I'm 35 weeks....

Is another new week for me. I'm starting to feel heavier and my back hurts like xiao in the night when I'm sleeping. I complained to hubby yesterday that my back is breaking...act pitiful, then he kindly helped me to massage...But har, his power har, is so strong, so pain leh. Gotta tell him gently gently. I think is only now that he puts in much more effort to care about me, as compared to my 1st and 2nd trimester. Coz I didnt complain much during the first 6 months, is only now that I'm grumbling every now and then.

He also trys his best to restrict me from walking too much. We used to walk alot to save money if we can walk a few busstops to get home. But now, I still can manage to walk, just that I've to walk slowly because my pelvis bone area aches when I walk too fast. And I find that I'm starting to walk very awkwardly too! Like a duck, waddle waddle. hahah. I thought it looks so ugly, so I walk slowly and properly. hee hee.

My maternity jeans that I bought when I was 4 months preggie is getting tighter as well. And when darling bb does her stunts, it does feels uncomfortable lor, so I gotta tell her be a guai guai bb.

I have thoughts to propose to my supervisor to allow me work from home starting from the Chinese New Year period, 21st feb to 28th Feb. I'l be officially on leave on 1st March and am thinking by the time during CNY, I would be 38 weeks leh. And gonna anticipate when my waterbag will burst and also to travel to work. Wonder if boss will allow not...I really dont want to end up in the situation where my waterbag burst on the way to work on train, bus or busstop! Or even in the office. It's gonna be damn embarassing.

This morning, I stood at the doorway of the MRT, until the train reaches Chinatown, and this lady tapped my shoulder, showing me an empty seat. There was another pregnant Indian lady that board the train at Dhoby Ghaut. No one offer us seats either. Is a typical scenario. Throughout my pregnancy, I can practically count with my fingers and toes the number of times the public offer seats to me. Is sad to know as compared to Taiwan, where the public offer their seat to elderlys and pregnant ladies. Hubby is someone who never fails to offer his seats to those who need. He has a kind heart. That's also his weak point, where he gets cheated easily too. So I'm there to be the devil. hee hee...

I cant wait for this Friday, where it might just be the last chance for hubby and me to spend our 2 person world together before the arrival of bb.....

Yesterday I met one of my customer at my void deck. It was so sad to hear her story. She had a miscarriage at week 20 and was carrying twins. Twins okay. It was unfortunate that her water bag burst at week 20 and then it infected her womb and hence the tough decision to induce and end the pregnancy. So upsetting. I felt so sad for her and reminded me of my own miscarriage too. Like she said, one wont understand what it feels to have a miscarriage until you yourself experience it. True, I totally agree with her on this. She is strong, and she knows she has to move on. I told her to rest and build up her health before trying again. I wish God will look after her. SIL told us that miscarriage is a way of God wanting our child to be with him. In any case, God has bless us with another precious child and we are eager to meet this child of KJ soon.

Monday again....

I didnt sleep well last night. My whole back was aching like mad and I just kept turning left, right, and tried sleeping on my back and it didnt help. Argh...I feel that the bed has sink in at the place where I'm sleeping and so I tried to squeeze over to hubby's side...He didnt have much space to turn and was grumbling in his sleep. hahahaha...shhhhhh...

I finally managed to convince hubby to go to Beach Road to get his deuter bag after months and months of nagging. We eyed upon this Spider design that costs $89. After discount, it cost us $66. Hubby felt abit heartpain to pay so much as his budget is only $50..But then I tried to console him that this bag will be used for long term, so it would be a worth investment....

Then we drop by MGL to collect our day curtain for bb's room. Haha, after 1 year, we decided to do up the day curtain. At least now they have more designs to choose from rather than just the typical plain white. Our white day curtain has started to darken and become slightly yellowish.

Yesterday, we also took out all the baby's clothing to wash and dry them up. Quite a bunch to wash leh, aiyo....And then I have yet to pack my bag as well. Friends around me have already packed their bags, and me? I've yet to get the maternity pads, disposable panties and a button top leh...cham cham. must hurry liao.

The weekend

Yesterday hubby and me attended his sister's baptism at Touch Community Center at Bukit Merah after work. She has been a Christian for years but yet to be baptise and decided to do it this year.

When I stepped into the auditorium, there was a group of band, with 3 singers - a guy and 2 girls singing songs away, damn loudly. I couldnt stand the loud music. It was more like noise to me than music. There were also many many youths, teenagers and some adults, more like the parents of their child who is going to be baptise that day. I didnt like the environment. It was really a total different from a Catholic baptism, held in a Church with the father and we sing gently and sweetly.

The 3 singers were shouting away and the guy, Jason kept shouting "Alleluia" and "amen" at every sentence he said. Aiyo, cannot stand it leh. Then not long the pastor came along and welcome all of us blah blah blah and asked us to stand up to join in the song singing. I couldnt be bothered, I was tired and I just sat down while hubby joined in.

Then those who are going to be baptised were invited on stage to say why they decided to follow Jesus. After that, they proceeded to the 2nd level, where there was this glass display of pool for their baptism. I'm really surprised that that's how they are going to be baptised! To be dip into the pool of water with 2 person holding on to them. See the photo below, that's the pool and then the 3 of them are posing in the pool...

Then the middle person is suppose to hold her breathe by pinching her nose and then down into the pool to get baptised. This is such a different scene as compared to Catholic where I see the father blessing the person and then sprinkle holy water on the forehead. There was no father around to bless them, only the pastor. and the pastor was on the stage the whole time, guiding us to sing along. I dont know, but I dont see how by dipping yourself in a pool of water means you are being baptised. And moreover, not in a church.

