummy KC. She's another cutie too! She looks just like a doll! She abit xian xian in this photo, coz it was time for her afternoon nap.

KC! I miss Rory's chubby cheeks and his fatty arms leh!! They are gone! Fatten him up!Ms Chiu has so nicely volunteered to head down to Orchard Canele to get some very delicious and sinful cakes for all of us! Here's the look of it. Savour the picture of it....Slurp.

I bought this cooking set for Rie as her xmas present from Toy R Us yesterday. So glad that she liked it! She has become very imaginative nowadays. When in the masterbedroom, the corner behind our bed hides "cakes" and Reye's baby cot corner hides a "water tap". So she often goes to these 2 areas to feed her Barney and Pooh Bear. This cooking set comes with this water tap which she will wash her hands. Not bad lor, at least she will wash her hands and do some cooking. Hee hee..And now, she starts to question me things about the birds and bees...When I change diapers for Reyes, she will come by and points specifically to his penis and ask me " WHAT IS THIS?"

Then after answering her, she will point to his scrotum and ask me " WHAT IS THIS?" Aiyo.

Then hb told me once while showering her, she pointed to his birdie and asked him " WHAT IS THIS". hahahaha. Well, she is growing very fast and curious.

Okay back to the gathering. We took a pix before they left. And we headed to Garden Hotel to meet up with my parents for dinner. Yes, buffet again. Nasi Lemak buffet at $18.80. Can try if you have budget.

Trip to United Square...

This afternoon, after a heaty quarrel with hb, I stormed out of the house with riesia therapy at Novena.

I feel so happy now to be able to bring riesia out shopping with me. And in fact, she can now walk quite a far distance so that I dont have to carry her. Plus she is very guai when she is alone with me. I think it reminds her of the time of only "Me and Mummy" before her little brother was born.

So anyhow, she was really excited when we arrived at the shopping center. I sh0pped for a pair of toe socks and managed to get 1. It was quite difficult to shop with riesia coz she kept running around and taking things. Luckily, there was this little girl who sat quietly on the chair and so she kept riesia companied while I quickly shop. BUt once that little girl said bye bye and left the shop, I had to run after rie coz she ran out of the shop for that jie jie..pengz..

Then, I went to grab a bread for her and we walked to United Square. I was sure there was some liveshow going on, but I cannot remember what and the time. So went there and it was the winx fairy show, at 5pm. As it was very early, I shopped around. Fox was having this 15% discount for UOB cardholders. Not easy to shop leh!!! Riesia was so attracted to the THomas the Train kiddy ride and kept running out! I had to keep one eye on her and shop with the other. So worried she got knocked by the other kids and she did got knock lor. Came running to me saying : "Bang! Bang!" as in that big kor kor banged into her. BUt hey, at least she remembers where I was standing in the shop leh instead of running all over to find me.

I got this pj with leggings for Reyes at 15% off. I just had to buy something lah. Wanted to get a nice dress for rie, but I thought so many clothes at home for her liao, so just dropped the idea. (hey, I'm not bias okay)

Then we went upstairs to the learning lab level to wait for the fairy show. And I saw they had display of 4 rabbits caged up in this glass house, seems so poor thing leh..They actually filmed and was showing how the rabbits grew since 2002. Imagine being caged up in there since 2002???? And there was no hay at all!!! I wonder if HRSS knows abt this or not. Darn, should have taken a pix of it and send to my friend. Feel so sad for the rabbits.

Mum told me that her back one of the soft tissue has wear out and hence her spine bone is not inplaced well and that was what causing her backache...I'm so sad to hear this! And it seems like cannot be cured. The doctor adviced her not to carry heavy items and that includes her grandchildren leh..And riesia wants her to carry..but now cannot liao. haiz....next week she is going for further checkup.

Selling away my rabbit cage...

Sad day yet again...

Today is the last episode of this Taiwan show showing on Channel U. We decided to skip it to head for buffet at Inter Continental. Dont know if we made the right choice or not.

Reached home around 1040am and found out Minty has passed on. (that's why I said I wonder if it is a right choice to have went out). She has fallen sick ever since Bowie passed on in September. I'm not sure if it is a disease spread from Bunny to Bowie to Minty, but they all seem to pass on with the same illness. Junior who is staying separate from them since young is still strong, active and happily skipping in the living room today. Thats why it made me wonder.

So sad for Minty. She has been suffering for the past 2 months +. And just few days back, her front legs got weaken and became splayed legs. I had to hand feed her slowly and helped her to drink water. She was still eating well, ate lots of vegetables, hay etc. She also poo-ed and pee-ed well too! Thats the funny thing lor, why they would just be as per norm one minute, then suddenly just passed on. I'm very sad deep down, but I know she is better to be on the other side of the rainbow bridge than to suffer.

I think she suffered enough and is time for her to join her mummy Bunny and brother Bowie and friend Mian Mian. Goodbye Minty, I always loved you.

This afternoon, we finally made the trip down to Julia Gabriels after much hesistation and we managed to get a slot for Riesia to start her lesson in Jan. Lets see how the 10 weeks lesson go. I hope she will enjoy the class.

