Been awhile since I last updated...
Last night, hubby managed to sneak off at 530 from work
(coz boss not around) and he suggested to head for buffet. The last time we had buffet was before new year after my parents came back from their Genting trip. It was hilarious when mum shared with us about dad's happening.
anyway, we headed to Grand Copthorne for their International buffet. DBS was having a promotion 1 for 1 at $44+++ per head. It came up to about $25 per person only and it was really worth it. I targetted the salmon of course and the mee rubus seedap. The chef suggested to us to add the potato croque into the sauce and it was really nice and yummy. He was very friendly and even strike a converstaion with mum. We got to know he's only age 43 and his 2 kids are already out in the work office with DBS and OCBC banks. And his grand mother is still around, 80+ and his mum is 60+ only. How envy right? He looked like he's in his 30s only and hb and dad were so shocked to learn that he has 2 grown up kids liao.
We also spoke to this Chinese waiter from China. He's working part time to support himself.
Looks not bad He spoke very fluent English and I'm impressed. He said he's studying ACCA at FTC and works as a waiter for 5 days after school. Often knock off at 1130 or even 2am in the morning. He leaves the impression to me that he is very very hardworking and willing to 吃苦. It's not easy to find such a guy in Singapore liao leh. He reminded me of my Shanghai long long friend, Xu Hua. He has gotten himself a pretty wife and is expecting a baby girl this year soon. I sure do hope we can meet up one day again. He is a very very good and honest guy. I'm happy for him. Perhaps I should send a parcel to him for his baby girl...hmmmm...

Been feeling so guilty...Rie had minor accidents and it hurts me to see her in tears each time...The day before she had her heels kiap at the walker behind and yell away. By the time I rescue her, a little bit of her delicate skin was hurt... Bleed lor, it was very painful for her, coz when I applied the yellow solution, she started crying again. So I put a plaster for her. Now those tiny plasters do come in handy.
Then yesterday, haiz, this one my fault lah. After her bath, I always have to coax her to stay still lying down so that I can wear her diapers. She held onto this small bottle and started to put into her mouth and then when she pulled out, the lid cut her upper part inside. She didnt cry immediately, about 3 seconds later, wah, tears flow like mad and I can see it was bleeding quite badly inside...Cham lor....Wah liao, I dont know what to do leh, she just wouldnt open up her mouth for me to see. So I applied some sugar to calm her down. It worked for awhile. Then when I carried her back to the bedroom, she cried again, so out of the room I went.
Is not easy leh to be a SAHM. I have to go and start reading up on what to do in the event your child.....I keep having nightmares of say the chopper in the kitchen just fall from the table top and hurt her, or she gets scalded by hot water in the kitchen etc. So Kitchen = OUT OF BOUND for her.
I had pleasant dreams too. Once I dreamt Rie had a VERY huge tooth growing out and we didnt know until one day. We got so excited and even snapped a photo of it. The other time, I dreamt I held her little right hand and she started to walk with me. It was so sweet. I wonder when will the time come.
She can be very comical and tries to be funny. She has learnt another new term - 据手(not sure if this is correct) but it means to lift up your hand and she will lift up her right hand up in the air. Very funny one. hahahah...We use this term when i need to get her to lift her hand so that I can undress her tee. At times, we purposedly say 据手, then she will lift her right hand. Trial and error one, coz sometimes she just bo chap you.
And she has learnt how to hide things up! I dont know why and how she knows. In between our bed and curtain, there is a tiny gap. But this gap isnt very obvious but somehow she knows there is a gap. Darn. So she would crawl and grab a flashcard, a book and even her pillow...crawl over me and then put her hand in the gap and let go! And she does this with a very very cheeky smile as if she has accomplished something big. Wah piangz. This can go on and on and on. And yesterday, I found the flashcard Number 2 underneath together with her pillow. You see lah. Haiz..I didnt even know it was there, until I went to look.
It reminds me of my gf's son, who used to hide things at one period of time too. He even hid it in the toilet bowl, so funny. I managed to search for the post...Look under " Mischievous Boy! "
Check it out here... (Jan, hope you dont mind...)