I just couldnt wait to get out of there. The pastor went on and on, and I was asking hubby if he's in the marketing line. Thank God, hubby decided to leave at 9 pm to rush home to catch his War & Beauty show. Phew.
====================================
This morning, woke up early to head down to my gynae for checkup. I am eager to find out what's the weight of bb after 3 weeks. I have been drinking lots of milk since my last appointment on 6th after hearing that bb's weight is only 1.4-1.5kg. Tot I should beef her up more. And surprise surprise, today she is at 2.4kg. I'm so happy! She put on 1 kg within the short span of time. Dr Chong said this is normal for bb to put on more weight during the last 2 months, 1 kg per month. I'm keeping fingers crossed that she will hit 3 kg or more when I deliver.

One of our Japanese colleague delivered last Thursday, 46 cm and 3145gm, baby girl. She has a small tummy, just slightly bigger than mine and wow, her bb weight over 3kg. That's amazing har. Today at the clinic, I was talking to this lady who was waiting for her turn. She asked me if I'm due end of the year! I was like erm..I'm due 5 weeks time and well, as expected, she said, but your tummy's quite small har. Gee...What to say right? Size doesnt = expected due, neither does it = size of bb.

Oh well...I'm just glad that bb's doing fine and healthy. We wanted to see her face today, but then, no chance.. Dr Chong said bb has not engaged yet, probably will engage during my 37th Week...which is somewhere during Valentine's day.

At times hubby say that my tummy is like a ball, cute cute. At times, he would comment that my belly button has disappeared, or pop out like a small flower. hee hee. At night when he talks to bb, at times I just want to laugh at the way he talks to her. He would go something like this :

Papa : baby baby, papa here. How are you today? Today is XXXX day, and the time now is XX:XX.

Then he would continue telling baby where we went today, what did we do, what did mummy have for lunch/dinner. Then if he is watching his show, he would just end abruptly like

Papa: okay, papa going to watch tv now. Papa and mama love you. muacks muacks.

haha. Then I would tell baby, see lah, your papa always watch tv...

We did our preadmission after visiting Dr Chong. Was abit sad that I cannot change hubby's mind to take single bedded room. The visiting hours is 9 to 9pm that means he has to leave at 9pm. I told him, so early, what am I going to do alone in the room? How sad right. This would be my very very first time to stay out alone, sleeping alone in a room with a stranger. What if there is no one beside me??? I'l be all alone in the room leh...how...sob sob...

It's Friday baby...

Finally, it's Friday. I am hoping to nua today at work, who knows the minute I stepped into office and yet to even put my bag into drawer, the girl started to bombard me with questions liao. Argh....

Yesteday teach her until I want to vomit blood also. She is hardworking, willing to learn and keep her notes damn neat. But then, if she doesnt read her notes to do, it's going to be hard for her and me too. I'm worried about her doing my recon, wonder if she is able to cope with 10 recons....

Alas...I am someone who worries about my work when I'm on leave. Cham lah..Xian also to see hundreds of emails when I return from my maternity leave....
=========================================
I borrowed my colleague's Kiddy Palace's membership card and went on shopping spree on Wednesday. Grabbed a packet of Fitti's newborn diapers, Tollyjoy's detergent, cotton wool and cotton balls, a changing mat and 2 sets of newborn clothings for bb to wear when she returns home with us from Glens. Daddy chose the clothings. I'm happy to see him being involved and getting anxious about seeing bb.

Then he was asking me if I wanna get the Mom In Minds sarong sling, which has a 10% off. I'm contemplating to get it, but then thought of heading down to Bishan their main brance to look see and also to learn. But then, as new born, I dont think I will be using the sling so soon for the 3 months right? Afterall, bb's bone is still so fragile and neck as well.

Well, wonder if there is any sponsor leh......

Last night over at MIL house, lucky there wasnt any major discussion that would upset me. Just one teeny weeny bit. I was craving for the canned braised peanuts and asked hubby if I can buy and eat at MIL's place with my porridge. He said okay, so I bought a can. Well, as expected lah, she nag lor, say she dont even dare take such things, then why I take lah, etc etc. Say is my life lah, want to die also my life lah, etc. Grrrr.....buay tahan.

hee hee, our dear colleague has just sent us the photos taken during the farewell lunch at West Coast Sakura. Yummy food at just $20 nett okay. Eat until my whole tummy want to burst man. It's really value for money and wish I had 2 tummies to fill! haha. Hubby had his get together at Royal Scotts Plaza and so both of us skipped dinner that day. This's taken with Sarah...Peng man, I look so plump!!!

Thursday again...

It's another Thursday yet again and is a rainy Thursday as well. I lost count of how many rainy Thursday since the start of 2007 man. I dread rainy Thursday because by the time we reach MIL's place, I'm nearly half drench in my small brolly. Sigh. Plus, the place is very stuffy when she close all the windows to do her cooking and it becomes really humid like a kitchen.

It's another 5.5 weeks to go before my EDD and I'm excited yet kind of sad that my pregnancy is coming to an end real soon. No more pampering from hubby, no more goody food from mummy, no more special treatment from colleagues and friends liao. Come to think of it, I am rather steady during my pregnancy, in the sense, I still do the housework as per norm such as hanging the laundry up and out of our window, mopping the floor (I've just helped hubby mopped 2 bedrooms and the living room last Sat), walking real fast to catch my bus and to rush for the MRT. hee hee. So I guess not so bad lah har. I'm amazed at myself that I can still mop the house. Although it is really very very tiring after that, but well, I did it. I just cannot stand hubby grumbling under his nose that I'm a dua pek gong lor. I know of many other gfs who dont even have to lay a single finger on housework during their pregnancy. How envy right!!!! Sigh, not my life.

So far, I'm experiencing aches ard my pelvis bone, sudden cramping of my womb, getting really hot and sweaty easily, cant sleep soundly at night too. Told myself, is another 5.5 weeks to go only...so just tolerate abit..

