Sick...

Seems like so many pp are sick nowadays. Perhaps due to the bad weather.

The weather was SOOOOOO hot in the afternoon and especially yesterday that I took 4 showers to cool myself down. And was glad it rained today.

But then, now I got myself sick..Started with a sore throat and running nose and now cough is developing..sigh. Sob sob....R&R are sure to fall sick too with such close contact to me. boo hoo...

Sibling rivalry...

Yes, it is starting to show liao...

Sometimes, rie can be such a good sister. Singing songs to her little brother, playing toys with him, helping him to get his toys up, talking to him. BUT....there are times when he just drives her up the wall too.

Rie watches telly on her own in her mini stroller. Here comes reyes pulling her ponytail and pissed her off.

This afternoon, while showering with the door opened (bo bian okay, with 2 kids), reyes was crying his lungs out and riesia started to lecture him.

"Mama bath, wait wait. Stop crying." For a moment, he stopped and started to wail again.

Then just as I was washing off the shampoo, reyes cried out loud as if in pain! Siao liao lor, I thought rie bit his fingers again, but no. The thing is when I ask riesia what she did to reyes, she will tell me. And she actually pinched his cheeks till so red..Gosh lor. Hurriedly cut short my shower and rushed out liao..Sigh....

This evening, hb told me that rie pulled reyes miserable hair..haiz...

And riesia favourite sentence is now : Mama (papa) work, earn money, buy sweet sweet for riesia...

And she is smart to change her name to reyes at times when he is crying and she will coax him not to cry. hahaha...

It was really an enjoyable afternoon, hid away from the hot hot sun and the aircon was so powerful, so cooling...breeze...

It was our first time outing without reyes and I love having 100% attention on her together with hb. When will it be the next time?

Meanwhile, reyes nap from 3-530pm in the aircon room, half naked. Mum covered him with blanket and he actually kicked it away. haha, same like his sister. tsk tsk.

I cant believe it that I actually am able to get up at 8am and head out of the house at 840am and join the long long Q at 858am!!!



Hb still asked me if it is really worth going down or not. Well I need to get bottles and also the plc lights for my living room, so might as well just go and see lah. I wont take long, I promised to be back home by 1030am..hee hee.



Wah, what a crowd lor. I think I seem to be the only person to be alone! The rest were in couples, friends, siblings, parents. Headed to avent counter and joined the Q. I spent 40mins waiting for my turn leh, KNS right? Coz the couple infront har, cant decide what to buy and take their own sweet time. Hell. The guy infront of me, heng, he just Q-ed to enquire and left after 3 mins. But my turn was cut short by this other guy beside him. Damn. I finally made my purchase, paid cash, coz you can collect on the spot and left to the light bulb section.



I didnt even have time to walk around to take a look what other offers they have! Sigh...might as well lah, spend less too.



So I walked off with 10 plc lights, 4 330ml bottles, 2 teats, 2 260ml bottles and 1 bottle brush.

I was glad that dad was able to help me bbsit riesia. Been dying to head out of the house in the afternoon with reyes, need to run some errands..

So this afternoon, what a hot hot sunny day. I arrived at TPY and headed to the pawnshop. This is my first time stepping into the pawnshop. No, I am not desperate for money. But I am actually pawning a ring which I had with my ex way back. We bought a pair of rings at Lee Hwa on impulse and it has been with me since then. I think it is a curse, coz hb and myself have been quarreling on and off.

I did mention to hb before that i wanna pawn, but then reckon it might be worthless, so end up I didnt. Until now. I decided to try my luck. First stop, they quoted me $60. Interest is $0.90 per mth for 6 mths sld I want to get back. $60? Thought it was too little, as the original price of the ring was $228.

Hopped to another pawnshop. The uncle inspected and said that there were engravings done, so at most is only $50. Then later, the lady owner came and inspect, then blah blah duno what and then said they are not able to accept it, coz it already has engravings done. Abit pissed off with them lah. KNS.

Then to another pawnshop. This one worst! He said it is 18K gold, and at most is $45. And they always say : 要吗？Thought it was so funny. Of course no way lah! Yours is the lowest price leh.

There is another upcoming pawnshop next to the bakery, but then I thought dun want to wait till they are opened. Scarly by then, the first pawnshop decides to lower the price then how.

