Mum told me that dad is planing to go Genting in Nov during the Deepavali holiday.
Sort of hinting if we are keen to tag along. I am of course!

And now that we are collecting reyes's pp this sat, perhaps this may just be the first holiday for us as a family. But I'm worried abt the long journey on the coach. Hubby suggested taking those luxury type of coach, so that rie has sufficient place to move about.

I'm not really sure if she will be able to stay good for such long hours...And food is gonna be another problem for Reyes.

Just read this news online. How scary it is! I once did my attachment in China too!

SINGAPORE: A second—year student from Singapore Polytechnic has died in a pub brawl in China’s Heilongjiang province. Three people have been arrested.
China’s Xinhua news agency reported on September 25 that 19—year—old Chia Ming Jin and nine other students had gone to a karaoke lounge in Jiamusi city.
They were in China on a six—week industry attachment that began on September 6.
The group had invited a girl, who also brought her friends along.
Xinhua said a fight later broke out and Chia was stabbed in the right leg.
He died of massive bleeding in hospital.
His body will be brought back to Singapore. Chia’s father and uncle are in Jiamusi to arrange for the return of the body.
Singapore Poly said it is counselling the students who were at the lounge.
But they and their parents said they want to remain in the city for the rest of the attachment

I'm sorry baby...

I had a rude shock this evening.

The kids woke up from their afternoon nap and since rie was hungry, I made hot the peanut butter donut for her to munch. Of course Reyes upon seeing such goodies, cant resists himself and I fed him some too. This was a huge mistake...

After few mouthful, he started to scratch his face. At first, I thought it was just a normal itch or maybe something got into his way. I then went to wet a hanky and wipe his face. He seems to like it, think it relief the itch. But he still continued to scratch and he started crying too! And he proceeded to scratch his neck and it got me really worried sick, coz he was so red!

Tiny bumps started to appear around his forehead, under the eye area and his mouth area and his lips started to swell like sausages! It was exactly the same reaction when we first fed him with formula milk! It's an allergy! And it's peanut butter!!! Bang head man!!!

I didnt know what to do and made a bottle for him to drink. It seems to help him calm down but he stopped and rie pointed to me something red on the teats and it was blood. Reyes' lips were bleeding, I dont know why. Perhaps coz his lips swell too fast and so the blood vessels burst? Got so worried sick.

I didnt call hb coz I know he's on the way home in about 30mins time. I quickly took reyes to the bathroom for a shower, to distract him from scratching himself. It did work for a few mins. Took him out and drown the remaining bottle of delrosa. By then, the redness seems to have lessen, but his lips remained swollen....

IN all, by the time hb was home, he was close to his normal looks, except the swollen lips...Sigh...Bad mum. All my fault.

Walking walking...

Yesterday evening, I witness Reyes taking 3 steps on his own while alone in the living room. Woo hoo, I was so excited...

And this afternoon, he actually walked with more confidence on his own. Out of boredom, I ransack our shoe cabinet for riesia's old shoes to see if Reyes can fit them. Found 1 pair and put it on for him.

He was really excited and actually crawled away from me as he thought I'm gonna remove it for him. After awhile, I removed them and he threw tantrum by kicking his feet on the floor.

The minute I put it on again, he smiled and crawled to the door. Must be thinking I'm gonna bring him out for a walk.

It's time to start shopping for Reyes's shoes....

Our baby is back...

We are really pleased with the job done on our baby! As promised 2 days nia and we can collect our baby back.

I was really anxious to see whats the 70-80% result looks like. To my eyes, it looks like 100%! But of course, I'm not an expert, but I'm very pleased to see it back to shape, no wavy shape or whatsoever that the guy mentioned.

But to them, they see such repairs everyday, they know where the flaws are.

I'm just happy....and once again, I felt so stress to drive on the road again, especially after office hours...So heavy traffic and boy I was really really stressed! I lost count of how many cars overtook me. haha.

Updates about Small R...

Finally the first tooth has erupted....and I wasnt the first to discover it! Call myself a SAHM. Shame on me.

My mum was the one who discovered it when she squeezed in some bread to Reyes's tiny mouth and felt something rough on his lower gum. And true enough, next few days, I can see the white tip liao! Thank god he was not fussy or having fever or anything at all!