Today's back to MIL place for dinner. Wonder what would happen today....

=============================
Finally managed to make my reservations at Oriental Hotel on 2nd to 4th Feb.. Hee hee. Gonna spend early Valentine's day and our 1 year anniversary....Am given complimentary upgrade to Deluxe Harbour View room and late check out. Hee hee. But then seems like the harbour view room is smaller than the city view leh...Will check out and load the photos...Cant wait...

I'm 34 weeks...

So many updates for the weekend....
20th Jan 2007
We headed to Kc's place for little Rory's 1 year old birthday. The journey should take us only an hour or less, but due to the sudden heavy downpour and crowd from Orchard Road, it took us 2 hours to get there. Aiyo. We had to wait for 3-4 buses of 190 and 960 to go pass before finally made it to a not so pack 960. I was tired by then standing and waiting at the busstop and I was so hot and sweaty and was beginning to feel so argh. When we got up the bus, it was about 15 mins journey along the highway. No one gave up seat to me, so I stood with hubby lor, all the way.

When we reached Choa Chu Kang, my god, it wasnt raining at all! Aiyo....So anyhow, we made our way to her place. Hungry hungry, we were served her mum's homemade laksa, yummy. Wish I can have 2nd helping! Anyway, we stayed till about 8 plus before taking the bus back home to rest.

21st Jan 2007
Today marks our anniversary date~1 year 8 months since we Rom-ed.
Hubby has been pestering me if we should get a baby cot or not. In the end, I thought to myself, let hubby decide on this. And so he decided to get a baby cot. We headed to babyhyperstore at Kaki Bukit to place our order. We got a dark oak colour baby cot, that comes with free 9 piece bedding set for the baby. It costs $299, but we managed to close the deal at $270. Not so bad lor. The cot will be placed in our master bedroom and when guest comes during bb's first month, we would push it to her room next door. It will be delivered on 10th Feb.....Will put up photos when it's here. We still have a list of items yet to get. Have to borrow the Kiddy Palace card from my colleague to buy from Kiddy Palace soon...

We headed to mum's place for dinner and to NTUC to shop shop thereafter. They were having some pre Chinese New Year offers such as the toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, tissue packets etc. Just nice when it's on our shopping list.

22nd Jan 2007
Woke up in the morning feeling really tired. I thought I would pass by January without taking leave or MCs, but I was wrong. I just didnt feel the energy to get to work, so I asked hubby...Hee hee, he wasnt in the mood for work as well and throw in urgent leave for a day. I went to see my GP and got 2 days mc instead. So we made full use of the day to buy some of the stuffs. We headed to Beach Road, wanting to get hubby's deuter bag and Good Morning towel. But then the market was closed on the day for spring cleaning. How coincidence leh. So we headed back to TPY before returning home after a long long day...I was dead tired by then.

Hubby decided to try his first attempt to cook Chicken Rice with the pre-pack seasoning. IT was a successful attempt and easy as well. We had home made chicken rice for dinner. hee hee.

KC finally managed to send us the photo taken on Shirley's wedding...

Sad sad Friday as well..

Last night I fell asleep while hubby watched War & Beauty. I didnt feel good, didnt feel like talking at all either after returning from MIL's place. I felt hubby giving me a good night kiss before he fell asleep soon after.

I thought today would be a good and peaceful Friday for me, but then is not. Early morning, one of my colleague E came to tell me that A and C are not very happy that they have to take over some of my job while I'm on leave. I told E, I had plans initially, but now I intend to pass all to the temp girl if she is able to cope well. So that would leave A and C without any new duties to do mah. Then what are they complaining about? I just dont understand.

Somehow, I feel their own time would come too when they have their maternity leave. In a way, I'm lucky to have my leave during the same period as my sup. Otherwise, I am sure to cover her work one. So now everything is being pushed to E as the acting supervisor. In fact, I never wanted to take up the team lead role. I felt that E is a much more suitable candidate given her years of experience in the company. But boss very ngiao. He say he want paper qualification, and E doesnt have. See lah. This is what the society is.

So this troubled me liao lor. Then I was pouring out to Julie abt what happen at MIL house. So the more I thought back, the feeling didnt make me feel any better. Sigh. I can foresee more conflicts & disagreement to come during my confinement. Upset upset.

I've finally decided to go ahead to make reservations at Oriental after I asked hubby. I didnt want to book Ritz carlton against his decision. Otherwise, he would feel as if I have never regard his decision. So still waiting for the guy to reply back to us..Looking forward to the weekend.

I'm getting easily tired as the days pass. And my pelvis area is super duper suan and pain whenever I walk. It feels as if 2 bones are rubbing each other. Argh....And then as and when I start having Braxton Hicks Contractions. And I've gotta slow down and it looks so weird. hahaha. I'm gonna bring up suggestion to hubby to let me rest at home.

Sad Thursday

Why do I always feel sad and frustrated on Thursday night when I return home from MIL's place. Is always like this every Thursday and it takes me some time to get back to my old happy self. Today is not an exception again.

I must say I am a very demanding and fussy and petty DIL. I dont deny that. Probably coz I've always had my way being the only daughter and have been very pampered by my father. The moment I step in the house, it is always very stuffy and humid. It didnt help that it was raining. In fact, it made the whole house even more stuffy and humid because MIL would close all the windows in the kitchen while she cooks as it was raining and FIL dont open up the living room windows, as they dont like people to peep in. The only way the fresh air comes in is through the main gate. But half the gate is covered, because if one sits at the living room, he can been seen directly from the lift lobby by others. So MIL cover up half the gate.

So you see, hubby will have to on the fan for me in order to cool myself down and to get rid of the stuffiness in the house. With this, it got me very pek chek liao lor.