And so, I made a big round back to the first shop lor. Looked for the lady. She explained to me that if after 6 mths I didnt redeem back, I can renew with them for another 6 mths with the interest.

And I asked how much she would offer sld I want to sell. Is just another $10 nia. Dumb me. Sld have tried the soft tactic to ask if can offer another $10 more. Stupid me. The uncle next to her then said I should pawn first, then If I want to sell, come back in 6 mths time. But then, will they still quote me $70 by then? I wont know and I think I dont want to keep this ring with me anymore, so there goes. Sold at $70.

The ring is innocent, but then it reminded me too much of unhappiness.

I had also splurge on acuvue contact lenses. been such a long time since I wore them. Bought it at the GSS price of $97 for 2 boxes of acuvue moist. Now that reyes knows how to snatch my glasses, with lenses, voila.

Came back with a dead tired reyes for 1 hr before heading out to Chinatown for dinner, xiao long bao..yummy yummy...

Ended the day at Starbucks, Capital Towers and met up with Moonlight who looked so refreshed from her Japan holiday. hee hee.

Happy ROM anniversary...

For the past few days, hb has been asking me exactly what date is our ROM day. KNS right?

I think he knows, but he purposedly ask. Mum kept thinking it was 18th May and called to ask if I was going out for dinner.

Then yesterday, hb came home after visiting one of his gf who just gave birth to a bb girl. Bb girl weighs 3.7kg and is 55cm. Overdue EDD.

And as usual, he stepped in and asked when is our ROM day, I told him already past. Then he went to the room, and checked our ROM cert! KNS $%^&* and said is tomorrow, ie today.

But then I'm working and so he cant bring me out for dinner. Rebuked back, there is always a Friday right?? Sigh...

And this morning, I was greeted by his sms Happy ROM anni. This is the first time for the past 4 years that he sms me first. And lazy me lah, didnt sms him back. muahaha. I'm hoping for a good dinner at Hilton Hotel for their japanese buffet. The last time I was there was with riesia. I'm hoping to go with reyes this time and enjoy my good meal. Gonna eat up the salmon..yum yum!

ARGH!!!!

Hb kept trying to persuade me to sell away the tickets to the LIttle big club, which I am refusing to!!!

He said it is too tight a schedule for us to rush to the wedding dinner, but I told him, they would probably commence at 8pm, and the show is ending at 630pm, so we still got time mah right? Yeah, is a little tight, but I refuse to give up!

I booked the tickets way early when I saw the advertisement on Okto and got a really good seat, first row somemore. I'm not giving up like that and plus, I think rie is looking fwd to it too, coz each time the commercial shows on telly, she kept asking me to bring her to watch.

I'm keeping fingers crossed that we will not quarrel on that hectic day. And I dread the next day after 6th June. Rie and I gotta get up real early to go shichida. Damn.

Busy busy weekend!!

Upcoming this week onwards, I will be busy busy every weekend liao...
This weekend, Sat, we will be attending an event organised by Mediacorp - Bonding with your child at Meritus mandarin.

This time round, we will be bringing R&R along, coz the organizer said there are activities for them. I am now thinking how to survive that whole afternoon! The organizer also lah, sld think mah, start maybe later say 2pm. They stated registration from 1230-130pm. That is lunch time for us adults and plus the kids leh?

So I am thinking, maybe i bo bian, reach there at 115pm lor. Then the whole event is gonna last till 5pm leh. The kids afternoon nap how? I am thinking how to survive with riesia man. I sure hope she will not throw tantrum and hopefully will take her afternoon nap in the pram.

Coz after that, we will need to rush down to Julia Gabriel for her lesson. Late. They start the class at 430pm. I got a feeling hb will ask us to miss that lesson....

Then, the next Sunday, it will be my weekend! I'm gg to attend AK's concert with hb..woo hoo! I have yet to inform mum and keeping finger crossed that she will be able to help me bbsit R&R, otherwise, 1 R will be at mum, the other R will be at MIL place. To pick both of them up after the concert is another challenge..sigh.

Then, the following following Sat, 6th of June, it will be a busy busy big day.
My cousin is getting married on that day. There will be a church wedding in the morning, proceeding with the tea ceremony at Grand Plaza Hotel with lunch buffet.