And the tooth next to the white tip is starting to show too..I think soon he will get his 2 front teeth...It wont be long before he can start to bite back his sister! muahahahah.

I've been training Reyes to take his first step for the past few weeks and seems like today is the day he achieve a big feat. He took 5 steps and walked towards me without any support! It happened in the afternoon and I didnt get a chance to record it. I tried it again, but he doesnt want to do it anymore. But I can see he is happy to be able to start walking too!

I tried it again when hb was home and yap yap, after much attempt, Reyes did it again..So happy for him. Right now, whenever he wants to walk or go somewhere, he will look for my hand and will want to hold it in a certain way and start dragging me to where he wants to go. It's so fun to play with him now too when he is able to understand simple instructions.

Of course, on the other happy side of him, there is the ugly side too. I cannot stand his wailing and he can easily fight with Rie man. And now that he is getting smarter, he knows how to retailiate back! He snaps back at you with his right hand when he is mad.

Do you remember I bought this musical chair by fisher price for rie when she was young? Now it belongs to Reyes as he deemed.

Whenever it's meal time, I would say, "go to your chair" and he would scrumble as fast as he could and sit there, waiting for me. Hahahahah...I'm amazed that he understood what I said the first time! Couldnt believe it. And when rie sits on his chair, he would head there and push her away or pull her hair to ask her get lost. once she's gone, he plops his fat butt and grin with the victory smile.

Surprise that was not meant to be a surprise..

Well well..it was suppose to be a surprise for me, but hb ruin it all by telling me about it despite my parents asking him to keep mum. Why? Coz he lazy to go and plan lah! That's why he told me.

Dad and mum had in mind a surprise birthday party for me on Sat at their place. Hubby's duty was to invite his buddies and my friends. But he didnt know how to contact my friends and he was also lazy, so he let the cat out of the bag. End up, I told him, I didnt want to create such a big fuss, coz next month Reyes birthday will be up and they will be here again.

Anyway, I gotta play along lor, so act surprise the minute I stepped out of the lift lobby. Dad was alone outside shouting " Surprise!" ahahahah...

The mini deco that my parents did up. I am really touched for what they did for me. Blowing up all the balloons, mum tying them with rubber bands one by one then tie with strings and hanging up on the ceiling. Imagine dad balancing on the stood to tie..I dont think my bro will even offer help.

I received a gold anklet from my parents. Mum said mine broke in the pool the other time at RTC. Not cheap leh.

THere wasnt much crowd and the food left was soooo much.

The birthday song...All the kids were really excited and reyes too!!!I was so worried about his feet touching the cake and the flame!

Had family photo taken, but alas, it was blur!!!! This camera sometimes do disappoint me. Or perhaps it is the lousy photographer's skill! Darn.

At the end of the day, hubby said, I am very fortunate to have my parents and I must put in more effort to cherish them. Yes I must. And I'm planning for mum's big 60th birthday party next year. Any suggestions?

The Flyer

This day was meant to be a happy day, but it ended otherwise...sigh, yes, this was the doom day for our poor zoom zoom...
Anyway, pix here...hb insisted on bringing his parents to the flyers and we booked the tix online. In case you are keen to go, there's 20% off on weekdays and 10% off on weekends if you book online.

Well well, as expected, the old lady fly kite again, without thinking twice about her own son's thoughts and the trouble to get back refunds. Might as well, I"m jolly happier without her presence too.

FIL tagged along and rie was happy to see him around. Here's a happy pix of rie before we board our capsule..There wasnt much people and I was praying hard we didnt have to share...

None of the people wanted to share too! and so we had the whole place to ourselves! Woo hoo...

If you notice Reyes wore shoes.. They were bought by SIL when he was just few days old and the shoes states 12-18months and it was already just nice for him! I doubt he can wear it next month.

He found the shoes really weird and kept looking and refusing to walk in them. haha.

Reyes and me...