Then, dinner time. MIL now would join in to have dinner with hubby and myself in a small small table. I always rush my food down because my ear drums cannot take the harsh loud voice of hubby and MIL when they are having their conversation. They talk as if MIL is in the kitchen and hubby's in the bedroom. You know what I mean? I dont get it, why shout so loud when you are just sitting next to each other? So I always faster gobble my food and rush off to the living room to watch telly.

Then MIL started bringing up about the dos and donts during confinement AGAIN. Is always the same old story. At times I just wish hubby wont tell his mother EVERY single thing. It makes me feel we dont have any couple privacy at all. sigh

I was rather tired while sitting in the living room and doze off slightly. I cannot make myself comfortable in the wooden chair with that thin layer of cushion now that I'm preggie. Neither can I lay down comfortably on the chair to rest either. Period. Then SIL said she is coming home early as she have not seen us for a long time. So hubby said he will wait for her.

While SIL was having dinner in kitchen, she started asking hubby about who is gonna help me during confinement and who's gonna look after bb. Then I heard her saying :" Why are you running away from reality? The fact is bb is coming soon." Argh. Then I heard hubby telling her I would be resigning to take care of bb for a year. You know, I'm very one kind. I dont like others to interfere in what's husband and wife's business. They are concern, I know, but eventually the decision lies with the couple, right? Eventually the child upbringing lies with the couple right? So? Then SIL carried on saying her friend told her after delivery, one's gonna be very tired and blah blah blah. Yes, I know, and I've heard many friends of mine told me that as well. but the thing is, no one can offer their help, so if no one can offer help, I just have to cope myself right? And there are some mothers out there who did their own confinement themselves, care for baby themselves and still they are fine right?

Then, just before we head home, MIL shoved me a bag of cloth nappies that she had bought. I have already told hubby not to ask MIL to buy, because I know the things she buy I wont like it. Then what for make both parties so unhappy for? I have no choice right, since she has already bought the nappies, so I told hubby to pay her back. Then she took out another plastic sheet of flower flower type and said to me to use it as cover for fridge. I told her straight, no no, I dont want. Oh come on lor, I wont like these type of things one. Why wont she understand? Aiyah. I really dont know. Am I wrong to think this way? Hubby then told her, " I told you so right? What for waste money." So I guess she must have went to buy it for us.

Earlier, hubby kept telling her he is so happy he managed to find a glass jug for our hot water. This started all because MIL came to our place and commented that we shouldnt store the warm water in the plastic container. And she said she dont even dare drink the water! So this got into hubby and he went all out to find a glass jug. Then when he told MIL he found it, MIL told him that he should have got 2 jug instead mah. 1 where got enough. Everything must buy in pair. I was thinking deep down, buy everything in pair? What for when I dont need another one? And then end up like her keep everything in the house? No way.

And finally, the last straw came when hubby blant out that he have to clean the windows and window grills before new year and then he said maybe engage someone to come clean. SIL immediately say her friend's mother is doing house cleaning service at $50. But at $50, dont expect it to be very spick and span. Then I told hubby I dont want. Then MIL say she can offer to help, she will come over during weekend blah blah. Aiyah. I am trying to tolerate, ren ren REN!!!! The moment I step out of the house into the lift lobby, I flare up at hubby already. I told him why must he mention about the house cleaning thing for? I have already told him I wont engage someone to come clean our house. I'm very fussy when they dont do a good job and yet I still have to pay them. Then I grumble to hubby about the nappies. And he said that this is his mother's first time being granny, so she would naturally want to chip in or help out whenever she can. I told him I can understand but when it comes to buying things, pls dont buy, because I dont want to end up not liking the things they buy and then just become a white elephant.

Then already so angry har, when we took the cab, hubby told the driver to cut through Concord hotel, he went straight and say to us, at times the gate is closed, then have to make a U turn lah, then customers not happy why you make U turn. At times being nice doesnt help lah, etc. So I shoot back, the gate is open at night. Then he went on commenting lor, say depends one lah, sometimes close etc. We will see if it's open or not. And true enough, he turned his head and saw the gate open and he kept quiet! I dislike such drivers. If it's the customers' instruction to ask you to turn, you should turn. If it's closed, fine, the customer will bear the additional cost for the U turn right? Then??? He just went straight despite hubby telling him to turn.

Really really a bad bad thursday.

Blur day....

After days of sleeping with the fan on, hubby finally relented to let me on the aircon. I told him, the rainy season is over and is so humid to sleep with fan. For the past few days it was raining like nobody's business and was so cold. And furthermore, I forgot to switch off the kitchen light before I head off to work and hence, as a punishment, I have to sleep with the fan on. hee hee..

Today we went out to the main road for chicken rice. While walking back, aiyo, I saw the green man blinking, but thought still have time to cross. Who knows when I took that few steps, it turned red man. My colleague then pull me back lor. Aiyah, if I'm not preggy, I would have dashed across liao lor...Then they chided me lor..boo hoo.

My back is aching like hell and I have to keep tossing around in bed at night to find a comfortable position to fall asleep. I hardly have a good night sleep and wonder when this would last me till. When bb's born, I guess more sleepless night to come...

Our getaway plan isnt really working out. Hubby said he wanna try Oriental hotel which I thought is very nice, but ex and their rates doesnt include American buffet breakfast. It costs $25+++/ person. Then hubby changed his mind, he want a hotel whose rate comes with the ABF. I managed to find Marina Mandarin at $198+++, Orchard Hotel at $198+++ and Merchant Court $190. I didnt quite fancy Merchant Court's room leh, it looks very ordinary, doesnt give me that welcome feeling. Marina Mandarin just had a major renovation and so did Orchard. These 2 looks presentable enough. But on the other hand, I was thinking, this might just be my only chance to stay at Oriental. So why not just splurge on the 2 nights? Probably, we can only afford to have ABF for the first day and skip for the second day. Arbo its gonna costs us $100+++ for 2 days of ABF only leh. Not very worth har.