Mandarin Lessons...

Been trying to include some mandarin words to rie..

she now understands and can say : 不要。没有 and from 1 to 10.

Today she surprised me. I was bottle feeding reyes and the bottle cap dropped onto the floor. I reckon it must be under the bed, so I asked rie to help me pick it up.

She bend down and then said "没有" "没有". Haha, I couldnt help laughing lor. I was expecting her to say her usual " no no".

That day in the car, dad asked rie if she wants to go buffet with us. She replied " 不要" while shaking her head...tsk tsk.

She has been a great helper at home. (provided she in good mood). For example, I forgot to take reyes bath towel with me and only realised it after I'm done with him. I then shouted for rie to help me grab the bath towel. Although she grabbed my bath towel instead, I was happy to have a towel lah. Didnt want to walk out with reyes all drenched.

Then the other day, I ran out of diapers in the room. The remaining diapers were in the living room and I asked rie for help again. She happily ran to the living room and came back with 1 diaper! I was just happy that she understands what my instructions were.

Just now, I craddled her to bed. It's been a long time since I craddled her since I stopped bf. And my oh my, she has really grown so big now and heavy. Her face so big also and her feet are already out of my arms....They really grow so fast. And I'm telling myself to savour every moment with Reyes now coz God knows when and if I would have a 3rd child.

Diapers upgrade...

It's only 6 weeks and Reyes has upgraded from newborn diapers to S size liao! So fast right? Heng we left only few pieces of Mamy Poko Newborn.

Hubby bought S size petpet and mamy poko today and I thought just test test try and it fitted reyes's butt nicely! We tried to weigh him today too. IF our weighing machine is accurate, then he is about 5kg liao...

Today I was quite frustrated with him. I tried my best not to lose my temper. He refused bottle feed for his afternoon milk. So I tried again in the evening, still refuse. Im not sure what happened, coz he still happily drank from bottle after his morning bath.

After watching the 7pm show, I took rie to NTUC for a walk, leaving hb with reyes at home. Just went I reached NTUC not long, hb called to ask what time I'm going back and that reyes has been crying for the past 1 hr. (he blow cow one, where got 1 hr)

So I hurriedly buy my things and rushed home to discover Reyes has fallen asleep from crying and the bottle of milk was left untouched. So I packed up and then waited for him to wake up. He cried again, I tried the bottle, he refused. I gave in to latching. Then halfway thru, i just shoved the bottle into his mouth and voila!!!! Not easy really. I think he is a little confused with the bottle teats and my nipple. Sigh....I hope tomorrow is another good day.

Christmas...

I love end of the year, the month of December, where the Christmas spirit is everywhere...So romantic, so cooling, so nice.


Went to Carlton Hotel for buffet with mum and dad. This time without hb and I've to cope with 2 kids, not easy.

Pix of Reyes taken... After reading moonlight's blog, I realise that there is indeed a 1 month check up to be done in the health booklet! It states 4 to 6 weeks.. and now reyes is already 6 weeks old and I didnt bring him for any check up yet. Opps....

Anyhow, to save $$, we decided to bring Reyes for his 1 month check up on 18th Dec when he will be taking his jab 6 in 1 at the GP. Now is his turn for jabs to be done.....

I am so disappointed leh.

Last night, I joined in old navy spree, which has this 20% on going. Wanted to shop during midnight, then halfway thru, the website down for maintenance.

Not going to give it a miss, I woke up at 530am, bf reyes, then proceed to shop online. Got my orders in and then just now checked the thread...darn! The order is not placed in time as the website went blank when the organiser tried to make payment. This is sooooo dui leh.

I had 2 choices of organisers and I should have stuck to the first one lah. Shit man. She had 2 batches of orders all in time for the 20% leh...Bloody hell. So now, I've gotta either proceed ahead without the 20%, or wait for discount again and drop all my orders.

I would probably proceed ahead but then drop some of the items and shop another time round. Need to get those sleepsuits for reyes soon before they run out of stock.

Then, I itchy hand went surfing around the bulk purchase thread and saw the nursing wrap that I fell in love with! The brand is call Obuba nursing wrap and the girl is selling off her ready stock and is not intending to bring in anymore!!! WTH leh and she is left with only pink. I want blue...sob sob..no luck. I guess I would wait to see if any others is gonna organize a spree, then I join in. Save some money as well lah, since I have the busybaby wrap on hand.

Dad came to fetch rie this afternoon after lunch. Part of me is so tempted to just grab reyes out to shop, but I dont know where to shop. Well, its xmas right....so I thought of getting pressies for my kids..

I went to robinsons, fall in love with a simple one, but that costs me $33.90 leh. Althought got 20% off, I cant bear to buy. Plus it has this booties attached, which I think is good, but Reyes will outgrow very soon lor. So thinking if I should buy like the old navy type...

Hb has received a big ang bao reward from his coy for his good effort. At least the coy recognize his effort and is still willing to give him despite resigning in 2 weeks time. Thought would get a nice xmas gift for myself, but then he said he will use this sum of money to order his wedding band. Yes, we cant find his wedding band, I think it is gone forever..so sad...