I have very very few pix taken with Reyes alone. Sigh..I love taking pix and always end up being the photographer and hardly have pix of myself in it. I will make it a point to insist on hb to help me take more pix. But the thing is, he takes lousy pix!!! It is either he didnt zoom in or we are standing too near right or left or he included some other outsiders in the pix and spoilt the whole thing. : P

Botanic Gardens...

Hubby suggested we head to ECP on Wed morning, but I was dead tired and so we all woke up late. So I suggested to go somewhere nearby - Botanic Gardens. They had this children's place area - Jacob Ballas Children's Garden.

So we headed there after lunch on a warm afternoon...

There was hardly anyone, I'm glad. At least we can have the whole place to ourselves! Some pix to share...

Look at the mini fenced up garden, so many fruits...BUt then some were already ripe and were rotten.... Look at the Papayas!!!

At the waterplay area...Reyes was so excited and couldnt wait for me to change him, after seeing Riesia heading down first.

I cant recall how long we spent at the waterplay. It was tiring for me and hb, coz we had to squat and stand under the hot sun, while the kids enjoyed themselves with water splashing...

We headed to the Swan Lake so that rie can feed the fishes, swans and turtles. Reyes was dead tired by then and so was I! We spent like 25mins walk from the carpark all the way to Swan Lake and back under the hot sun.

Well, end up, Rie got tired of feeding the swans and I had to take over. Then we headed back home to rest. The reward? A nice tan for all of us...hee hee..

Ended the day with buffet dinner at The Traders Hotel. It was my lunar birthday too. Food wasnt that bad, but I had no appetite..too exhausted from the day outing. Didnt take any pix.

The damage

It was meant to be a happy outing for us, but ended the day with a huge spoiler.

Got involved in a minor accident on the road, so xian. Spoilt my mood the whole night.
Stupid coach bus driver, so yaya. Say company will call hb on his mobile, ie claim insurance against us.

End up evening called hb to say want to settle outside, coz very troublesome to go through company to claim insurance. Was told by dad that to claim insurance, need at least a min. amt before you can claim.

His bus at most is just paint scratch nia. Claim what. And he's asking for $70 from us.

But our poor babe...suffered 2 fist dent and paint scratch. Boo Hoo..my heart ache so much. She will never be the same again.

Measure measure me...

Cant help but to measure reyes..Been wanting to know how tall he is now...

Made him lay on the mat and took a quick measure. It says 79cm.
Made him stood against the wall and it stays 76cm. So what is accurate???

Mum's weighing scale stood at 9.4kg...but everyone is complaining that he looks so thin. (ie, without the fatty thighs, arms and double chin that Riesia has at Reye's age)

Sigh..made me like a bad mum, as if I didnt provide him with enough milk and food. Mil said indirectly that I am always feeding him only when he is at the extreme of hunger. I dont leh. Is just that suay suay whenever she is around, I'm caught still cooking or not yet feeding Reyes when he is already yelling for food. And she will always say : " I knew it what, he is already hungry". : p

Rie's going for her final jab next Thursday. I pray and hope she will not kick a fuss. Ah, can take this opportunity to find out Reyes stats too..but Dr also anyhow measure one leh.

Stomach Flu...

Was told by friends that there's the stomach flu virus spreading around now...one of my close gf's son was done and another forum mum's twin boys are hospitalised....

The last episode with Riesia was terrible and I definitely dont want to go through it again.

Hubby's going for a minor opt tomorrow at TTSH and doing a scope too...

He's been bugging me to send him there in the wee morning 630am and then rush back before 7am. What about the kids? "Leave them at home" he said. Gee.

I feel very sorry for him to wake up at 530am to boil soup for us and head out alone in the morning, taking the bus to TTSH. He's gotta reach there at 730am. Sigh. Wish I can tag along with him. I cant even pick him up from TTSH when he's done.

We've just collected Reyes's passport photo. Oh darn, he looks so du yet cute! And I realised that I had misplaced Riesia's passport photo leh..sob sob..duno where it is. I've given to MIL one, maybe I'l try to ask it back from her..whahahahah...

I didnt blog about Rie for quite sometime..

She's still the same darling, just that she is trying to vye for my attention as well. And so, she started crawling (AGAIN), gabbling words and mumbling, wailing for my attention. Basically is a what-reyes-do, I-copy. So it can be a little eee for me at times and I just lose my cool, especially when she wails. Grr....