Told hubby to consider and we will discuss tonight again. Once that is settled, I'm looking forward to my rendezvous...hee hee

This morning on the way to work, at Farrer Park station, came in a pregnant woman with her hubby. Her tummy is very big, bigger than mine, then hor, when she came in har, the lady that was laying against the glass panel move in to let her lay on the panel leh. mmm...I did felt a little inferior at that point in time, because my tummy's so small as compared to others, and it gives people the impression that I'm probably at my 2nd trimester only. but in fact, I'm due to deliver in 7 weeks time! Yesterday I couldnt stand the humid air at the busstop and had to find a seat to settle down. I dont look forward to my last 4 weeks to work. I'm still thinking if I should take leave earlier so I can rest at home. Wonder by then how I would feel and be like...

I'm 33 weeks

Today marks another week of my pregnancy. It's just 7 weeks away from week 40 and I'm starting to get anxious and the more labour stories I hear, I get abit weak in the knees man.

Just had a little chat with my sup and she was telling my her experience and all. She said she had this tube inserted into her anus to remove her bowels. My gf also was asked to do that. I think Gleneagles would do that to all the ladies who come in for labour...Scary leh. I cannot imagine that to happen to me...eeewwww..and then she added on saying after labour, the nurse wil ask her to pee. And if she cannot pee, they will insert another tube to your uterus, so that you will pee....argh!!! Im going crazy..

I'm planning for a getaway with hubby to Grand Copthorne Waterfront during the weekend in Feb. Had actually wanted 20th to 21st, but then am worried if I would be due for labour or not. So think better play safe, push forward to 9th to 11th. Then hubby said he is having his IPPT on the 10th, so I have to push forward again to 2th to 4th Feb. haiz..This would be my last getaway private time with hb before bb arrives....By then, I really wonder when will we have private time again. Unless I can put baby at my mother's place during the weekend while I spend some time with hubby. Oh well..till then.

Monday blues..........

I dread Mondays honestly. Why must we start work on Monday? But then even if we start on Tuesday, I think I will dread Tuesdays.. hee hee.

We've finally got back our bamboo

So finally, we have got back our bamboo after a week's wait. How I discover they were home?

Well, we went out in the late afternoon to Baby Hyerstore and Baby Kingdom, before heading to Toa Payoh for our dinner. Then on the way home, hubby had bad stomachache and so he rushed home first, while I walked on slowly.

Then I looked up to see if our bamboo was still hanging there and they were gone!!! And so where could it be? They didnt call hubby and neither is it on the ground floor. Last night when we came home, we even looked up to see and it was still hanging there. I was anxious, and quickly rushed home to tell hubby.

I told him our bamboo is gone! So they are back. But why didnt they call us? I peer down and saw their window was opened, so we made our way down. Indeed, our bamboo is lying outside their unit. Their main gate was open as well. Hubby rang their door bell wanting to thank them. BUt......hb was rather pissed or disappointed. The guy answered the door and merely smiled relently. Oh well, considering they are a catholic family and yet such attitude. Hubby kept on grumbling and said the way he saw his $^&%* face, piss him off. So now we know what kind of neighbour we have. I've also learnt my lesson not to hang light clothes outside anymore. hmmmm...

Anyhow, the clothes were damn stinko lah, after a week, so I had to soak and rinse it off. My pink blouse had the marks of the pegs...boo hoo, I hope it will go off.
====================================
Singapore Mint was having an exhibition at Toa Payoh and I told hubby to get a pig coin since our bb is gonna be born in the year of the pig. He look see look see and spotted 1 that he like. It is from the Perth Mint and has only 70,000 minted. Here's how it looks like...it costs hb $75. He say is a gift for his bao bei daughter...

At baby hyperstore, we saw many many strollers. I've set my eyes on Peg perego and Maclaren. Not cheap lah, it costs about $221 and above for a steady one. Told hubby we will come to buy when bb's about 6 months old. Then we took a look at the baby cot. The whole bundle costs us about $299 which includes the mattress and the frame. I'm still considering, if we should purchase it. Was thinking to just let baby sleep on mattress, since they grow up fast and by then, they would also stop using the cot. So it's gonna be a white elephant...

We pop by to Baby Kingdom to see and managed to get the cloth diapers and liners. Had wanted to get the nail cutter for babies, but then, it looks like an ordinary nail cutter used for adults mah, and I dont see why we have to pay $9 to pay for that baby nail cutter, so I told hubby dont buy. We are suppose to get a brand new set of baby clothing for bb to wear on day of discharge. Hubby said he will go buy at Robinsons. I've gotta get him involved. He sure is as excited as I am.

I'm starting to get frequent braxton hicks already. At times it hurts quite badly that I've to slow down my walking speed. But it goes off very fast. Hubby doesnt seem to understand and thinks that it's too early for me to start having such contractions. hmpf. Then bb's been getting lesser space to move about. So when she moves or turns, aiyo, I can see a big movement on my tummy and it hurts at times too that I would call hubby for help. Then he would tell bb to be guai guai and not kick mummy. Hee hee..

I'm tired....

I didnt have another good night sleep yesterday yet AGAIN!!!! I'm so deprive of sleep now...Why so?? boo hoo....And then every morning at 740am when I step out of the house, I would definitely bump into the 2 rascals. I cannot stand them. They were playing with the lift, sister at one lift, brother at the other lift. Pressing the button up and down and caused the lift to stay at 12th floor for a VERY long time, while their mummy and grandpa got ready in the house! My god! I couldnt afford to wait for them to leave before I do, so I opened the door and went to the lift. I mean come on lah, why cant the mother discipline her 2 kids? It's affecting so many others who are waiting for the lift to get to work leh.