Then after that, we have to rush home for R&R to catch their nap before heading out to Expo to watch The LIttle Big Club at 5pm. Sigh...I cant change the date, coz I book the tickets way way ahead liao and IF they had inform me about the wedding date earlier,then maybe still got chance to change, but now cant.

So, the show is about 1.5hrs, ending at 630pm, then now the problem. Sld I rush back home or to mum's place to dress up R&R and myself, then we will head together to the hotel again for dinner, OR just head straight to the hotel from Expo? If is the 2nd choice, then I gotta ask mum to bring riesias dress dwn to the hotel. Then that means we all have to dress up so nice to go to Expo???? Mmm....I would prefer the 1st choice, to head to mums place before gg to hotel leh.

Then, I wanna do my hair leh. So another problem. I wonder if there is enough time for me to head out after patting the kids for nap to do my hair to and fro? Hb will sure scream big time for wasting money. Argh....

OR another choice is, to head back to mums place after the lunch buffet and stay there until we head to expo for the show. So, I can just pop by the hair salon downstairs and do my hair. But I worry the kids will refuse to take their nap at mums place! Plus, I need to express also and have to bring so many barangs along. Big headache...

In all, I am so looking fwd to Ak concert and hope I will enjoy it. Gotta start standby the digi cam liao.

Lazy...

Been tired lately and just dont have the mood to blog.

Riesia has been sprouting lots of new words recently and I'm amazed.
Told her to help me hang up my bra on the door handle. She was really helpful to try, but came running back shouting " TOO HIGH!"

Reyes was crying on and off and riesia, sick of his cryings, covered her eyes and shouted back " STOP CRYING didi." It worked. For a min. Coz reyes stopped, stared at her with his watery eyes and then proceeded to do an encore. Haha..

And what did riesia say? "OH No, Not again. Didi's crying."

muahahaha..And so, this little brother does drive his sister up the wall sometimes.

And riesia has finally managed to sing the full song of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star..Hurray!!! This was the only song that I kept singing to her when I was pregnant with her and when she was borned till now.

She loves to imitate us adult, especially me! I often sing to her and reyes this lullaby I came up on my own :
"LIttle riesia/reyes want to sleep. Want to Sleep. Want to Sleep.
Little riesia /reyes want to sleep, want to...Sleep sleep sleep."
And last night, while watching the amazing race (hurray to tammy and victor!) and swaying reyes for his nap, riesia went to grab my teddy bear(shirley calls it the leparasy(S) bear) and started to sway and sing too!!!

Abit off tune lah, but still I can understand what she is singing..
"Bear bear want to sleep, want to sleep. Bear bear want to sleep, want to sleep sleep sleep." ahahahahahah....And she can really sway like real. So funny lor. I think she will make a good mother next time.

BUT...here's the problem. She hates the smell of poo poo..Yeah, she cannot stand her own poo poo smell and reyes's poo poo too! Just like her father...tsk tsk.

As for reyes...sigh, he's getting clever as days goes by. When he chews on something he's not suppose to do it and I snatch it away from him, he yells and cry and throws tantrum.
When I tell him hes done for his bath/water play time, he cries...Is so hard to get him out of the bath tub now that he loves to splash water and play with water..

And yes, did I mention? Oh yes I did. Reyes is taking to his meals very happily and readily! I'm so glad and am very happy whenever he finished 1 cup of porridge. Yum yum. He's putting on more weight now and seems rounder...hee hee.

Alrighty, gg to bed for now. Having bad headache.

Bath time!!!

It was so humid in the day, so I let R&R soak in the bathtub.. And reyes is learning to appreciate his bathing time! His favourite activity? Splashing and getting mummy and daddy all wet....

And today, he is such a good boy! He finally finished up his lunch without picking up a battle with me!!! I was so happy with him. This is the first time ever man since he started solids. I hope he continues to be that good during meal time.

Heck lah. I'm gg to be a selfish mum, well, for the sake of my idol

Since my parents are not very keen to bbsit both kids, I will leave riesia with my parents and then reyes at my MIL place and have informed SIl to stand by at home that day.

I would probably leave reyes for about 4 hrs at most, and I pray and hope that 4 hrs, he will be in good hands. Sigh...Is the first time I'm gonna leave him wide awake at mil place. Duno if he will miss us or not....

Kept telling myself or rather convincing myself , is only 4 hrs!!!!!