But I do think I hardly have time alone with her, coz I have to attend to Reyes's needs first before I can attend to hers. Except when she needs to pee, thats' first priority! So I told myself I will try to make time for her and still let her know that she is still my baby.

This afternoon, I saw her imitating what I did to her to Reyes. OMG lor. Whenever she's isnt listening to what I'm saying, I pull her ears and say "Listen to me listen to me" and she did that to Reyes when he wasnt bothering about her! muahahahahh...

There was once in the afternoon when she was talking to Reyes and you know lah, he just bo chap her. She turned to me and said : "mama, Reyes dont care me" Sometimes I feel she picks up words really fast and her forming of sentences are not that bad leh. At least we can hold a decent conversation like an adult.

Last night hb was reading up on the car manual and she crept behind him and said "papa, what are you reading." I do wish Reyes can hold a conversation with us soon. He can now only communicate with me using eye contact and his woo woo sounds..

Wet shower...

Sigh..I guess I was just expecting it. When it happened, I just kick myself in the ass man.

Rie showered our handbrake with pee last night...Sigh...So fed up. Just 5 mins ago, I was still dragging her to the toilet to pee before we made our way to mum's place. She insisted no pee, so we left..

And while I was pasting the season parking and the road tax coupon on the windscreen, she shouted : shee shee. Kao and the sound of pee pouring all over the handbrake..argh!

I just scream my head off and dragged her out with the pee dripping all over the backseat...TMD.

So fed up man. And the mat was all wet underneath the driver's seat. Argh. Fed up. n

Saw this pix of reyes and it reminded me of rie when she was young.

Bao Factory...

Then it was lunch time at Yew Tee, before we head down to the bao factory, somewhere I dont know where. haha...Had a light nap on the bus..so dead tired by then.

Look at the hoards of ah mahs and aunties...and of course the baos...

And the crystal baos..and shun kueh. I had wanted to buy some back, but hb said, all the aunties stand there, talk talk talk, all the saliva on the kuehs, he dont dare to buy. muahahahahah

So end up, I bought only Lo Mai Kai and a prepacked small baos...no salivas mah!

Then we went to this Taiwan Snack distributor warehouse. Wah, I'm so happy to go there, coz I can get the pineapple tarts again! Been thinking about it since Blur bought a box specially from Taiwan for me..I finished up! This time bought 2 boxes..Already finished 1 box.

Maybe next time if got craving, can drive down there to buy. hoo hoo...

By then, I was too busy shopping, so didnt take anymore pix...

Overview of the frog farm area..There was this young girl explaining to us about male and female bullfrogs..then she asked who's interested to try and hold it and hb immediately put up his hands...haha, I expected it. He is that gungho.

Rie also had a feel to pat pat the froggy. I felt so ke lian for the frog...there was this bunch of over enthusiastic kids who wanted to try to hold the frog, but coz it was very slimy, and it kept jumping, they let it go and the frog fell down to the floor. Sigh...So poor thing leh.

I'm a happy mum...

Reyes first word : "Mama!" Woo Hoo!!!

Actually since the past few days, we have been hearing him uttering "mama", but we just weren't sure if it was just a mere mumble off his mouth or was he for real, calling me?

It's only today that I can confirm. Each time he wanted me, he would shout out "mama" and non stop! ahahahahah.....I'm so happy. Hubby is so jealous, coz he's been helping me take care of him most of the time too but yet...

I told him, God is fair. Rie called "papa" first, so Reyes called "mama".

We took Reyes for a haircut and he looks so neat. Still not used to his short hair look.Can you guess what he is doing from the look on his face? hahaha...Submit me your answers via my shoutbox....

Goat Farm...

I insisted on rie taking photo here...unwillingly pose for me and refuse to look at the camera. Here comes the goaties...

Their medela pump. The guy told us that these does only able to produce milk when they give birth. And he can use them up to 10 years.

I didnt support one of the statement that he said. He said that goat milk can replace breastmilk. : P

We bought goat milk home to drink. It tastes different from the milk that we normally consume, but still alright...