Then when I got in the lift, they pressed the button and my door opened again! Argh!!!! The mother then told them off at this point only. Buay Tahan. Then my lift stopped at 5th floor. I bet the couple must be thinking I'm holding on the lift. damn.

I told hubby I wont allow my children to mix with them. I dont understand why the family is so rowdy and loud. They open their main door, on the telly damn loud such that I can even hear from my unit and then talk as if the whole floor belongs to them. Yesterday our house was very humid, so I opened our main door ajar, while watching the Fan Li Hua show. Aiyo, I cannot concentrate with the kids screaming and grandpa talking so loud that I close the main door later. And still I can hear. argh......

Hubby is hooked on War & Beauty and have to watch every night until 11pm, then he will continue for 15 mins to watch news. Sigh....I would be only able to have peaceful sleep after he tucks in to bed with me.

Today's Thursday. Thursday is mark as MIL day. MIL is cooking black chicken soup with red dates for me today. I'm worried about bb's growth. I'm already 8 months, but bb is just estimated to be 1.4 to 1.5 gm. I've been a bad mummy too. Been drinking only a small cup of milk every morning before I head to work. Julie has chided me, told me to up my milk by at least 3 to 4 cups and to have lots of bed rest during CNY. That's how her bb put on weight during the last stage too. Got to head her advice. Brought a small tin of milk powder and mug to office today. Office has decided to demolish the use of styrofoam cups to save the environment, so we have to bring out own mugs.

Sob sob...

I made a huge boo boo like I mentioned yesterday in my blog. So regretful. How can I be so forgetful? I even wrote down on the calender at the study table that there is a lecture on 9th Jan and is from 7-9pm and yet, I keep thinking to myself why would I indicate on a Tuesday when all along my lessons is every wed?

And so, I forgot all about it. Hubby was terribly upset, he kept telling me he is looking forward to attend classes and it was his last lesson. He said he like to attend class and now there's nothing to look forward to. And he went jogging yesterday thinking that there is class today... boo hoo. I apologize to him. I reflected and thought, if it turned out to be hubby's fault to miss the class, I would sure blow up my temper one, but look, he didnt shout at me. He just felt very upset, and made me feel worst. I'm sorry dearie.

The next makeup class is on 6th March leh, by which I may have delivered. I told hubby, otherwise, he go himself on 6th March lah. Is just 2 hours only. He told me to call TMC up to see if there is any chances that the class was cancelled or not. I dont know. Maybe will ask him to call....

And then I also just discovered that Starhub had penalised us with $200 penalty! Is a huge mistake man! My contract for maxonline to what I understand ends on 23rd Dec, as I signed the contract on 24th Dec 2005. And so I renewed my contract on 23rd Dec 2006 and then when I receive my Jan's bill, got a huge shock to see a $200 penalty for early termination. Oh come on man, even if my bill cycle starts from 31st Dec, from 23rd Dec to 31st Dec is just another few more days right? What difference does it make??? Angry... told hubby to settle it.
===========================
Just called hubby, he seems busy the whole day. He said starhub said it is a billing mistake and will waive off. Haha, they had better waive off man.

I'm 8 months.....

Aiyo....I'm starting to feel discomfort liao...My chest feels so tight when I lie down in bed to sleep at night such that I feel I'm not getting enough oxygen to breathe.

Then I'm having very bad backache and is disturbing my sleep. And on top of that, aiyo, I'm getting up to pee twice nightly again, just like during my first trimester. Peng san leh.

Tummy's getting tighter as I'm closer to my due date. It feels as if it will explode anytime, like a balloon. Somehow it doesnt feel as heavy yet, but then I have difficulties in picking up speed to walk now. But hubby still think I'm in my 3rd month! He would pull me along at his normal walking speed and I've gotta catch up. Gently reminded him, dearie, I'm now 8 months, not 3 months leh...cannot walk fast liao...hee hee...

And plus when bb does her gong-fu kick at my left side, aiyo, it sure hurts and feel so uncomfortable lor...So hb will tell bb to be guai guai dont kick mummy.

We stayed up late to watch the channel 8 show on growing up. Wah, yesterday's show was an eye opener okay! It showed this lady 3 weeks before she is due, what she has packed for her stay in hospital, how she was being induced and waited for her water bag to burst, how she gave in to epidural( this is a killer!!!) and how bb girl was delivered eventually.

I freak out seeing the long needle during the epidural leh!! I told hb after the show, no way I'm taking epidural if that long needle is to be injected at my spine and have to squeeze the medication so long!! No way!!! I see the lady's face crumpled up, in pain, and her finger nails sink into the pillow, I feel her pain leh. Hubby went weak also...So scary!

But at the moment when the bb was delivered, aiyo, so cute leh...She didnt cry also. I expected bbs to cry once they are delivered. Wonder how my bb girl would be...Aww....hubby got so excited watching the documentary. He told bb that he is very excited to see her soon. He will be a good dad.
===========================
Today is the 3rd day that our bamboo is still stuck on the 9th floor. Cham leh. It was raining last night and today. Boo hoo, my pink blouse...think gone case liao....Really wonder where did the family went to and when they will be back....aiyo...so cham.
===========================
Aiyah!! I just discovered that we have missed our 6th lesson on the doctor's talk today!!! I keep thinking it is tomorrow and who knows, wah liao eh, is today....Damn! and the next class is 6th March, by which I would have already been due for deliver....wasted leh....Hb's angry at me...boo hoo...

Dread Mondays

2nd part of our bamboo saga....

We got ready to head to mum's place for dinner and decided to pop by 11th Floor to see if they were home. And the door was open, we happily rang the doorbell and waited. The maid came and we explained to her. Hubby told her to sweep the bamboo down and he would head down to ground floor to pick it up.

I went back home and waited. No sight of the bamboo. And then, I saw my pink blouse hanging on the window ledge!!! Alamak! The maid had used too little force and the bamboo was stuck at the 9th floor now. Damn!

