School....
This whole week doesnt seem good for rie. I dont know what's happening seriously. When I send her to the hall on Monday, she was alright, looking occasionally behind to peep at me as I was also curious whats going on during assembly.
Then out of a sudden, during prayer, rie turned around, shook her head and was cringing. And she started to tear! Thankfully her chinese teacher saw her and carried her to sit on her lap to calm her down. I then decide, perhaps is best for me to leave...
That night, during our bedtime talk, rie started to say : I dont want to go school. I'm scare of the black witch.
Black witch? I asked and prompt for more hints, but nothing came out, except that she kept saying she is afraid of the black witch. Tuesday came and this time, she refused to hold an Indian teacher's hand when she greeted her at the hall entrance. She cringed again and SIL saw her and held her and distracted her attention. I spoke to the teacher in charge and told her about the " black witch".
Came wed, dad offered to send her to school after I decline his offer on Tuesday. Told him what happen and he said he will take note. I didnt feel assured abt rie, so I took the public transport with reyes to school and peep at her. Dad said rie refused to enter the hall when the indian teacher wanted to hold her hand. So another chinese teacher came along to hold her and she went in. Haiz...So I spoke to the teacher again and said maybe she is afraid of Indians, so maybe the black witch refers to her?
This morning, rie again said I dont want to go to school first thing in the morning. Sigh. It's not a good sign. She refused to enter the hall. At the corridor, when the same Indian teacher greeted her, she cowed behind me and refused to greet until I had to repeatedly tell her to do so. Thankfully SIL was around and brought her into the hall to the Chinese teacher. She loves her chinese teacher and I was glad she has someone to look to when she is upset in school.
The teacher told me she tried to find out from rie yesterday and rie said there was a monster in school. But when the teacher asked where is the monster, she said rie laughed. So they concluded that rie is very smart, and full of imagination now. She actually performs well during class and is very responsive. So I guess I'm perhaps over anxious abt rie. It's only the parting part where she gets upset. I think she doesnt like being confined in the hall. they used to gather the kids in the big classroom where she gets to play toys, but not anymore.
I managed to peep at her while they were at the playground. A girl came along and tried to snatch her cup as she was pouring sand. I wished I was there. But thankfully rie stood firm and held her cup tightly.
==============================================================
Now that I have more time with reyes, this week is a fun week. On Monday, I decided to skip home and headed to TPY to shop with reyes. It tired him out and so was I, but he was happy running at kiddy palace. Most importantly, airconditioned!
On wednesday, I ventured out again. I feel that I"m happier outside with time well spent rather than heading home and cooping up at home till rie is back. Having no where to go, I brought him to the library to enjoy the aircon and for him to develop some loves in books. Wah, he was so happy and excited over the books and he likes me reading to him. BUt har, he is only interested in vehicles books leh. Sigh....
I also achieved feeding him a quick lunch at the foodcourt while asking this kind lady to watch over my items while I rushed to get food to share with him. Was so worried he will refuse to sit in the babychair or create a din, but he didnt.
He is very adorable now and fun to play with. Sometimes when I ask him where is his car or what is this in books and he doesnt know the answer, he will say " dono" with his palms facing upwards. The first time I heard him, I thought I heard wrongly. But that's really what he said. Haha. Dont know to bang wall or not sometimes.
I'm trying to toilet train him now, but is not easy. He will say "shee shee" when he ALREADY pees or pupu. And when he farts, haha, he will laugh and say " fart". So funny. There was once rie came home seeing a mess of the living room and said" Oh man." and reyes repeated her. I think with rie around, he certainly picks up words faster as compared to when rie was alone with me.
Now that reyes is past 16 months, I'm thinking back when rie was 16 mths, I was in my 3rd trimester with nowhere to head out as I couldnt carry rie. And now that I can enjoy this moment with reyes, it's really wonderful, not cooping up at home and spending some quality time outside. I"m hoping to bring him to gymboree one day or some nearby gym. But with just 3 hrs, it's really a rush for time..sigh...

Twice in a row, we are found at ECP.

It's so hard to see myself in photos, coz I'm always the one trying to take pix of the kids. It's so hard persuading the man to help me take photos with the kids and he always take lousy photos.
Not a great shot, but I thought it's meaningful.

Sigh..looking at the photo above, I find that he doesnt seem to resemble me abit, except for blood type.
And reyes all decked out in the blue outfit that I bought from united square. Thumbs up for the good material and price. I was hesistating to purchase off the net from some spree, but then luckily chanced upon the stall at united square. I love it!
Trying my hands on getting an artistic shot from the side mirror..Failed miserably.
And yeah, reyes has got an "upgrade" from economy class to first class. And he's really happy about it in fact! Some days, he can sit quietly throughout the journey. But other days, he monkeys around and decides economy class is better with 2 babes. Rie and me lah!
Monkeying around at MIL's place. I hate it the most when I dont know how to configure my camera to capture the kid's fast speed of moving. I love this shot, but look. I ruined it.
Everyone's been telling me to trim reyes hair, but I refuse! And his hair is still not "falling" down after a year plus leh. I remembered rie took few months before her hair started to fall down too.
BIL is always never around during CNY. Ever since he returned from Sweden, he is always absent for reunion dinner and the CNY. I give up keeping track of where he goes to every CNY. He's just avoiding all the KPOs aunties who comes visiting.
I guess kids these days are all crazy over DS. Is that what they call it? I feel so old now. Everyone owns one and I'm surprised my bro would actually buy for his kids. I told myself I will not get for my kids, but let's just see how long my words will stay true.
The 2 girls, ever so close like sister now.
---Poor hb did spring cleaning the night before until 4am. And I was woken up by his loud scrubbing of the toilet floor tiles at 3am okay. $^%&%*. I bet the other neighbours were cursing and swearing too....jpg)