Hubby tried his luck to go to 8th floor, but the unit is not occupied. Aiyo, so no choice, we left a note on the 9th floor door and waited...

We waited for hb's hp to ring, but it did not. We came home early from mum's place so that if they call, we would be around. Hubby didnt shower until 10pm and I felt so bad. He wanted to wait till the family returns home, but seems like they didnt come home the whole night. Hubby even went down twice. Once before he shower and then before he sleep. Is all my fault. I felt so bad that I said a very sincere sorry to him and instead, he didnt scold me. He said, IF it was him who hang out the clothes, he would sure to get scolding from me. haha.

Anyway, this morning, hubby wrote another note and left it on the door before he headed off to work...damn lah. Really so suay....xian xian..What if they are on holiday? god knows when they are gonna return...When can I get back my pink blouse and underwear...sob sob....
============================
Few weeks back, we discovered that little Junior knows how to go home! Surprise Surprise. Because we always thought once he is out, he wont want to head home, but he want to and will head home! I didnt manage to get a snapshot of his action, will try one day....Smart boy!

What luck...

Aiyah, what luck leh, our bamboo flew off due to the strong wind and landed at our neighbour's aircon ledge...and they arent at home and it dampen our mood. We had wanted to head to baby hyperstore to take a look, but looks like, argh...spoilt our mood liao lah. See.....told hubby to leave a note on the door, but he insisted to leave it only when we are heading to my mummy's place for dinner. So be it lor.

========================

Yesterday was my check up and surprisingly, there werent much people at the clinic! Both hubby and myself were very very surprised and so happy that we didnt have to wait long. We reached there at 10am and was out of the clinic at 1030am. hee hee. Everything is fine for bb, she is growing well, and estimated to be 1.4-1.5 kg. I'm kind of disappointed, because I'l be 8 months on Tuesday and was hoping that she would be 2kg liao, so that when I'm 9 months, she will be at a nice 3 kg. Dr Chong assured me that bb would put on weight very fast between 8-9 months and asked me not to worry.

I asked him why is my tummy smaller compared to others who are at the same due date. He said many women asked him this question and this was what he replied to them. Mother's tummy size doesnt matter. What matter most is the baby inside is growing well and developing well at a healthy range. And because this is my first pregnancy, many first time mummies tummies are still very taut and hence, the muscle doesnt stretch much and tummy appear to be smaller. That's why teenage girls who are pregnant, their own parents didnt even know they were pregnant, because their tummy muscles is very taut and doesnt stretch much. He added on, I should be happy instead. And that come 2nd pregnancy, I wont be expecting such a small tummy by then.

As it was still early, I asked hubby if he mind taking a walk to Botanic Garden for a stroll. There were many people there, some jogging, some picnic, some just taking leisure stroll. We headed to the swan lake and I spotted many turtles....This was one huge turtle I spotted. Then I spotted another pair, a smaller one that seem to keep provoking another bigger one with his claws. So notti.

We headed further down to take a look at the 2 swans. I told hubby they are swans, but he said they are geese.

I managed to snap a close up when 2 young kids started feeding the swans with bread...They didnt seem to be afraid of humans and even tried to snatch the bread...gee...

Happily munching up the bread...even the fishes came along...

And to end our day, we took a snap at the swan lake...

Tiring, but who cares. It's Friday!!!

I'm tired, tired tired....Been sleeping at 12midnight lately and once I get to bed, I cannot fall alseep because I have past my bedtime! So I chat chat with hubby and once I hear him snoring, I xian half lor...that means I have to fall sleep fast!

=======================================
Last night we headed to MIL house for dinner. We sat down together for dinner. MIL has her usual seat, so she cant really eat comfortably when I'm sitting at her usual seat, so I often finish my dinner fast so that hubby and her can sit down and makan together. And I can faster rush off to watch telly and not let my ears suffer. hee hee.

I was perhaps 30% pissed off. It's always the same old case despite me reminding hb many many times already. As they are a hokkein family, they often use vulgarities like nobody's business and I hate it so much. And each time hb says a %^&*, I would say him and he just apologize. But so what? He doesnt learn his lesson and so does his mum like that also! How??? I told him I dont want our girl to grow up learning that it is okay to say vulgarities since papa and nai nai does it. I have reminded hubby to tell his mother, but then still like that. Then??? argh..this is so frustrating.

Anyway, I have already told hubby about my thoughts. And hope he will try his best to accomodate me....

I can feel the excitement in MIL and FIL when hubby asked if they are anxious to carry their grandchild or not. Hubby was just saying, next month I'm delivering...I dont want next month. I want bb to arrive on exactly my EDD. I told hubby, since she let us strike 4D with her edd, I'm pretty sure she will arrive on that day. Let's just hope and see....

Just before bedtime yesterday, I was trying to flip my comforter and felt something rough. I could have not bothered, but it was irritating and so I search and found this small tag at the corner, where the laundry shop tag it when I brought the comforter to dry clean. On that tag, were 4 magical numbers and it coincides with our number. How coincidence can that be. I told hubby to place bet on that number and hope lady luck is on our side...

Yesterday, 2 colleagues asked how many months I was. They thought I was just 6 months, judging from the size of my tummy. I felt abit disturbed and upset lah. It means to say my tummy is small for my stage of pregnancy lor. Then just now another colleague commented the same thing too! *frown* I know the size of tummy doesnt tell the size of baby. Only my gynae would know if baby is in the healthy range and weight or not. Tomorrow will be going for my next check up and I am keeping fingers crossed that baby has put on weight and is well.

All's well

Okay, so wanna know what eventually happen yesterday?

Well, I sms-ed hubby 6 msg and didnt get any reply till after lunch. And it wasnt related to any of the sms. It was asking him to buy 4D for me in case the number open. Anyhow, at 5 plus, he sms to jio watch Curse of the Golden Flower. I had been pestering him to watch the show with me since it officially launched. Well..I was hesistating, coz I'm still abit affected by what he wrote. I wrote a long letter in office wanting to talk to him at night, but I didnt get a chance to read the letter to him.

My gf said since he has already taken the move to ask me for a show, it goes to show he's no longer angry and is willing to give in. So why should I still be stubborn about it. Hearing this, I think, maybe I ought to give in alittle too, since he has give way. I'm glad I did.

Is always the same, each time after a quarrel, he will be lovey dovey with me, hold my hand, kiss my hand, pat pat lah, etc. At night he bao me to sleep lor...I mean sweet lah, but let's see how long this will last.

Before bedtime, we talked. I told him how hurt I was when I got to know what he wrote and he said I made him very angry and that's why he wrote those angry words. I can understand lor, coz like myself when I'm angry, I can say things that I would never have said.

But I'm just glad the storm is over lah. Is really not healthy to keep arguing. I have also stepped back. I told hubby he can have his choice to name bb for the Chinese name and I will name the English name. Fair & Square.

======================================
Back home, I spotted a handwritten notice at the lift lobby. It states : " Cat Abusers, I know who you are. Stop your action or I will call the police." My god, we have cat abusers at our block? Terrible! I was just telling hubby the 3 little kittens seem to have disappeared since I last saw them. Scarly......*shudders*

Today's back-to-mil's place for dinner.

The first quarrel of year 2007

We have started our first cold war of the year 2007.

It sparked off when we went to Mos Burger for a drink and there was a table that had a packet of tissue placed on the table indicating it was reserved. I saw the lady went to the counter to place her order and I told hubby about it. He then raised his voice and became very MCP saying " where got such things? Put tissue means reserve table" etc etc. I tried to reason out with him, but he just didnt bother and told his 2 other buddies to just sit down.

I felt very bad for that lady, since she was alone and it was so pack. So how could she place her order and then look for am empty seat? So I sat one side and waited. While hubby just sat down with his 2 buddies and continue their conversation on what to order.

I was already so fuming mad. Then true enough, the lady came back. Hubby then asked her is she alone? then she said yes and hubby said, they can share tables. And I saw another empty seat at a corner and think the lady also paisay, so I told her there's another seat there and she moved on. I dont know what she is feeling, but I sure didnt feel good. When I sat down, I told hubby, " You see, I told you right, she is sitting here" Then he rebarked back and I got fed up and shouted back. I cannot take it and was already so mad. He then asked me what I wanted to order and I just told him I dont want anything. I just wanted to go home.

While his 2 buddies went to place order, I snatched the bag, took my keys, my wallet and handphone and told him I'm going home. He then tried to reason out but I didnt want to listen at all. When they were back with their orders, I sat there for less than 5 mins and it seems so long that I cannot stand and just told him, I'm going home and left.

I was soooo angry such that I wanted to burst out crying. As expected, hubby called. I wish the train was here earlier, coz he spotted me waiting at the platform and took the same train back with me. The journey was horrendous and I just didnt want to see him at all. He tried being nice etc etc, but sorry that doesnt work.

At home, I totally ignored him and just did my own things. I couldnt take it and started sobbing. It felt so hurt and painful inside, I dont understand why does hubby behave this way infront of his friends? Is it a man's ego?

I stayed in the bedroom and watched TV. When hubby came in, I went out to the living room and sat there. I fell asleep not long while he slept in the room. He woke up around 7 pm and watched telly. Not long later, he got mad with me again, because I refuse to answer him and he kept mumbling under his breathe, and asked me to go back my parents home.

I was stabbed again and I stormed into the MBR and sob. So hurtful. He is in the wrong and yet....I stayed in the room in total darkness, pondering why this happen. I didnt exchange a word with him even though he came to talk to me nicely asking if I wanted dinner, if I'm hungry etc. I just simply cannot swallow it in.

I was woken up halfway through my sleep and saw hubby writing his diary again. I read it this morning and was even hurt by what he wrote in there, such that I got so depressed and upset.
I sent him couple of messages this morning and told him I needed time off to cool things. I just cannot talk at this present moment. There was no reply until now.

In fact, we had a disagreement about booking the single or double ward. This is the first time for me and I really dont know what to expect and I have never stayed overnight at a hospital before and I am afraid of being alone. But to hubby, he is thinking of saving whereever possible, so he is asking me to take the double ward. But with double ward, he cannot stay over to accompany me at night. And because of this, we argue again. He wrote down saying that he will not give in to me for this and if I insist, he will not pay a single cent of the medical bill.

Then, I realise that hubby does mind about not being able to name his child. He thinks is only a name and why he dont have a right to name it. I do allow him to make decision, but the names that he has chosen is so common and I really dont want a common name. I have already told him that. He wanted to name Jia Hui. Once of my colleague has this name and so does some of my primary school friend. So why this name? I tried to reason with him. And I thought he is okay with my decision to name, but yet, when I got to know this morning, I'm disappointed. I told him that if he wants to name, fine with me, because I dont want to live on knowing that he blames me for not allowing him to name his own child.

I just have no mood to work, I wanted to take half day leave, but thinking is such a waste. I just want to be alone at home.

I'm 31 weeks...

The past 2 weeks pass by so fast....First it was Xmas, then it was the countdown to Year 2007. And now is a brand new year and soon next month, it's Chinese New Year and our first year anniversary. So fast!!!

I'm now counting down to my EDD. If I were to deliver exactly on my EDD, it would be another 9 more weeks to go only. I'm rather excited and scared and wonder what to expect. I never had this feeling during my first and second trimester. I guess once the clock strike midnight on 31st Dec and 2007 arrives, it just strike me that bb's gonna arrive very soon.....
